Affordable, easy to put together
Just finished putting it together on my own. That's why I love IKEA so much. The turquoise looks amazing, combined with blush pink and flowery green/beige/burgundy cushions.Very impressed with how easy was to build. My only advice is to start with the cushion covers, while you are still full of energy and patience :)Delivery service was also excellent. One star less is for the very low armrests, not very comfortable when lying, wish they were a little higher to make it perfect.... Show more

Beautifull but disappointing delivery service
The product was partially delivered and we found that on assembly day that was so late. Going to Ikea store to get the cover took a lot of time. However, the product looks comfortable and beautiful. I am not sure about quality becauelse all weight is only tolorared by 2 screws. I hope it stay in the same condition and quality for years.... Show more

Brilliant with feet
These are fantastic sofas. Really comfortable and well built. I found they were too low down in the store and talked with another customer that agreed. However, my plan was to add feet and they've worked really well raising the height by about 15cm. I bought two to fill my living room. I love IKEA for selling the frame and covers separately, it allows style changes. Kind of sad that I paid £100 more per frame last year, but overall excellent value for money and would buy them again in a heartbeat. The cushions were dense at first and have settled into the lovely comfortable seats they should be.Wish the foam was sold separately too of course!... Show more

Buyer Beware. The seemingly “impressive” 10 yr warranty is not quite as impressive as it appears.
After 2 & 1/2 years the seating cushions have lost much of their firmness and now the sofa is very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time.Discussions with IKEA staff revealed that the cushions are not replaceable which renders the whole sofa useless after 2 or 3 years thereby making the 10 yr warranty completely nonsensical and in our view a misleading sales pitch.Unless we can obtain new tailor made cushions from somewhere else our 2 1/2 yr sofa will end up in land fill. Not great for the environment and completely at odds with a company that “supposedly” prides itself on its sustainability and environmental consciousness. It beggars believe that IKEA would sell a product that becomes non functional after 2-3 yrs because of a simple piece of foam.Avoid ... Extremely comfortable
The couch is extremly comfortable, great for watching tv or reading a book.Am 185cm tall and the seat and back is great but the back could be a little taller as it doesn't provide head support if you are looking for that. When trying to lay down the arm rest are low so whatever on the tea table might get in your sight line. But using a pillow help. The low arm rest makes it very nice for naps .Overall it's a very good sofa extremely comfortable good for naps while sitting but naps while laying down is a bit hard if you are tallLaying on it if you are... good at first but not long term
bought this sofa in February 2021. comfy at first but now after 3 years of normal daily use (single person household) the cushions are misshapen and don't hold up to being sat on daily. armrest cushion has moved from resting head on it so now the frame underneath is coming through which is extremely uncomfortable. as the sofa is out of warranty I can't ask Ikea to replace the armrest and 2 pillows (not even for money as they don't sell parts) so will have to replace the whole sofa instead.... Just bought and not enough
Just bought and not enough time to test the product to give you a good review. On top these are bought during the black Friday. Worth purchasing them in the meantime. The MLM bed likewise not tested for a year to know whether the firmness of bed last. However I would prefer the bedsheet looked smooth not seen with etch with lines, lines, lines from the mattress!!!We paid IKEA to help us to assembly/installation them.... Show more

Looks great but breaks too quickly!
We were in search of a spacious sofa and the Kivik seemed like the perfect choice. It looks great and the wide side arms are very useful. However, after only two years of use, the sofa began to make strange creaking sounds, and eventually the wood connecting the arm to the sofa broke. It's disappointing because it looks nice but it's not built with strong material, and it's shocking that a sofa could break so easily after only two years. We don’t have any children, and there are only two adults in the house, so I wouldn’t expect this from Ikea.... Show more

Lovely Sofa
Colour: Tibbleby beige/greyVery comfortable sofa, the seat cushions of the sofa are soft and very firm so they don't flat.Back cushions are also very soft while being firm and while they do lose shape in cover. The wideness of the arm rest is amazing, quite helpful for placing items like laptops, books and accessories. While being padded with cushion on top for softness. The sofa default legs are kinda short, so i replaced them with 10cm legs for extra height which helps in ergonomics of the sofa. The colour for "Tibbleby beige/grey" is bit inaccurate in the website as in real life its a bit more white grey which also looks really cool.... Total downgrade from the old Kivik. New Kivik sucks.
I had the old Kivik which unfortunately broke twice in 5 years and it has been replaced (for a second time) with the new Kivik, so I can say with some authority that the new Kivik sucks. There are some improvements, but goodness me is this thing hard. "Firm" doesn't even describe it. You would be more comfortable laying on the floor. This thing is HARD.Not only that, but I am fairly certain it is thinner too.For a $700 couch you'd expect something at least half decent but you are better spending your money on something else. One of the big improvements I will say is the armrests are a bit lower, so you can actually lie down on this thing if you are over 6ft.It also feels somehow "cheaper". Hard to describe but it just feels like it is lower quality.Hopefully it ...
