Everyday I regret buying this bed. I've only had it for a year and honestly I'm about to buy a different one. This bed terribly designed. For one, there is a lip on the perimeter so you have to pick your mattress up to make your bed, and my mattress is really heavy. The draws are terrible and break easily, my first one broke only a couple of months in. The headboard is not strong enough for you to leen on. And finally the slats have started to fall down CONSTANTLY. I'm currently sleeping on a lobsided bed. I looked up how to fix this on Reddit, turns out it's a really common issue but THERE ARE NO GOOD SOLUTIONS.

At no point when looking at the bed, reading about it, picking it up in store does it mention (unless i go into the 'whats included') does it mention that i need to purchace a seperate spine to make the bed...a bed. the instore computer says i need two parts - frame and slats - and and NOT THE SPINE. why isn't this in the box? why isn't it mentioned at pickup? Clearly you know this is needed, yet to seem to want to hide this fact. Either incompetence or malice. Very curt and unhelpful service when i had to drive back to the store to get it.Looking afterward online i see hundrends of similar complaints. Get your act together IKEA.

I had really poor experience with this frame. The beam will break from the wood frame and the luroy slats make a lot of noise. You would regret buying this frame. The worst part is it's not even covered by warranty. My frame broke when we were sleeping and the customer care told me it's not covered by warranty. I wish I payed more elsewhere to buy a bed with more quality wood. The wood is like plastic and will break on use after 2 to 3 yrs. Will never recommend my friends to buy this.
Looks great, a NÄVLINGE clip-on light works great with it. But the flimsy metal bars (part 117228) didn't work with the screws and kept falling out underneath, so I removed them entirely because I didn't see the purpose of them. The LURÖY base wouldn't fit easily because of the screws on the sides that didn't go in all the way, and also because of that, the metal sides (114290/114291) moved, and actually give way to a person's weight, and the bed base's slats actually popped back UNDER them. To fix this, I had to drill the holes deeper to get the screws in fully for the metal sides to stay in place, but in doing so, I drilled all the way through a couple holes on one side of it; luckily it was the side against the wall, but still, I shouldn't have needed to drill ... MoreLooks great, a NÄVLINGE clip-on light works great with it. So we were exited about this bed.The middle slatts are not even. Secured. And are just placed on metal beam, “which makes noice.I wish i never bought this bed and not wasted my fuel money, time, and effort, traveled. 31 miles..just pre drilled holes for the slats would be whole different story. overall a good bed, but it was delivered to me with a damage - 2 holes drilled (!!!) by someone on the front side of the headboard. Then a new replacement headboard was delivered again with dents and cracks on the rear edge of the headboard but on the backside and bottom, invisible if you look at it from the front, hence I gave up on the proposed next replacement by a brand new entire bedframe proposed by IKEA due to long waiting time for delivery and especially for assembly, since I need a bed to sleep in and some order in my bedroom after waiting for 1+ month for the replacements and assembly.
