This product was really nice at a reasonable price. Ikea has one of the best customer service so far, if only 2 beds would fit in our kids room then we wouldn’t have to return the other one. I hope there will be better illustration and instructions on the assembly part though.

To clear up a couple other reviews on here: they do come with the bed liners the bed sits on. The directions were not complicated at all and easy to understand. Cons: wish there were words to explain what to do next or label the parts. You have to figure out what piece from the picture, which can be a bit hard at times. Don't like the need for a 72 hour wait on the matresses (way too long). Pros: easy to assemble and love that it has storage for sheets, pillows, blankets, etc. The matresses were more comfortable than expected but wish we bought a thicker one (10 only for bottom bed).

We bought this for our 3 year old transitioning from toddler bed to big girl bed. We thought this would be perfect for us to lay next to her and read, and it really is. She also tends to get up to come to our room so sometimes we take her back and lay there until she settles back down. It's super sturdy, and it was pretty simple to put together, I recommend 2 people though one person could assemble the pull-out part & drawers. It's perfect for a smaller room since the 2nd bed can be rolled under the main one. It rolls really smoothly, and we have carpet. The drawers are super convenient to store pillow/thin comforter for the 2nd bed and books. My sons (8 years, 5 years) were previously sleeping in a bunk bed from IKEA. It lasted a while but it broke/bent in a few spots. It was also blocking our AC in the room so I needed something low. So I purchased this bed and I am completely satisfied! My oldest sleeps on the top and my youngest sleeps on the bottom pull out bed. I love how I can keep all their bedsheets in the drawers on the bottom. It’s a great space saver. My youngest thinks it’s pretty cool that he has a secret hidden bed.
Great bed. Nothing fancy just a solid bed that’s great when cousins and friends stay over. My daughter used the trundle as her first bed until we upgraded her and got a second one of these. Now both kids can have a spare bed for friends.
I would like the option to adhere a protection to the edges, my kids from time to time hit their shins on the edges. I am currently looking for a adhesive pad with a match color. I wouldve love if the bed had that option, just attach an optional protective edge
My Granddaughter ordered this (and asked for my credit card #...lol) So she and her sister could come to stay.It looked great but sadly hasn't be tried out yet :(I need a friend and a bottle of wine to assemble it correctly....
Bought this for our daughter and she loves it. It was extremely confusing to build and I had to Google a video and only found an installation video in Spanish (luckily you can figure it out pretty easily). Also, some parts came scratched, but after speaking with customer service, they'll be shipping a replacement for me at my home and taking away the old frame, saving me a trip to the store. It's a bit more expensive than I would've wanted to pay, but still worth it. A really big negative for me is the weight limit of 220lbs. Unfortunately, that means that my husband cannot lie in bed with my daughter for story time, as the combined weight would be too much. I wish there was a stirdier weight limit. I prefer single over double bed, but I want a space where my baby niece could sleep comfortably with me, so this is the answer. Bonus where I could keep four single comforter sets in the underbed drawers. I suggest for more colors option
Bought this 9 months ago for my son, who is only half the max weight load and we already used the recommended mattress but the side board gave way and metal brackets pulled the particles out of particle board causing slats to fall through and break the slats. The only thing that's stopping my son from falling completely through was the pull-out bed. It's now pretty much unusable for a growing boy.
