Ikea India is a total rip-off. I have friends living abroad (currently in India) who compared the quality of this table I recently purchased. It can't be worst than this. Even I feel like that's the cheapest quality table I have used. I'd suggest buying such things from a local furniture shop. The reason I'm saying this is that one of the table sheets fell (lightly) while assembling the coating came off. Didn't expect this from Ikea. 0 star for the quality.

The size is perfect if you are looking to save space like me. I had issues while setting it up and messed up the lower drawer board though. But the table is still perfectly sturdy and strong despite my erroneous damage.

This is a great value desk. Easy to assemble and very neat. Does what it's supposed to without any unnecessary frills. Space saving. Totally recommend it.

Do not waste any time.THIS DESK IS TRASH TO OUT TOGETHER. IT LITERALLY BROKE APART AS I WAS PUTTING IT TOGETHER. IM NOT EVEN WASTING MY TIME TO PUT IT IN THE CAR TO DRIVE IT BACK TO THE STORE FOR A REFUND.IM GOING TO PUT IT RIGHT IN THE TRASH JUST LIKE THE PIECE OF TRASH IT IS. Really good value for money and sturdy little desk - although i did have a question. I want to add a keyboard tray to it but i'd need to remove the little shelf. Is the shelf important for stability or can i remove it? Thanks so much :)
I was looking for a compact desk to use for working at home. This gave me just what I needed. The price was excellent and it’s sturdy, functional and looks good. The shelf also provides a handy place to store extra items as needed. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and blends well with my decor. It was also very easy to put together. I recommend it highly.
Putting this together, you could feel the product isn’t typical of the quality you could expect from ikea- granted it’s £25, but anything with a price should be worthy of a price in the first place, and this wasn’t.Screws for the metal parts at the back, didn’t go through, there wasn’t pre made holes for some of the screws, making it look rather tacky, luckily nobody will see it from behind, but nonetheless it’s not what I expect from your company. Next time I’ll shop around.
I've been looking for a small desk that would fit in a small area of my living room. I didn't need anything fancy. I found that most desk out there are at least 30" Wide but I only had about 27" of space. When I saw the Torald while in the Carson Ikea store. And the fact that it had an open drawer area, was the icing for me. Only hesitation I had was, it was only in white. So I waited and shopped around some more. Well, after weeks passed, the Torald still was the only feasible one that fit my needs. So, I got online and order it. Arrived and I assembled it. Easy peasy assembly. Feels solid. Works perfectly for my area. I even purchased the Kuggis Insert with 8 compartment tray. It was the perfect combo. I am loving my new desk. Thanks IKEA! :)
It fits where I need it and is a space saver of a laptop desk, made an unobtrusive workstation for work outside the bedroom. Material is particle board but is sturdy. Does sway a little if I push on sides, push on front minimal movement. I would recommend no crossing of legs due to lower height with the handy shelf beneath the desktop. Suggest no drinks be put on surface directly. Also since it is particle board I don't think it will stand up to someone sitting on it leaning on it or kicking it for long. Treat with moderate care and it should last a long time
Its construction looks simple, but it helps working with someone to steady the heavy planks. They use dowels so the screws can be tightened straight. It comes with 2 metal brackets to help the unit stay sturdy and sustain weight. The tabletop accommodates an 18" laptop and still have room in the front for comfortable typing, mouse, or to write and on one side for a legal size notepad. At $35, it is reasonably priced. The white color is nice and provides good leg room. It also has a built-in open drawer space, which can be used for a mouse or trackball or external drive. If you purchase the necessary rails, I think it can become a sliding drawer for a keyboard for instance. The whole desk does not take up a lot of space.
