There aren’t a lot of pod products that are this rich, strong, and gorgeous enough to pull into a clear espresso cup, but illy iperEspresso pods are. I enjoy both the Classico and Intenso- Dark Roast pods. Intenso has a gorgeous crema and a deep, intense flavor. I love it as the base for my shaken iced coffee drinks especially, because it froths up wildly and keeps the coffee from being overpowered or drowned-out by the addition of milk or syrup or malt. Illy intenso capsules - fab fab coffee. Packs a punch without being too strong. Would match the best barista out there, and in the comfort of home to boot.Also love the cylindrical tins they come in.Delivery was a bit slow but just requires submitting your order before supply runs out!!Which is why I’m just about to place my second order now!!

A miracle of engineering!!

How is it that the same machine can produce two such different coffees based soley on the pod?? The machine doesn't know what pod you just put into it, so the difference in preparation must come from the engineering of the pod itself, and not the machine. But I can tell you that if you run a ton of water through a single Lungo capsule, you get a delicious cup of coffee.Note that I drink espresso shots far more often than coffee, but I still enjoy the long preparation coffee when done well. At home I use a french press. I think these Lungo capsules come out better than my french press method at home.

Disppointing

Someone gave us a gift of Illy capsules, but we didn't have an Illy machine. So to while away the lockdown, I bought a Y3.2 machine and different types of capsules. The Illy capsules I use with a Nespresso original machine are the best coffee outside of a specialty store we have had, so I was optimistic. The unanimous verdict: very disappointing. The machine took a while to break in, it fizzled and leaked for a while but then stopped fizzling and worked OK. It seems less well built than the Nespresso original machine. The Illy expresso original capsules were undrinkable (burnt and bitter), the Columbiana a little better, and the Lungo reasonably good - in quality somewhere between Keurig and Nespresso. I discover this capsule in the variety pack. In term of flavor and amount of coffee, this fills the gap between the illy coffee pod and iperEspresso capsules. I wanted an "Americano" style of coffee, which the illy coffee pod is too light and the iperEspresso Capsules is too dark. Before Lungo capsules, I used the Dark Roast iperEspresso capsules and pushed the Espresso Brew button 3-4 times or the Coffee Brew button 2 times to get the flavor and amount of coffee I wanted (Both methods Not Recommended by illy).This Lungo iperEspresso capsule is perfect for me personally. 1 press of the Espresso button will produce a mild double espresso. 1 press of the Coffee button will produce about a 5 oz. cup of "Americano" style coffee. Love the dark roast. Wouldn't drink anything else

Consistent quality each order. Wish that Illy would offer free recycling like they used to do 13 years ago. Illy would provide a postage paid envelope and you would dump the used capsules inside and return. I asked about that on a call and they started charging. Not paying for that since I can put them in my recycle can at home. Illy should change their policy. It would save them money and consumers money in the long run.

Love the taste, not the waste.

These capsules produce ideal shots of espresso. I run them twice to get a great cup of regular coffee out of them. I just wish they didn't generate so much plastic waste. The coffee is delish, and I'm a diehard Illy fan so I bought reusable stainless capsules, and now grind my Illy fresh. But these are super convenient and produce a consistently delicious coffee. I enjoyed every one in this can.

Thanks for not taping the lids on

This is my favorite coffee. In the past, Target shipping has taped the lids on. This creates a sticky mess. This time, they did not. That made me happy as I re-use these cans, painting them. It is a lot less work to re-use if I don’t have to remove a bunch of adhesive residue.

Very good but not great

Very good but not great. I do like it it is flavorful and nice, but still does not pack the punch I would like. What I am most upset about is that it is always sold out, I could not get the tins I had to order 100 single pieces. I don’t like opening them I don’t like the trash and I don’t like the big box. I did this just so I could get the Intenso which is supposed to be strong and bold… And in that sense it’s like I say nice but only so-so. Overall my experience with Illy has been good enough that I KEEP DRINKING IT ALL THE TIME so I ordered the decaf. This time I REALLY THOUGHT it was coming in the tin. And it came in a box in singleserve foils!!! I was pretty disappointed, and sadly I was very disappointed with the Decaf blend, The flavor was not even espresso ... MoreVery good but not great. iperEspresso Capsules Intenso awezsome

found my old X1 machine and although I had to replace a couple switches, It brewed perfectly. just wish i had illy to repair it as it is brand new and bought at the illty store in San Fran. they would not fix it or warrenty repair it without a receipt and i bought it a year ago when visiting kids. Never used. Coffee is great but service leaves a bit to be desired
