We received this play mat as a gift. We thought it was really cute and set it up. Since it's a floor play mat, my mom accidentally knocked into it while holding the baby and it bumped into the couch and COMPLETELY broke. It wasn't even a hard knock and the top plastic piece holding it together snapped a piece off and now it can't be fixed. In some ways I'm happy we learned it's not durable --but once again, it wasn't knocked hard, it was just a misstep and bump into the couch. Our baby is only 3 months and has started to learn how to pull, I would have been extremely upset if he pulled a toy on this and it fell apart on his head.

I received this recently for my baby shower. The play gym was shipped to my house and gift wrapped directly from Bed Bath & Beyond. Upon opening just now, it is clear that this item was already used, resealed, returned and resold. Nothing was wrapped in plastic, all zipties were cut, all cardboard was ripped, etc.I was thinking I could wash everything before having my baby use it… nope. Aside from the washable base, everything else cannot be washed or sterilized, maybe sprayed with a disinfectant or Febreeze. Super gross that BB&B would resell a baby item. I too will be returning. Aside from this, the gym is super cute, easy to assemble without looking at the instructions and looks to be a good time for baby.

It looks cute but don't let the looks deceive you. We were SO excited about this activity center but the reviews are right. The pad doesn't wash well and shows every single dribble (and babies dribble!). Even worse, after only a couple uses, the bracket? Hinge? Holding the wooden slats together started falling apart EVERY time we would open or close the dome area. This could collapse on a baby or pose a choking hazard as the tiny screw can just fall out onto the mat. Fortunately we are vigilant and have caught it every time but we won't be taking any more chances. This will be going in the trash.

We received this play mat as a gift. We thought it was really cute and set it up. I love that it's so much softer and more simpler than my previous one I used for both of my boys. In addition, it was very easy to set it up or put away when not needed. The quilted mat is reversible, so if your or your baby gets bored with one design, switch it to the other to give it a different scenery! Either way it's super soft and gentle enough for the baby to lay on and have fun playing with toys or interacting with older siblings as they giggle their little tushie off. Makes it a great gift for a 1st time mom or a 5th time mom! The boxes that it arrives in, makes it easy to gift wrap as a gift and no matter how far along the mom is it's very easy to take it out, carry and set up. I highly recommend this product! I honestly wish I had this before with my previous 2 boys, as i found our old activity mat to be too overwhelming with way too many visuals and colors. Versus this one allows the baby to relax and really focus on the 4 toys and 1 mirror that it comes with. The mat, also has 2 handles to hold onto while carrying or moving it to another room while holding your munchkin; which is a big deal for me, knowing I will already have my hands full.
I was really excited that the pad removed and the cover was washable since spit up and diaper leaks can maybe floor time messy. The pad cover says it is a washable but when you wash it the stuffing gets all clumped and bumpy making it hard/unsafe for floor time. I spot cleaned and it wasn’t enough so I washed it per the directions on the tag and it never lay flat after that. I can’t even use the wooden hang parts bc you need the pad to stabilize the wooden overhang. Very cute design and would have been great if it weren’t for the insane clumps of stuffing. I added a pic with toys to see the bumps.
Very simple and ‘calm’ activity gym which was why we purchase it. On reflection this product was fine for when baby was little but as they’ve grown it hasn’t been engaging enough. The toys are well made but it can be challenging to attach using the felt tabs but that also means baby won’t be able to pull them out easily. The mat has a thin layer of padding which makes it soft to use on hard floors however upon washing, the quilt lining bunched up despite hand washing and laying flat to dry. On closer inspection the lining wasn’t tacked properly to the quilt, not sure if that is intentional, either way, I’ve had to attach it so we could wash when needed. I'm in love with this mat. I don't attach the wood frame and it's so nice to be able to rotate, make the arms closer or further apart. My baby has needed PT to catch up on some milestones after having heart surgery after birth. This helps support so well! We can focus toys to the side or midline easily. To the reviewers that had issues with washing it made me LOL. There's a removable disc inside that helps it keep shape ... You pull that out and just wash the cover. I have washed the insert too, I just take it out and hang it separately to dry then put it back inside. Easy!
I was so excited to open this for my baby girl after receiving it as a registry gift but upon opening I noticed the edges of the wood had some chips so I exchanged it for a new one because I didn’t want it to cause a splinter when my daughter got a little older and started reaching for the toys. We assembled the new one and were excited to finally use it but I ran my fingers across the edges to make sure it was smooth and it ended up poking me with a chipped piece of wood. It has a nice comfy play mat with cute toys but the wood is a big no no! My suggestion is that they put some type of clear coat to make the wood safer instead it just being a plain piece of wood that can chip easily and make it dangerous for infants. I brought this because the color is beautiful for my little girl. I will say that’s the only good thing about it. It’s boring, no music. The duvet is thinner than pictured. I actually put a comforter under it so my baby isn’t just on a thin material. The toys are cute. I can see how others say the wood chips and can cause splinters. This makes me nervous for when she begins getting active . I’m buying another brand for my little one.
