It's early days with this device and I need to get to know it. My first use was on a whole chicken on a kamado grill. The probe indicated a cooked chicken at 165 degrees after only 15 mins. Obviously this was wrong and I somehow must have misplaced the probe. There is an annoyingly loud alarm goes off if the wireless connection is lost and this happened too often for my liking.

This is a great thermometer for the money. 4 probes means you can monitor grill heat in multiple areas aswell as food temps at the same time which are displayed on the monitor and also sent to your phone. Thermometers really are the key to bbq. If you want tender juicy meat instead of dry burnt meat at your next garden party/family bbq make this small investment, you won't regret it and your guests will thank you for it. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 as you can't save or export the graphs it creates which is handy for longer smokes etc but thats just a small gripe.

I used this theometer for the first time tonight and wow, it performed beyond my expectations.. it worked flawlessly and linked with the app without issue. Able to set temperature and cooking time. Sat back, had a beer and waited for the temperature to rise to the set temperature and then took the whole rib fillet out and sliced into steaks for searing. Cooked perfectly. Can't recommend it enough.

Accurate and the wireless works from a decent distance. Can set alarms for specific temperatures and has guides for meat temperatures. Recommend to anybody that likes meat cooked perfectly.

The app however is average, it works, but is very limited which is a shame because it makes a perfect budget option a little disappointing at times. It works well for on the fly monitoring, and alerts work well and are easy to setup, but there’s no real record of what’s happened with your cook as it only shows you a graph for about 15 minutes. It just means that if you’re cooking something longer like a brisket or short ribs, you have no real idea of how the temperature has climbed through your cook other than when you check it yourself. Very easy to use app and works really well. Would be nice to have an estimated cooked time but that’s a bit pick and considering the price not the end of the world. Battery life is incredible and the 4 probes gives you limitless opportunities. Highly recommend.
Works very well, only thing I could fault is that it could have better range with the Bluetooth connection. If you walk inside to get your next 3 beers it beeps at you until you rush back out side to find the meat is perfectly fine and you could’ve spent more time proving to the Mrs that cooking is easy.
I have used this unit in my smoker almost every weekend for about 4 months and have noticed an improvement in the quality of my BBQ - when it works, it works well, that can't be disputed. However I think my unit slipped through the QA process as one probe no longer reads temperature (regardless of which probe port it has been inserted into) and any slight movement to the unit base or probe wires causes the remaining three probes to drop out and alarm. The probes have never been immersed in water (wiped down to clean) and the base unit has not been dropped or mishandled.
I bought this a while ago 1 prob stopped working and today my pastrami was over cooked due to another prob giving a false reading.It stopped at 185 degrees. Put another new prob in and the reading was 208 degrees . Do not buy this item
Works really well, all probes fit through the probe slot on the Weber Smokey Mountain. The associated app is good and the developers respond quickly to questions. I would recommend this thermometer.
