I have thick coarse 3B curls and have tried so many different curl products, both curly girl method approved and not approved, both high end and more affordable. This is one of the best products I have tried; it is very similar to uncle Funky's daughter curly magic curl simulator, but it smells much better. I love that this is a conscious brand and I have tried many of their styling products and have loved many of their products. After I wash my hair, I do about six large sections, comb the product through my hair (either with or without a leave in conditioner), and either let it air dry undisturbed or diffuse on low heat. This is good if you’re wanting a simple curl day! If you need more defined curls, I’d recommend using it alongside I create hold. I will say I’ve noticed my hair showing its curl a little bit more after each time I use it. Use this with their other products though- or other high quality shampoos/conditioners because your hair won’t hold the product if you use stuff that creates buildup on your hair. Nonetheless, after I switched to all innersense, I have noticed a huge difference in my hair! It doesn’t take much product to wash/style, and my hair lasts for 5 days without tangling. (Use a sleep bonnet!) Finally, if you want to learn more about your curl hair and how to use innersense to get the best out of it, Voss the Curl Boss on IG is a great resource!

I purchased this gel from Salon Chrysalis in Toronto. I loved the I Create Hold gel and was super excited to try the I Create Memory and was not pleased at all. Firstly, while applying the product I started to notice the my curls were starting to separate from the clumps so naturally I applied more to hold it and potentially avoid frizzing. After it dried it was super hard and the cast would not break! Now I know some people love a good cast but this had my hair feeling crunchy and I was concerned it would break my hair. The next thing I was not thrilled with was the flaking! The slightest shake of my hair and there was a white residue everywhere which I found odd given I hadn’t used any other products with it in my wash & go!
