Innisfail Tri-Layer 3/4 Length Rain Jacket Navy / 2XS

I have these jackets already and this purchase is a gift for a friend who is on a farmThey are great, lightweight ,and rain proof .Hence I bought for a friend due to reliability

This jacket is warm, well made and a flattering style in particular on a large fame. I am short in stature and the sleeves secure perfectly at the wrist, using Velcro to accommodate various size requirements. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it in the rain but from it’s appearance (covered internal seams etc.) I certainly believe it will be effective.

Good fit, and its waterproof so far. Only negative is that the zip is always hard to get started, seems a little cheap compared to the rest of the jacket.

Great value, a little thinner cloth than my heavier wilderness Equipment jackets, but lighter weight.

Such a well designed and made rain jacket that will actually do it's job. Everything I could think of that I'd need in it, was there. Thankyou XTM!

Love this jacket. It fits the specifications exactly for what i wanted - mid- thigh length, double ended front zip, not too heavy, 15k waterproof, windproof, zippered vents under the arms, storm front and soft lining. At 700g it was a bit heavier than I wanted but I'm happy to sacrifice weight for functionality.

Feels good to wear & well made

Today I received this XTM Performance Innisfail Tri−Layer 3/4 Length Rain Jacket and decided to write a review. Why? Because I rarely use a raincoat, its the dry season now in the Dry Tropics, and I am not sure when I will use this in the rain. However, what to say? It feels very comfortable to wear & well made. The neck & hood feel natural & comfortable & the sleeves have a good extra length for me which can be secured to the wrists with the velcro labs. The length is excellent, covering 2./3 of the thigh above the knee. However, the front of the neck flap under the chin is very stiff & easily strikes/rubs against the chin if lowering the head or running. Possible this could be less stiff however I don't know about norms of raincoat construction. I am 178cm tall with naturally broad shoulders & a bit of a middle-aged belly. I used the XTM Size Guide and chose a 2XL size (for online purchase). This fits very well. The size cannot be smaller because this would pinch in the armpits. I guess, as a unisex design, the shoulders would be more neutral than broader. There is one external chest zip pocket, no internal pockets and two open pockets near the waist. These two pockets have a quite narrow flap, around 15mm wide, covering over the opening to prevent water entering however it seems these flaps could have been longer or zipped or clipped or with velcro. In other words, I cannot imagine storing anything, such as a mobile phone, in these two lower pockets and guarantee the stored items to be free from water. The zipper had a tendency to catch the internal flap material when used because there are two narrow internal flaps in the inside side of the zipper. After a while, with difficulty, the catch resolved therefore the zipper needs to be used very gently & carefully. Its 24 degrees celsius as I write this review, walk around & have a light jog, for around 1 hour. The rain jacket worn for this 1 hour is warm but, at least for this activity, not at all hot. While it needs to be tested on a more humid day, it is not overtly hot for a 24 degree day. I am happy with this purchase. The discounted price & delivery were good. I actually did a lot of research for rain jackets and this seems to be good value, particularly for what for me is a non-essential item. I am not sure why I bought it but we had an unseasonal rainy day and my old rain jacket had become totally non-waterproof. Thank you. Hopefully I can update this review when it rains, whenever that occurs.

Useful coat

With an upcoming trip to Albury . I wanted a good coat to repel possible rain. I have tried it out here in Sydney high winds and at night -very pleased with trsult
