It's compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around when you need to, but also sturdy enough to feel safe and secure while riding. One of the best things about the INOKIM LIGHT2 is its range. The battery life is exceptional, allowing you to travel up to 20 miles on a single charge. This means you can take longer trips without worrying about running out of battery power. Another great feature of the INOKIM LIGHT2 is the speed. I want to give the scooter more of a chance next year, but like many other INOKIM reviews I have an issue with my throttle. With no advanced amount of force, the throttle sticks in place. Essentially forced, unexplained cruise control at times. This is super sketch, jenky, unsafe, and assuming the issue is known from your end and wasn't fixed already - super super dumb. I wouldn't want to offer a friend to ride this, and have to explain "oh yeah, the throttle sticks automatically - you'll just have to be aware and deal with it"This seems like an oversight, or a conscious decision to not address faulty parts, that will get people hurt potentially

Coming from the Unagi, my experience with the Inokim Light 2 has been an exercise in compromise. The Inokim is not the most portable or easily folded system. The motor is quite noisy at top speed and struggles on uphills, certainly compared to the twin motor Unagi. however, it's running on large, pneumatic and foam tires which makes all the difference to the ride quality. Which for me, is number one. So it's not the slickest when it comes to smooth acceleration, braking and hill climbing, but does them all fine for me on a much more comfortable platform.

Nice looking scooter, all parts are replaceable, but there is a fatal flaw. The updated 2022 version changed rear wheel to never flat tire, but they still have the front wheel prone to flat. I used it lightly for less than 2 weeks on nice, even paved roads for short distance. Unfortunately it already got a flat on the front wheel. When it works, it does the job fine, but no one can take a flat less than 2 weeks, I can already see this becoming a regular issue. There is no suspension what so ever, so they have to keep the front wheel air tubed so as to absorb shocks, but that will make it unusable for daily commute. Great design with fatal flaw. They give me the option to return it to their shop in Brooklyn since that is close to me, which save me the time to package it and mail it. Any buyer needs to understand this scooter is not suitable for daily commute unless the roads are in perfect conditons!
Needed a scooter to keep up with my girlfriends Alpha Hover-1. Didn't want to spend too much but wanted to get a decently priced well built scooter under $1k that was easy to transport. Fluidfreeride had many options avaliable. Finally decided on the Inokim Light 2 for its features and build quality in a lightweight package. Rode the scooter around Portland, OR over the weekend. Handled great for having a solid rear tire, has decent sized deck for balancing, dual drum brakes for longevity, and just a great overall clean look to it. After 2 hours of driving I'd only lost 1 bar of battery. Did have an issue with the locking pin for the folding mechanism coming lose, but was corrected with a little locktite. We ordered 3 Inokim Light 2’s for the family from Fluid Free Ride (White/Black/Blue). They had to ship from FedEx all the way from FFR’s ship location in TN to our home in Vegas.Since I’m a bigger guy (6’2”/195lbs), I originally ordered two Lights and a Quick for me, and while the Lights arrived with no issues, the Quick arrived damaged from FedEx (shaky handlebars where they connect at the bottom) and had to be reshipped.I was able to briefly try the Quick before I returned it but ultimately decided I was happier with the Light and just got a 3rd Light. In a streak of bad luck, the replacement Light got lost by FedEx and after two weeks of being stuck in the FedEx system, arrived damaged yet again. The reason I’m bringing this up is that Adam from FFR was ... MoreWe ordered 3 Inokim Light 2’s for the family from Fluid Free Ride (White/Black/Blue). In a streak of bad luck, the replacement Light got lost by FedEx and after two weeks of being stuck in the FedEx system, arrived damaged yet again. The reason I’m bringing this up is that Adam from FFR was unbelievably understanding throughout and did EVERYTHING he could to make things right for us. Not once did we get any hassle from the merchant about this. They were extremely diligent to make sure they cross-shipped out replacements for us in an expedient manner, were extremely polite and always quick to respond to us and as I write this now, all three Lights have (finally) arrived safely.None of this was their fault in ANY way but they certainly could have been difficult or evasive. This was a very large purchase for us, and we were more than a bit nervous about how this would be handled. Certainly, we had a few other choices online about where to get our scooters from, but I need to make sure you all know that you should have complete confidence that using FFR will be a great experience and their dedication to service is unmatched. I really commend their efforts to help their customers and look forward to referring others to them as the opportunity arises. As for the Light 2s, we have had the opportunity to ride all over (and up and down significant hills) to see how the scooters respond. My weight hasn’t been an issue in terms of riding on flat or lightly angled ground. The scooters are extremely adept at providing good acceleration and make a cool modern sounding pleasant hum when riding. We really love them! When going up significant hills, as long as I attack the slope with some level of speed, my riding speed will drop to roughly 5-6mph until I get through the majority of the heavy slope, but I haven’t stopped dead except for the one time I stopped myself mid-slope and then tried to restart. Thus, you shouldn’t have any issues with hills as long as you don’t hit them from a dead stop. One final note about this, in the short time I had the Quick, I had the ability to test on these same hills and they carved through them like butter so if that’s important to you, vs the size/weight benefit of the Light, then you might want that model instead but it’s a no big deal thing for me.Our Light’s range has tended to be about 16-18 miles thus far which is more than we expected and the Light rides extremely stable. Aesthetically, the Light is really well made and is beautiful to look at. All wires are tucked in nicely and it feels extremely stable. We get a lot of compliments and questions from people we meet on them. The Blue color seems to get the most comments, but we love the contrast of all three that we purchased. One quick note...I know that the FFR website warns tall people about purchasing the Light and points them to the Quick (or higher end models). Having stood on both the Quick and a Light, I find no difference in comfort between the Light or Quick platform and both sets of handlebars are extremely comfortable for my reach. The Quick platform is a couple inches wider but the Light platform is wide enough and not uncomfortable in any way. It’s also worth noting that while the Quick handlebars are roughly 4-5” higher than the Light, the Light’s deck height is significantly lower than the Quick so when you standing on either, there was no net difference to me as to one being any taller than the other as the overall height difference is negated by their different deck heights. Again, no issue for me and I was thrilled to have the Light’s smaller footprint and lesser weight tradeoff. If you really want a taller set of handlebars, you probably want to forget about BOTH the Light and the Quick and move onto the Ox/OxO. (Just my opinion but don’t decide between the two based on thinking one might be more comfortable for your arms than the other).Hope that helps you all - since the wheels are Pneumatic, highly recommend getting the Armor Dillaz to fill the wheels against a tube flat. It was easy to apply and we feel protected now.Again, heartfelt thanks to for FFR for our wonderful new additions! We couldn’t be happier and look forward to taking them with for a trip to CA beach paths one day.
This scooter looks sweet on the screen, the specifications looked great, lightweight, good ride quality and powerful fast, but upon receiving it, there were a few design flaws. First is the folding release lever, it's so stiff that I have to put the entire weight of my body on it to make it move and still it barely releases. My wife can't do it. Second is the stem, the diamond shape makes it hard to carry, and the side to side movement because it doesn't lock while folded makes it hard to handle carrying on the train and awkward weight distribution, it's not stable while carrying it if it will fit in your hands at all because of the diamond shape. You can't roll it on one tire while walking through the isle, it falls to one side. I ordered the Inokim Light 2 after what was probably 60+ hours of research looking at all types of scooters. It was super helpful to talk to the Fluid Free Ride team to help narrow down my choices, test ride scooters (really important in my opinion) and get other tips in general as a first time scooter owner.I ended up going with the Inokim Light 2 due to its portability, light weight, high top speed for its class, and beautiful design. It arrived a couple days earlier than projected, and the scooter is a beauty to behold that stands out from the rest. The only tips I'd give to new Inokim Light 2 owners is to understand the "push stem forward to unlock while pushing down the lever" mechanism for the stem, which is in the manual but isn't super clear. And also to lubricate the handle bar threading with graphite or another lubricant, as riding can tighten the joints where it becomes quite hard to unloosen.I'm a bit on the lighter side (~130 lbs), and I'm happy to report that I've been getting 25 miles on a single charge. I ride around NYC, and that is plenty enough to go to all the places that I want to go. I typically keep the speed to about 17-18mph on longer commutes, only using the 21mpg top speed for open straightaways (getting doored in NYC by cars is a real thing and 17mpg is plenty fast for most of NYC). The lack of suspension hasn't really been an issue for me outside of the occasional cobblestone streets that are around NYC.All around, really happy with my purchase and glad that I purchased from Fluid Free Ride.. the team is really helpful and amazing. Shout out to Chuck for being the man.
Scooter is very good looking, ride is very smooth especially for not having any suspension. The low deck is pretty awsome. The dual front brakes are excellent. It struggles up some steep hills. I have to kick it up some hills even. Also it doesn’t fold as compact as I would like, it won’t fit under train or bus seats unless I lay it down on its side.My biggest complaint is that the build quality of this scooter is poor.-The spring pins that hold the handlebar stem to the steering stem have backed out on their own, I’ve had to bend them so they won’t back out.-The folding mechanism is not smooth. It binds and becomes very difficult to unfold.-Lots of squeaking and creaks out the front, I worry that the front bushing will begin cracking at some point-The front ... MoreScooter is very good looking, ride is very smooth especially for not having any suspension. It binds and becomes very difficult to unfold.-Lots of squeaking and creaks out the front, I worry that the front bushing will begin cracking at some point-The front brake sometimes doesn’t fully release, leading to the front wheel dragging a bit. Because of this, I can’t adjust the front brake to be as tight as I’d like, or else the front brakes will always be slightly engaged.-I had the controller freak out and not work for a couple of minutes.-Brake cables are cut too long.-Back fender is super wobbly and the light wire runs underneath it, so it will be a matter of time when that wire gets worn through.-The riv-nuts holding in the kickstand have become very loose.Overall I do like the scooter. It looks great, ride is nice, it’s light, the dual drums is nice, and the speed is good. The low deck is great and not as much of a problem bottoming out as other reviewers have said,. However, for the price, I wish the quality was better.Knowing what I know now, I’d still probably go with this scooter just because the looks, the ride, light weight and low deck are so good.
