I can't begin to say how disappointed I am with this product. I was really excited that I found a replacement stopper for my InSinkErator disposer as the gasket of the original had worn out. This stopper is too small for the drain opening by a couple millimeters. If only the gasket had been just a little wider, but it's not. The water drains easily around it.

I bought this to replace a 20+ year-old one that had stopped working because of splits in the rubber gasket. I liked the old one so much, that when we moved house, I took it with me. My current disposal is a KitchenAid, and this stopper fits well into the drain. Now I use my Danco Disposal Genie to stop measuring spoons, etc. from going down the drain and this stopper for when I need to fill the sink up with water. I hate the stopper that came with the disposal - it collects food particles and is disgusting to clean. As far as I can tell, it keeps water from draining for as long as I need it to. Make sure it is well-seated into the drain, though.

It's differently shaped from the aging one that came with our Evolution Pro 1100XL. The rubber on the outside is not the same shape. The handle is differently shaped. The metal is thinner.I cannot understand why they only sell poor quality replacement parts. I bought a stainless steel Evolution. I'm not a landlord swapping out a cheap rusting Badger with each tenant. I expect to be able to buy replacement parts for the life of the unit, which in the case of the Evolution Pro 1100XL should be well past 20 years. That this stopper is the only available replacement part is unacceptable.

I bought the 'Brushed Stainless' version of this stopper. My sink is 'brushed stainless', my faucet is 'brushed stainless', my soap dispenser, etc. Everything in my kitchen. All of these items have a nice, somewhat matte stainless finish.1.) This stopper looks like you can actually see 'brush marks' in the steel. Very weird and kind of cheap-looking compared to everything else in my kitchen.2.) Otherwise, I would say the quality is pretty good - feels solid.3.) However, why not make this thing look a little nicer? You sell these really nice, premium disposers - but they're under the sink where no one sees them. Why not spend a little more time making a really nice, excellent quality stopper?4.) Our garbage disposal came with the standard thick plastic stopper. For whatever reason, the standard stopper did not stop well. InSinkErator sells this stopper at a reasonable price so we decided to buy one. It works. It works much better than the standard stopper. The stainless steel stopper gives a solid seal, effectively stopping any water from getting into the drain. The stainless steel top also looks a bit nicer than the standard unit.Overall, this is a good buy for someone needing a new garage disposal drain stopper or someone who wants the aesthetics of a stainless stopper.
Purchased two Evolution Excel disposals and the flanges and stoppers are a cheap quality and a shiny finish that does not match brushed stainless steel sinks. Very disappointed. Even the finish for the brushed stainless steel flange and stopper that can be purchases separately on the website are shown in two different finishes. I called to ask which finish was the correct representation of the brushed stainless steel and no one could give me an answer. Poor, poor customer service. Not worth the price.
The sink stopper I hade before this was one that slid over the top of the drain; it was constantly moving around and letting the water out. I'm really happy with this one - it fits within the drain. The only problem with it is that the suction in the drain is so strong, I can't pull it out with just my fingers. So I keep a pair of pliers next to the sink. A chain could have helped here.
This drain cover is as durable as it looks. I was not sure that it would be of stainless steel quality, but it in fact is mad of a strong stainless steel (aka weighty) metal to which the rubber seal is attached. The drain cover seals the large disposal opening MUCH more reliably that the hard plastic drain caps that come as standard accessories. This was a great find for the sink drain seal problem. I constantly had to re-seat the drain cover to secure the seal until I was able to make this purchase. Great product in its own right! An immediate kitchen standard for disposal drains.
This is a quality product, it fits my sink and seals very well. BUT......because it sits on TOP of the drain ratherthan inset, the knob protrudes from the sink bowl approximately 1 inch. Therefor.....when you are washing dishes, a plate, bowl, or coffee cup will push itself against the stopper and cause all the dishwater to drain away....ARRRRGGGGG. I will continue to look for stopper the fits INSIDE! In the meantime...this works well. The product is fine but it is not a design I prefer,
This review is for the stainless steel stopper with the rubber gasket. I have had no problem with the water leaking down the drain when the stopper is in. As others have noted you have to push it down, but that’s not a problem. I just push it down until it sits on the rim that is about an inch down into the drain opening. It also is more durable and looks better than the rubber stopper that it replaced.The reason that I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that on the few occasions when it has fallen into the drain opening upside down, I have to pry it out of the drain with a fork. There is nothing to hold onto on the bottom of the stopper that would allow you to pull it out of the drain with your fingers. This is a minor annoyance, however.
