The cam is nice for what it is and has plenty of features. But it is a huge hassle, has a lot of problems and the user experience with the app and studio is horrible. You are supposed to buy the diving case, a simple piece of plastic for a hefty price. Also what if I want to switch between water and land, ex. jumping into water? It's not gonna work well. - Camera crashed when doing the last firmware update, scary moment

Good: Can take very creative shots, good phone app, virtual 3rd person view with help from invisible selfie stick. Bad: Lack good accessories to protect lens, the current sticky lens protector on offer affects video quality and stitching. Phone app may be good but editing on pc would be preferred for easier view & precision. The PC software is just a thin skeleton of what the phone app does, and it's almost unusable if one doesn't have a good graphics card.

Great camera that is now even better. The larger screen is such a bonus making it so much more enjoyable to use. The app is faster too, again reducing the processing pain. Replaceable hard wearing lenses would be so welcome. The weight increase over the X2 is OK except when using the 3m selfie stick which gets a bit harder to hold it straight for a longer period plus the deflecting increases euch makes it selfie stick become visible when having the camera flat rather than on its edge.

I bought this as my first personal 360 camera and I'm really impressed with the results.I have been a property photographer for 2 years and used the X3 to create a virtual tour of a small apartment and was very pleased with the final product.The Timelapse features will be a go to for me as the reframing in post is a fantastic feature.Definitely recommend.
I love the new X3. It is a significant upgrade from the X2. I have tested the video quality and it is definitely an improvement. The new big display is a great feature. The interface is much easier to navigate. I would like to see the ability to export reframed 360 video at 4k instead of HD. I would also like to see a higher 360 resolution, but I am guessing we are bumping into the limits of technology for the price. Keep up the good work.
Great camera for content producers. Gives practically unlimited options for shooting. Image quality in good light is good, equal to most devices with small sensors. In low light conditions is OK if you want to use the image on a small screen. For large-screen production, you need a different solution. Stitching is visible so you need to carefully study tutorials to learn to avoid it. I had GoPro Max 360 before. Compared to this, Insta360 seems to produce a little less crisp image and stitching is more visible in some situations. The physical design is superb. Overall - highly recommended!
I have upgraded from the fist Insta360 camera and I am so happy I did. The latter served me tremendously well for 4 years. I upgraded for the new functionalities and the amazing easy-to-use touch screen. I took one star out because the app is still cumbersome with too many promos and how-to’s. Less is more. I would recommend 1 app for the camera’s functionalities and a separate app for the how-to’s and promos.
This camera pretty much fits my ideal perception of a pocket 360 camera. The HDR recording is very clean. There is very little noise in the image. I find it useful for reframing footage and recording YouTube shorts we are vertical framing is used. I would like to see a higher resolution especially when using it for a reframing video. However, it is acceptable for the price. One thing that is a little bit of a detractor is you cannot scan around the sphere of video with your finger like you could do on the X2. Instead, the camera gives you a preview of either the front or rear lens in a wide view depending upon which lens you select. I find myself doing a quick test record especially if I have the mic adapter on. I’m hoping this can be changed with a software update. The screen is not huge but it is a perfect size for what needs to happen to operate the camera. The quick button on the side also makes changing modes very simple for video shoot modes you commonly use. I would buy this camera again. It is a perfect sized camera to explore filming interesting locations in 360 without having the hassle of a larger camera that is more time to set up and attracts more attention.
Shipping was quick and the items were very well packaged. The device feels very high quality and worth what you are paying. There are an overwhelming amount of features packed in the tiny thing but the setup and layout is easy to understand. The app is very intuitive and makes it's much easier for anyone that is new or not very good with photography and editing. This is definitely this pick up and "go cam" I was looking for and it's capable of some incredible shots. Very excited to get aquatinted to using it and learning how to use it to it's full potential.
I definitely like the x3 and I recommend it. It has so many incredible features to go with. However, one thing I am not sure is about the video quality. I don't know if it is my x3 Or what but even in 360 5.7k at 30fps after exporting to the maximum quality I feel like the picture has some noise. At least comparing to the promotional videos from YouTube and insta' own website. But battery wise, quality wise I like it.
