Our large living area is too big for our wall mounted air conditioner to cope on hot days. As the area we wanted to cool had no outside walls or windows this Instachill is ideal for us. Also, at the end of the summer it can be stored away. We thought it was so good that we bought another!

This product is not recomended for Queensland due to Humidity. Ypu may not be informed of this. May work well in Vic, however if you want a fan that does not cool here in queensland this is the product. We Ended up returning product and spending a bit more and purchasing a portable aircon which works fantatisic

Its just an expensive fan. I ran it all day and night for two days and it just made one small room hot and sticky. The air felt thick and warm and moisT. I noticed with my machine that the carpet infront of it was getting saturated so obviously water was dispersing out through the fan. My item was faulty and returns two days later. Trust the reviews this item doesnt cool your room let alone 15/20 square metres. If you look at the pictures on the box and adverts on the tv the people are standing in front of the fan. The area around does not cool but if your standing/sitting directly infront of the fan then yes it does cool you down and feel nice but it does not cool your room. I may have well thrown my hard earnt cash in the bin, it's useless. We do night shifts and was hoping this may have taken the edge off the temperature in the bedroom. took it down by .5 of a degree. Would have been better having a shower and putting the fan on.It's as much use a chocolate fire guard.Would you recommend this product to your friend LOL !!! not if I want to speak to them ever again...
Bought this a month ago and works well especially with ice cubes for turning hot air cold. I use in front of open window to cool the room quicker with hot air getting sucked out. There is noise but it is like white noise to sleep to. Love that it repels mosquitoes and flies so can leave the window open.
So easy to use, I bought it for my bedroom and I am thrilled to be able to get a good nights sleep especially in Perths very hot weather. But I find I am moving it around, and using it in other rooms, it does what it says, Instachill. I highly recommend this cooler.
Our lounge gets incredibly hot, in the afternoons and early evenings. We watched the advertising on TV and often considered purchasing to cool our lounge down. Saw them in Mitre 10, so purchased 19.12.2022. Disappointed that the chill mode, is only 3°C cooler temperature, than that of the actual room temperature. Despite that, it is cooler than a normal pedestal fan. I was expecting an icy chill like an aircon gives out, due to the reactions on the advertisements on TV. Shown in the picture, the lower temp is what is coming out of the Instachill machine. As you can see the cord in front of the air flow louvers and the higher temp is room temperature.
I bought this despite a lot of bad reviews and after I got it i realised a lot of them were expecting too much. It is not an air-conditioner so not as cold as that but it is cooler than a fan which is what you'd expect from an evaporative cooler and the cooler the water the cooler the air. One thing to watch is the water level. I overfilled it a few times because I wasn't watching that and ended up with water puddles everywhere. But all in all a solid piece of equipment
I BOUGHT THIS INSTACHILL LAST YEAR,AFTER SEEING ADVERTS ON TV OF THE INSTA CHILL BEING DEMONSTRATED IN A MALL. IN NZ IT WORKS LIKE A HEAP OF CRAP. IF YOU FILL WITH ICE AND CHILLED WATER IT WILL WORK OK FOR A SHORT PERIOD...ONCE THE LOADED ICE AND CHILLED WATER HAVE BEEN PROCESSED YOU ARE BACK TO PUMPING THE WARM ROOM AIR INTO THE MACHINE AND BACK INTO THE ROOM..COMPLETE Wste of time and money. Phoned instachill and was told to put by an open door and that my space was too big!!!!. The mall in the advert I saw the instachill advertised in looked pretty big to me. And noisy at full speed. I get better cooling from a $29.00 pedestals fan I bought from mitre 10. Test IN home before you buy
Don't waste your money on this product New Zealanders - False advertising. It is not suitable for our climates here, your better off opening your windows and doors, for consistent airflow, which is something this product does not provide. Not suitable for small homes, as it prevents mold. They charge far too much for a useless product!!!!
