This was a huge upgrade for me from a GTX 1660 to Arc B580. Everything is just better, good looking design, small form factor, good temperature, not so high power consumption. I don't have a 1440p monitor so I game on a FHD monitor with a i5-10400F, doesn't seem to bottleneck it that bad. However there are some drawbacks. For some games, Intel didn't have enought to optimize, I believe they will improve their driver in the future. In addition, their driver update takes a lot of time, for me it was 30 minutes, compared to 5 minutes from Nvidia driver. That was very frustrating, Intel.

Using it with a intel 13600 - running 1440px, it is practically equal or better performance to my rtx 3070 - probably because of the 12 GB vram vs the 8 GB in the nvidia. The main upside is it doesn't sound like a jet engine (my old nvidia card was first release wave from palit, don't know what they did with those fans). The Arc card has really modest power consumption for the performance and as a result doesnt get hot or loud.Drivers so far haven't been an issue - had some trouble with fortnite being extremely laggy but that was resolved when the nvidia drivers was properly removed with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

I get it , these cards were very popular upon release. I guess the scalpers got them all. It's been a month and doesn't look like Intel was able to keep up. At this point I am waiting for my backorder to be cancelled because I don't believe the order will be fulfilled at which point back to Nvidia I go.This is not a dig on B&H as they can only secure what is available.
It would appear that HDMI voltage drops are the cause of the issue. Using a fibre optic cable keeps the screen and the PC electronically isolated. It's gone from unusable on the desktop to perfect display.
I bought this as a stop gap while my 4090 is repaired thinking it would make a good temporary replacement (Not in terms of GPU horsepower but as a backup card its not bad). The Samsung S95C has an issue where the screen will go blank a lot if you use HDR and 144HZ 4k refresh (which the screen supports) in certain conditions. The 4090 was nearly perfect, this Intel card is terrible in that one circumstance.A real shame I was looking forward to test driving an Intel card but the screen goes blank on desktop every few seconds.
This thing outperforms the RTX 4060 in almost all games, for up to 80% less of the cost. If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.
Intel LIED TO US ALL!!! So they decide to market battlemage a bit and have all these "Tubers" premoting this card that is LITERALLY the only 1440p card with over 8GB of VRAM that wont cost you a trip to a loan shark or the black market. Only ne little problem. INTEL DID NOT MAKE ANY AND THE AIB's ARE NOT WILLING TO INVEST IN THIS CARD EITHER!!! So what does this leave us with? About 20 to 50 actual non yoububers got this card along with the reviewer and everyone else has to spend $399 on it to buy it from scalpers on Newegg. Newegg is even channleing what little stock they get directly into those more expensive stores that "Price surge" items like this to get customers used to the idea of paying more $$$. You can even watch it happen on the inventory trackers. ... MoreIntel LIED TO US ALL!!! You can even watch it happen on the inventory trackers. Newegg will send a notification that they have the card in stock but 0.5 seconds later they will be sold out and the inventory of the more expensive store will jump up by 10 to 20 cards. They are funneling them into this store because they most likely own it. I have seen similar tactics over at Amazon as well. Point of the story is, if you were unlucky like myself and had your preorder canceled then you are not going to find this card at $250, EVER! Unless you wait a few years and buy it used. I got my hands on s Steel legend that my buddy let me use for a few days and even with my 12900k I did not see a huge boost from my 3060 TI to this card. Seems that DLSS actually does help quite a bit and is miles better than Xess will ever be. I am jaded to the point of hating Intel, AMD and Nvidia. They are scummy companies and operate more like a brothel than an actual business.
Been waiting too long for this. Other vendors have gone through 2 or more rounds of supply while my order is stuck here.
If you have a 5600 AM4 AMD CPU or higher youll be fine. If you have a 10th/11th Gen i5 or higher youll be fine with this GPU. If you have antything lower youll want to invest to a newer platform or you may not see any performance increase with having this card. Reference to Hardware Unboxed on youtube he put this to test! So before spending $250 on this you may just want to invest into a 4060 or 7600XT card or any AMD/Nvidia card used market! BE AWARE’ have fun gaming! Check my channel XxREDxZON3xx
