Really good up grade from my old 6700k, not had any issues with it also finding lots of bios and microcode updates being released at least once a week which ive seen help drop memory latency.

CPU seems to still have issues with drivers and also motherboard compatibility. Seems to be getting better but will still wait for incoming fixes Nov/2024 Hoping to get this all sorted by December and INTEL to provide needed fixes. Otherwise seems stable but there is strange driver crashes related to the internal video and random resets.

Nobody mentions this - it's at least in part made in the USA! Besides the various fabs across the states (OR, NM, others), the assembly of key components is done in the new Foveros fab is here in New Mexico!Reviewers are negative on this product, however. I'll concede two points. 1-Other products as of Nov. 2024 are better value. I'll pay a small premium to support a mild market pressure for local jobs, but if that's not you, hold out for a sale.2-Upgradability. I had my last motherboard for 9 years (1st gen Ryzen). Upgrading this chip may limit options for upgrades. It's not clear if there will be future products that will fit in the motherboard you're about to buy for this chip. If so, the only thing available is a used / discounted 285k for a small bump (4-5% ... MoreNobody mentions this - it's at least in part made in the USA! Bought it before the bettter reviewed AMD 9500X3D for gaming came out, but it is running and gaming just fine with no BSOD crashes on stock settings with 64GB DDR5, Gen5 M.2 plus another Gen4 and 2 SSDs and 1 HDD, 4070 TI graphics, on MSI gaming Wifi board. My small room was getting very hot from my 2021 AMD Zen3 setup, but it is staying much cooler so far. Quick shipping from B&H once they were back from the holiday and fair pricing, and other places did not have it at the time.
I bought one of these and it just "didn't work" right, as soon as a game launched it would have these random freezes as if it tries to BSOD but doesn't and its constant, it might get fixed in the future with a BIOS update but until then, it shouldn't be on sale in that state. This chip is still fast and compared to a u9 285K in an echo chamber, it's a better deal, its not unusably slow like the tech media likes to say it is, but these are not really faster than Raptor Lake, at least in gaming.
