After 6+ years I finally decided to upgrade from my i7-7740 to the i7-9800x. Ran it through numerous stress tests and it works great, I can definitely tell the difference when in VR!

It was more that I expected. Used a single-edged razor blade to clean off the thermal paste, dropped it into the LGA, applied new thermal paste, and installed the Noctua heat sink.

No cooler means that I save money on something I do not need. Works wonderfully in my new ASUS Prime X299-A II LGA 2066 Intel X299 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard.
