I'll make it simple - you won't find a quicker CPU on the market than this, but the power requirements if you're going 'unleashed' and the cooling needs are extreme. If you run it at 350W you're fine, generally, but anything more you're gonna need a bigger boat. It's still an incredible CPU though, and the horsepower is superb. And I'm not even running it at full speed.

Bought this CPU as part of building out a new home server after my last one died. I ran the Microsoft benchmarking tool and got a 99th percentile score,and reported a performance higher any other reported numbers.
