Intex Queen DURA-BEAM Series Elevated Airbed

The bed was a bit too low for me. It was not comfortable getting up. Was comfortable laying down with my extra covers of course. While getting up from a low level, this bed/style some how deflated itself. I ran through two and finally had to upgrade to a real bed. (It was the first bed in my first apartment. I don’t even have it anymore to take a picture. This model had me wake up almost upside down.. it just deflated in a weird way where it wasn’t fully out of air but had my body positioned super unleveled. Libra scales off the scales so to speak!

I have really tried to like these beds. Tried one, returned for another thinking it was defective, and had the same issues. It will not stay inflated. It was up for three weeks on a camping trip, and I had to inflate it every night. Usually by the third night, the mattress will have stretched and will stay inflated. That was not the case with this brand. I gave up and invested in cots! I no longer wake up in the floor!

I bought this as I have really bad days with rheumatoid arthritis and love camping and let's be real I am able to get off the bed easily when i have joint pain in my knee. So to me its a solid 10/10. It's a good height and as comfortable as an air matress can be. It does take a long time to inflate... but there's alot of bed there and you only have to turn it on. It stays inflated even with a lot of weight on it. Every two days I blow it back up just to be firm again

This inflatable bed is fantastic for temporary beds for guests. It plugs into a wall and inflated and deflates with a switch. It does take several minutes and is fairly loud but it’s worth it to me. We got it about 4 years ago and I have started to notice recently that it deflates over the course of the night. You can simply flip the switch to re-inflate the mattress but it is LOUD and you will wake everyone else up. I have looked for any obvious holes or areas of damage but cannot find any. Regardless it worked without any issues for the first three years we had it.

Comfortable but dips down

I bought this to replace a mattress I didn't like, to be an interim solution until I can buy a high-end mattress. This mattress is comfortable when it works, but just a few weeks in has begun to bow down where the sides are taller and you roll in toward the middle. I try sleeping with my back to the sides so that it doesn't compress my lower back at night, but that only partially helps.I did inflate/let it stretch/deflate/reinflate per the instructions, but the edges bulge out on the sides (doesn't fit my queen sheets) and the mattress bows down in the middle. There's not some type of gage to tell how far you should inflate it. I wish it would auto stop or something. Not going to do it if it will cost money to ship back and return - "handling charges" or whatever. So they refunded my money instead.I still have to return the mattress to them but I'm not sure what I will sleep on in the meantime. They have the 18" ones at the store, but that's too tall since I have this on a box spring - need the 13".Sucks because this is actually a comfortable mattress, but in my case it's just not flat in the middle. I called Intex -their email support was zero help- and it seemed like a lot of trouble to return it, and the csr was saying I would have to jump through all these hoops and cut something out in the mattress - not sure what I would do with that - email or mail it. ?? I had to be somewhere so we didn't finish the call, but my takeaway was that it was more trouble than it was worth and would leave me without a mattress in the meantime. I may simply send it back to walmart and buy another brand. I have to return it in the next week and a half and have not figured out what to do yet. I wish I could just simply replace it with another one but that seems like it's going to be hard to do.I wish Intex would read this and send me a replacement without me being mattress-less. Oh well. Right now I have to go to sleep -so I'll just rooooolllll down into the center and try to sleep.

Great bed, tiny storage bag

The bed is great! Love the height and it is comfortable. I did inflate it prior to use, as recommended and when I deflated and attempted to fold and place it in the bag, also discovered the bag to obviously be way too small, as other reviewers stated. Since the company advises carefully folding to avoid sharp creases that could lead to holes, I didn't see any point in trying to stuff it into the zippered bag and risking damage. The bed performed well over a 14-day trip, never losing any significant air and I slept great, although I did add a lightweight foam topper, knowing I was going to be using it for that long.I emailed the company, sending the attached photo and subsequently called the company's Customer Service, at their direction. The rep was professional and attentive, but ultimately, after checking, she advised that they have only one size bag for all their beds. This seems crazy to me. How can one size (small) fit every bed, from a low-profile twin to an 18 inch queen-size? Makes no sense. The bag I received also appeared to be a small duffel-type bag, not even the larger tote as pictured on the box.I found a tote to lug it around in, but it's awkward and I am disappointed in the company for cheapening what is otherwise a great purchase.

It's good, but has deflation issues

For reference I am 320, side sleeper, have back problems, I sleep on this alone and am the only one who uses this, and I use this every night and for naps.The biggest problem it has is it does deflate often. I would think if it got to the point where it needed to be refilled by half it would always be that way, but it isn't.I will also add that I find the mattress to be so uncomfortable when you have to refill it and it's at a full capacity. I hate firm mattresses so that's why I find it uncomfortable. Even in it's comfortable state after a day or two of firmness it still gives me back and neck aches.And as someone else said in the reviews, it can be hard to get out of it since it's so low. I've nearly tripped several times getting out because I get tangled up in the sheets.I'm giving it three star score, but if they had the option, I'd say it's a three and a half stars. This has been the best air mattress I've had to date. The deflation is a big issue, and given the other reviews it seems pretty hit or miss how bad the deflation is. I don't foresee this lasting for me for more than another two months and I'm already looking into getting a bed so I can get away from constantly having to replaces air mattresses. This may be decent, if you get one that doesn't have major leak issues, as a part time bed but I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking at it for a replacement mattress.

Not Worth the money

This product was poorly made, not even 3 weeks of using this bed only to sleep and i discovered a hole right in the center of the bed. For reference I am a petite 5’1 weighting 120lbs female that used this bed solely to sleep at night while I wait for the arrival of my new furniture. I tried getting in contact with the company and upon several emails going back and forth they are making me go through hoops in order to get a replacement or my money back. Look elsewhere. Customer service is 0/10!

Outstanding durability

April of 2019 i started using it. It is now March of 2023 and i am still using it. 4 years of use out of the $35 i spent on this thing! I am beyond impressed. Probably the most efficient use of $35 in my lifetime. Keep in mind that when i say 4 years of use i do mean daily use. Of these 4 years there's been only 3 months that it wasn't used. Full disclosure suggests that i should mention a slow leak did develop about a year ago which requires me to add a bit of air every couple of days. Throw a memory foam topper on this bad boy and have complete firmness/softness control. I never thought in a million years that i'd be using an airbed for so long but the flexibility of controlling the firmness was perfect for me. Wonderful and Sleep like a baby

Living in a townhouse is difficult when you can not do stairs anymore. So I bought an INTEX bed 7 years ago and have been sleeping downstairs every since I became disabled. My cats decided they liked the bed better than myself and their nails punched a 100 holes into it. So when I went to sleep at night I woke up on the floor because it no longer held the air. Well, I bought the twin size which is much smaller than the one I had been using. I am happy to say it holds the air and I also don't have to put air into it every few hours. Since then I padded the top so my cats can sleep with me and not put holes into this new air mattress. Use the firm setting and it has held up for the past four nights.
