This always the 1st thing to buy after ordering a new iPad. I use this on my 11" iPad PRO, 1 TB with Nano-Texture glass. So no matter where I use my iPad, indoors on the sofa, or on a sunny day looking at a trail map during a hike, I'm always well-prepared.The new iPad PRO is much thinner than my 2nd Gen, so when paired with the Magic Keyboard, it is thinner as well. The track pad feels smoother that previous. The hand rests, since they are aluminum, are always cool to the touch when typing, hence comfortable, at least for myself. It is thinner, so it fits in my work bag, man bag, and backpack easier. It feels lighter as well. The fit and finish of this keyboard are top-notch, but for the price, a few things are lacking that should be standard on a premium product. For example:1. Opening the keyboard is difficult, especially with the pencil attached. There should be a tab or indent built in to assist with opening.2. There is no protective flap to secure the pencil. This, in my opinion, is an inexcusable omission as the pencil can get knocked off and lost with almost no effort. With the price of the pencil, it needs to be better protected from loss, and this should be part of a premium keyboard if the design is for it to sit on top of the device exposed. This results in having to use the unprotected iPad lying on a surface where the back will get scratched or the raised camera can be damaged, especially when using the device for notes. There should be a protective sleeve with this keyboard if removing the device is the only way to use it.Although this is an excellent keyboard, some design elements are lacking, and for the price, should have been considered or included. I still recommend the keyboard but know that there are limitations that you may be frustrated by, especially when paying a premium price, and that also creates the need to buy additional items to make up for, such as an additional sleeve/folio.
