This is one of the very top priorities with a gunsafe and without capacity to attach it securely to the floor/wall, it does not comply with NSW Firearms storage legislation. Yet the gunsafe is promoted as complying with the regs for safe storage of category A & B firearms.Pre-made secure attachment holes are in every firearms safe (I've seen many and had quite a few). And if you want to go to the hassle of trying to drill these holes yourself, it’s extremely difficult as the interior is lined with what seems to be a false wooden floor under the lining, (I’ve found out since it’s a type of plasterboard fire rating protection layer). I had to firstly drill through the carpet, then the fire protection layer and then the metal housing of the gunsafe itself (a masonry drill bit followed by a metal drill bit). But I had to make the carpet/plasterboard hole a lot bigger to countersink the dynabolts to get a secure fit and reduce the gap between the top nut of the dynabolt and the top of each hole in the concrete floor (and of course, also to accommodate the spanner to tighten the four dynabolts). I'd needed to do all this four times in the floor as a minimum to comply with safe storage regs. Add to this, having to shift the 87kg safe into the right position over the holes in the concrete floor when it was hard to see the holes through the inside of the safe due to the interior linings. The result is unsatisfactory because there’s movement in the safe now even with packers forced under it. If the holes had of been pre-drilled properly through all the layers like every other gunsafe on the market, the process would have been so much easier and the installation would have been much more secure. It’s just bad production practice and laziness by the chinese manufacturers. The guy at the aussie warehouse told me these units used to come with pre-drilled holes but some people complained cause they didn’t agree with the positions of the holes, which is simply an excuse which justifies the manufacturers laziness. I’ll discuss this with the police when they do their inspection if they question the install. There are also two large keys that came with the unit but I couldn't see keyholes anywhere, in any surface of the safe. I’ve since found out where these keys insert from the warehouse manager but there is no information about this which comes with the safe. The product itself is so cheaply made. The digital keypad is so fragile and flimsy and the lock itself rattles from side to side (loose). And as I said, there's no guidance at all for installation, inserting the batteries in the keypad or about what the unit is lined with and why. This product does not live up to it's advertising hype, doesn't comply with safe firearm storage regulations and in it's current (brand new) state, does not suit the intended purpose. I note there's no reviews for this product. Mine might be the first. The warehouse manager offered a refund if I SEND THE UNIT BACK! It cost me something like $170 (from memory) to get it delivered. Imagine what it might cost for me to arrange return delivery. And all the inconvenience of arranging that. Experiencing all this, there’s no way I’d recommend this product. It's not expensive but I can see why. Oh yes, I nearly forgot. The adjustable shelf support points in the vertical railings inside don't match horizontally, so the shelf has a slant on it.
