Don’t waste your money buying anything other than vise grip. The quality is very good. Anything else is just a copy.

As a new home owner, I've been working on minor and major projects with gusto. Being fairly young with a toolbox full of mixed brands, mostly cheap, bargain-bin items. Slowly, but surely, I am replacing these with higher-quality pieces. I needed this 10" plier for a specific project and am absolutely happy with it.Subsequent to finishing the project, I've been using these both for other tasks around the house and have trouble imagining my toolbox without these. As a bonus, I remember being a little boy and digging around my dad's toolbox and playing with his Irwin locking pliers that were made well before I was born. I'm guessing my little boy will be doing the same in a couple years.

Bought the two pack and the needle nose for my tool collection. Couldn’t find my old kobalt vice grip. Price and quality seem like a great deal. I’ve used these many times in past and these seem to be equal or better than other Irwin vice grips I’ve used.

I have seen less expensive brands of locking pliers use a thiner gauge steel where the handles are riveted to the jaws. I don't think those will clamp as tightly or wear as well as the Vice Grip Brand. I have found the small size plier is handy to lock a nut in place so I can use two hands to remove the bolt that tightens battery terminals. I have used the larger size clamped very tightly to block rotation of my mower blades to they can be removed from the spindle.
I'VE HAD TOOL'S LIKE THESE FOR A LONG LONG TIME. LOVE THEM. THESE ARE XMAS PRESENTS. MERRY XMAS TO ALL..
I’ve used these handy dudes since the mid 1970’s. They are a must for everyone. Whether you are a carpenter, soldier, or just a homeowner, you will find a need for these more often than not. I have one in each of my 3 tool boxes, kitchen “junk” drawer, and I always make sure my son has a couple of pairs, as well as a few good friends.Don’t delay, get a couple of sets now!
My original Vise-Grip disappeared. Was happy to find this in two sizes. The smaller is for me. The larger for my teenage wingman.
Good quality tools. The curved jaws give more grip on cylindrical objects than the straight jaws do. The different sizes are handy. I have used Vise Grip tools for years and got these for my grandson.
The original vise grip has not lost any of it's quality, workmanship or functionality. The tools work smoothly and have a holding grip that can be depended on. Other manufactures make a similar tool. Irwin is my go to supplier.
THESE WORKED PERFECTLY. I HAD A SMALL AREA THAT NEEDED TO BE GLUED ON A CABINET DOOR BEFORE I INSTGALLED SOME ROLLER CABINET CATCHES. MMAYBE TWO HOURS LATER THE GLUE DRIED AND THE PIECE OF VENEER WAS GLUED SOLID AS IF IT NEVER LIFTEDFOR THE PRICE YOUR HOUSE SHOULD NOT BE WITH OUT THIS SIZE
