I have a few Irwin tools now and these 8" pliers are just as good as the others. The handles are nice and comfortable and the jaws have good quality machining. They grip and cut very well when I'm rebuilding motorcycles. Recommended.

I bought these pliers to be used mainly as cutters for wire up to 2.2mm thick that I produce in my daily job. They are strong enough to cut through high carbon steel and are useful for tightening nuts and bolts, gripping and bending wire into shape and are a very good all round set of pliers that for me, outshine every other set that are on the market

JUST ISN'T COMFORTABLE FOR MY HAND
These are absolute garbage. When fully closed there is still a 1-1.5mm gap at the nose, making them useless for wiring etc. I thought it was a one-off so contacted Irwin, then noticed there is actually a nose gap in the Bunnings photo. Irwin kindly sent me a replacement pair, but the gap is even worse at nearly 2mm! Do they even know how to make pliers? This should be a product recall.
These pliers look the part. I haven't put them to any real work yet, so don't really know how well the would stand the test of time.
Excellent quality and good value.
