iSpring RCC7AK 6-Stage Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filte
Certified to NSF/ANSI 58, the RCC7AK is a multi-layered filter system that provides optimal protection against over 1,000 different types of contaminants, including arsenic, asbestos, chlorine, hormones, fluoride, lead, mercury, sodium, and more. Featuring some of the longest-lasting filters in the industry, the system consists of 6 stages, each one designed to progressively remove contaminants and improve water quality. After flowing through the initial 5 stages of the iSpring RCC7 line of reverse osmosis filtering products, the RCC7AK model adds another alkaline remineralization (AK) stage. This stage is designed to restore the natural alkalinity and mineral balance of the water. The RO process effectively generates pure water but it also removes a few helpful minerals in the process. The red mineral stone portion of the AK filter adds back healthy minerals including not just calcium, but also other beneficial minerals, like magnesium, that other systems don’t. The calcite portion of the filter neutralizes the pH of the RO water. And the water tastes better too. Because RO water is so pure, some people may find it tastes unnatural. Many people prefer the more natural taste that comes from the presence of some minerals in the water. Remineralization restores just the right proportion of healthy minerals.

I've had this unit installed for 10 months now. I was waiting around to submit the review until she had proven herself worthy and leak free. That time has come.So far, so good. I was weary about all the Shark-bite-like fittings as many reviews from other brands had issues and resulted in leaks; however, I am pleased to report that I have had no such issues. If you don't account for the code violations that I had to fix due to the previous homeowner, everything went timely and well. The instructions are excellently detailed, and thus I believe most homeowners could tackle this project on their own.Install time for the unit took 2hrs I believe, and it's clearly labeled and color-coated in the manual about what goes where so following along is easy as 1-2-3. ... MoreI've had this unit installed for 10 months now. Plenty of extra hose as you can see from the picture so you've got room for error or an extra long run if you want place the unit further from the sink. Even with the full length attached I've got great water pressure out the spiget.I live in a highly populated area on the East Coast. The city water taste like chlorine and mold. This unit and it's 3-gallon tank delivers excellent fresh water. There is also the mineral additive as the last stage so one is still getting essential minerals that the reverse osmosis system captures, and maybe it adds a hint of Spring water flavor. All in all. A great addition to my family's health and home.

We have a cistern. Live in the country. Have course whole house filter before water heater (GE brand). This iSpring RO was installed by my husband in less than 90 minutes! Instructions were complete and easy to follow. Changing stages 1-3 takes less than 10 minutes. Replacement filters are pennies on the dollar compared to bottled water. Tastes great! Ice %26 water at refrigerator is contaminant free, crisp, and tastes like water should...nothing! We are all drinking almost twice as much water as before. Tell me that's not healthier.

We have had this system installed for a little over 6 months. The water tastes incredible. So much that when we drink bottled water now we consider it a major downgrade. This system was easy to install with simple tools. The scariest part to me was drilling through the counter, but even that went pretty quick and easy. We recently had a check valve go bad and called for customer service. The phone rang straight through to a real person who is very knowledgeable and very helpful. They got parts out right away. I think this is a great product made by an incredible company who really stands by their product. Thank you!

Worse experience, ever!!! I specifically told Angi services, not to send out a trainee or someone who is not a professional who does not know how to put in my particular system but they sent a person anyway that didn't know what he was doing. I paid $198.99 for this system and $124 for installment! This is my very first experience buying a water filter system and I cannot express to you how unhappy I am! The unit did not work right. It's not supposed to be noisy and this was terribly noisy and not only that, when it went to fill the tank back up underneath the sink after I had only filled one bottle of water, the water would not stop running far over an hour so I turned the unit off and the repairman said he would come out to fix it but now I can't get hold of him ... MoreWorse experience, ever!!! I paid $198.99 for this system and $124 for installment and this is what I got nothing but trouble, frustration, and upset! I called Walmart and the installation services numerous times for the last 2 days and no one would help me at the installation Department. They just told me the only thing they could do for me at Walmart was to send FedEx out to pick up the package but I told them that doesn't help me at all because I cannot get on my knees and uninstall it at my age! Yet they said they were sorry that's all they could do. What a horrible way to treat people. I cannot disassemble it! I have not had such terrible service in my life and now for three days I've had no water! All I can say is they better send somebody out here *at no cost to me*, to uninstall this thing and hook it back up the way it was, before they messed everything up! And I BETTER get a refund including installation fees!
I'm very happy with the drinking water quality from this system. It removes all the unwanted flavors from the city water. The automatic shut-off valve tucked behind the RO membrane senses when the tank is full and stops the bottom half of the system from using more water. The final stage alkaline remineralization filter helps make sure the water still has some healthy minerals. The most significant quirk of this system is the effect of time on soaking the alkaline filter stage when not in use. I find that if the system is unused for longer than 24 hours, I have to flush out one or two glasses of water that have acquired a strong odor from soaking in the 6th stage. Since there is plenty of clean water in the tank, this is just a bit of routine maintenance that I ... MoreI'm very happy with the drinking water quality from this system. Since there is plenty of clean water in the tank, this is just a bit of routine maintenance that I don't mind at all.Instructions came with nice diagrams. The list of steps to install this system make sense overall, but some of the details are a bit inaccurate. For example, adding 15 wraps of thread tape to the water tank nipple??? I used 5 wraps and could barely get the valve to fit over it. So bring your common sense and just ensure everything looks correct.
The water in my condo building tasted off to me and to several other residents. We checked it out with the president of the homeowners’ association. Despite the taste it had been tested and was safe. But it still tasted bad.The water in this area contains an above average amount of limestone and other minerals, so it was necessary to do more than use a simple Brita or Pūr countertop filter. I have had reverse osmosis systems in other homes, so it seemed the obvious choice to me.I shopped online, I read reviews, and I checked out comparisons until I was almost dizzy, but I found that the iSpring RCC7AK 6 Stage RO Water System 6-stage Multi-method Reverse Osmosis Filtration System looked like the best one available in a reasonable price range to handle this ... MoreThe water in my condo building tasted off to me and to several other residents. No more hauling water bottles (refillable) from the food cooperative filtration system. Just delightful, fresh tasting water directly from a convenient tap on my sink!Once again, I am drinking “just water”. I am extremely pleased with this system and unhesitatingly recommend it.Your coffee and tea will have better flavor, and it is beneficial for all your cooking needs. It is a good feeling to know exactly what is in your water!
I ordered this water system through Home Depot Canada online. It was shipped directly from the iSpring facility in Georgia USA within 2 days of the order being placed. Arrived at my home amazingly fast. I bought this system to replace a 20 plus year old system that had started giving trouble. Since I have never liked the taste and scale of municipal water I wanted to continue to have an in home water treatment system. This one is very similar to the one it is replacing. We really like the tap that came with it. The push to connect water tube fitting made installation quick and easy. We also have water from this system plumbed to the refrigerator (water tastes great) and the humidifier on our furnace to avoid mineral deposits on the drum and inside the furnace.I ... MoreI ordered this water system through Home Depot Canada online. We are on well water and have a whole home water softener. Installed this system in a few hours, really taking my time. The instructions are excellent and the system worked flawlessly for 5 months with great tasting water. That's when we noticed the pressure was suddenly low. Turns out the tank wasn't filling and the water was just constantly running through the system (relatively easy to diagnose with the Troubleshooting section of the manual).I contacted customer service by email and was sent a brand new tank and ASOV (automatic shut off valve). Put it all back together, along with a new set of filters and everything is working great again. Very happy with the product and the customer service.
I called 30 minutes before the end of day for support, and a few rings and SEAN picks up. I was expecting a recording, but it was SUPPORT answering the phone. I had a few questions about the service I just performed, and one concerned the UV light. Sean answered my questions and told me how to check the light (the plastic flow elbow will glow when the light comes on), I also pulled the black end cap, and there was the bulb, and it worked. The flow switch worked. The light comes on, then stays on for 2 minutes and goes off. Yep, it worked, but the bulb was 2 years old, and Sean said, to change it, so I did. Easy Peazy. Thanks, Sean!!
Very happy with this product. I looked at a few on the website and chose this one. It was my first time owning and installing an RO system. The construction is very nice and it was well protected/ packaged. The instructions have a video link mentioned as well as recommending reading through once to familiarize yourself (which i highly recommend reading and even read through steps twice as you do them). I marked all the tubes 5/8" as directed (do this first to all ends - note i haven't cut anything to shorten it yet, wanted to make sure the unit sat where i wanted it). Only leak I had was b/c i didn't seat one filter properly (i think it was the stage 3 filter that's a little tricky) I didn't have to drill a hole in counter, one was there already from a soap ... MoreVery happy with this product. Unit works great and it's nice to have this - RO removes the fluoride and other things that are still present in even city supplied water, so i have peace of mind. Def. recommend this product/company to anyone.
