As a fan of this fragrance on my husband, I was keen to try this alternative.The familiar fragrance from the signature brand was recognisable but with a woody, deeper scent.The fragrance did need to be reapplied after approximately 6 hours but this is certainly not a negative as I could still smell the fragrance but not as strongly.The fragrance claims to have woody notes of ginger and warm sage but I certainly could not pick these out in the fragrance.The fragrance claims to be a woody, earthy fragrance but I felt it wasn't a heavy, deep fragrance and still smelt quite fresh. I have to say I'm a big fan of iIsey Miyakeand I'm always keen to try any new or existing products they might have in the market . I got my hands on this sample because it was suggesting of having the frangcees notes that I particularly go for in a fragrance. I love this fragrance, it's a simple as that ! You still get the amazing Issey Miyake classic favorite following through but this delivers something in my opinion, just a little bit more exciting ! It's sharp,it's frash and it delivers a smooth cedar and Saddleworth perfection ! This is gorgeous masculine fragrance which is not musky and strong, it is mild and pleasing.It is perfect for every day use due to its gentle and pleasant smell.After immediate application it smells spicy and warm, however after few moments it becomes mild, gentle and light.This fragrance does not last for whole day, rather it lasts for about 3-4 h and after that it completely wears off.In my opinion it is suitable for all age people, both young and senior age. Also it suits all seasons and occasions. I would recommend and would consider purchasing, it makes a great present.

The Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Vétiver Eau de Toilette Intense is an absolute masterpiece! As soon as I smelled it on my husband, I knew it was THE fragrance. It's the perfect choice for any contemporary gentleman. The fragrance boasts an impeccable combination of citrusy notes and a smoky/earthy aroma, making it an excellent everyday scent. The longevity of the fragrance is impressive, and I highly recommend it. My partner has been using it for several weeks, and I love the strong woody scent. It's a masculine yet sublime fragrance that I really adore.
This is a wonderful nature inspired fragrance . Strong and masculine this fragrance is ideal for all day event wear. The ginger notes are not overpowering thankfully as I am not a fan of that particular note . I t is naturally balanced with vetiver , sage and water . Ideal for spring and summer wear . The only negative is that the quality of this fragrance does not encourage me to wear it as a special occasion fragrance as it seems somewhat diluted in comparison to similar fragrances . That being said it is pleasant for everyday wear.

I have had this cologne for a while, and it instantly became my husband favorite. The fragrance is intoxicating, without being overly pungent. It commands the attention of those around you and leave them wanting to know what it is that you are wearing. It is truly a perfectly balanced fragrance.L'Eau D'Issey Intense is a strong, masculine scent with notes of yuzu, bergamot, cinnamon, nutmeg and black incense. Three contrasting harmonies--citrus, spicy and woody--meld to leave only a trace of pure elegance on the skin.
Very different to what I'd usually use but still very pleasant. Unlike others I use it doesn't have any of those fruity fragrances almost citrus sort of smell. This one is a deeper almost woody come fresh smell. It certainly packs a punch and doesn't wear off quickly like some fragrances can. This is most certainly suited to a special occasion and wouldn't have it as a daily wear which reflects in my score of 4 stars not 5. It does require a fair bit for you to notice the smell as its not as potent as some other leading brand fragrances. Still a lovely smell and something I might consider keeping for occasions were I want to mix things up and use it.
