The It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush is a soft yet densely packed brush perfect for use with ANY foundation. I get a beautiful “second skin” finish with any cream or liquid foundation when I use this brush. I also get the perfect amount of powder distribution for a flawless airbrushed finish when I use it with powder foundation. It is the brush I travel with and take on the go. I purchased this brush at Ulta Beauty for $49. It is the one brush I recommend for every makeup user.

I purchased the IT Cosmetics Flat Top Foundation brush in a 5 piece set of full-sized makeup brushes in the brands Heavenly Luxe collection. The foundation brush is a flat-top buffing brush, custom-cut in a dome shape, perfect for buffing and blending in powder, cream and liquid foundations. I exclusively use this IT brush for buffing in liquid foundation. \n\nThe foundation brush looks pretty basic and not as luxurious as the Heavenly Luxe name suggests. However, betraying its basic looks is the fact that the brush has 88,400 synthetic hairs densely packed into a black, matte surface handle. The synthetic hair feels silky soft but doesn't give/flex too much because of how densely packed the brush is. The synthetic hair feels silky soft but doesn't give/flex too much because of how densely packed the brush is. The short handle is comfortable to hold and the matte surface gives a no-slip grip. Short handles, with its close distance to the face, provides precise control, making it possible to complete the makeup application in a short time. \n\nI like to dot my liquid foundation onto the different areas of my face and start gently buffing the foundation in a circular motion with my IT foundation brush. The brush hairs feel velvety soft and non-scratchy on my skin and the brush is small enough to get into the small areas of my face, such as the sides of my nose. The foundation buffs in without looking cakey or streaky, with a smooth, even, buildable coverage. The result is a flawless application, blurring out any imperfections, with a poreless, natural finish. I've been using this brush for about a year now and the brush hairs have never shed which is further testament to its quality. \n\nI'm really floored by how quickly the brush helps buff and blend my foundation in which is due to its short handle. It takes about 30 seconds for me, which is life-changing and crazy, in a good way. Prior to using this brush, my foundation routine took around 2 minutes. I do have to clean brush frequently, which is why I've been tempted to purchase a second, back up brush to use when I've been a bit naughty and not cleaned my brush on time. I truly believe that makeup and skincare get all the credit for achieving beautiful skin, but makeup brushes are our unsung heroes! \n\nPros \n\nVegan, cruelty-free \n\nDensely packed, non-scratchy, soft hairs with zero shedding \n\nShort handle provides precise application, speeds up application \n\nNon-cakey, streak-free, even coverage, blurs imperfections, poreless natural finish \n\nAffordable when bought in a set \n\n \n\nCon \n\nSo good, I want a back-up but it'll hurt my wallet \n\n

Overall, the quality of these brushes is quite excellent. The bristles are soft, the design is nice. Beside that, I have some complaints about these brushes as well. When I first cleanse it, a lot of bristles from the duo fibre, larger shader, and the powder brush fellout. According to the brush guide, it suggests me to spot cleanse it before the first use, but I deep cleansed it instead just because I prefer deep clean rather than spot clean. I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly. I have read the brush guide, and watched several videos on how to wash your makeup brushes from Michelle Phan, Blair Fowler, Kandee Johnson, etc. I even bought the brush guards to properly protect and store these brushes. However, the duo fibre, larger shader, and the powder brush keep shedding bristles crazily. Also, after the first clean, the foundation brush seems to loss its softness. The bristles feel completely different than the first time I feel it when I first got the kit. Whenever I use it to apply my foundation, it tends topoke my skin, and my skin gets a little bit irritated from that. Also after the first clean, the tapered blending brush kinda lost its original shape/form. The tip of the bristles used to be fluffy and spread out at the end, but now the bristles are kinda closed inward, which makes the brush lost its original shape/form. Despite those three problems above, I'm absolutely in love with the rest.

I love this buffing foundation brush from IT Cosmetics. I was not a fan foundation brushes untill now but man this is one perfect brush for a beginner. I am amazed how smooth it glides on and gives a clean smooth natural looking coverage and a finish. Brush is not so heavy and very elegant in look. It has maintainedits shape after many washes and does not rip apart not a single feather.I also get the perfect amount of powder distribution for a flawless airbrushed finish when I use this foundation brush. Blending is always seamless and no patchy skin. Go for it little pricey i know but worth the amount you pay for long time.
This brush is so soft and applies the foundation like a dream. Usually I used a sponge because it's easier to blend but this blended my foundation so well I didn't even need the sponge. Some brushes feel scratchy or leaves streaks but not this one. I highly recommend! I'm looking into purchasing more of their brushes
I bought this on a whim. I’ve been a huge fan of another brand’s brush for years and years. I have been trying to come up with a good description for this review, but all I can come up with is the word, “consistent.” It has a consistent feeling. It applies loose foundation consistently. It has a balanced, feel in my hand, consistently. It can be used as full cover or a more natural cover. I love it and I think you will too.
Honestly I was tired of sponges and thought let me explore make up brushes for my base make up (I use this for foundation and concealer) and the price first surprised me but after the first use I understood completely. Now I use this everyday and only use my sponge for my under eye concealer! About to buy another one just as a back up because everything I like recently is going out of stock
This IT Cosmetics brush is honestly is the best brush you'll ever try for applying foundation. It's so soft and it blends my foundation in so well and seamlessly leaving no need to use a sponge afterwards to push my foundation into my skin and pores. This brush does it all very very beautifully. It's so easy to wash and quick to dry and the hairs of the brush don't shed either. My brush still looks brand new and I've had it for a few years now. I highly recommend this brush to everyone. It won't disappoint.
I’ll be the first to say I absolutely love It Cosmetics and they’re one of favorite beauty brands ever. I love that their makeup products contain skin care ingredients, and everything I’ve ever purchased from them, CC Airbrush perfection powder, You Sculpted Palette, Hello Light Powder, Celebration Foundation etc I love. I use the CC Airbrush perfecting powder as a foundation. I prefer a more natural look, and this delivers exactly what I want. Lately with the humidity the powder hasn’t been applying properly so I decided to splurge buy this $48 brush at Ulta since it’s recommended to go with the powder. Unfortunately, it didn’t help with the application and the brush sheds a lot. It actually applied the powder worse than what I was originally using. Wanted to splurge on an artist quality brush such as this one and I am not disappointed.I feel like an artist when I use it with foundation or BB cream. I usually add a pump of serum (the watermelon glow dew drops) to my makeup, blend them well on the back of my hand and then come in with this wonder of a tool to smooth it onto my skin. It’s delicate yet efficient, I feel the blending always turns out seamless, like, it melts. So: final verdict: yes. Im probably going to buy more from IT cosmetics. P.S. I would suppose this works best on a clean, exfoliated, hydrated face: smooth canvas, better results.
