I switched my cat to the Ivory Coat Chicken & Kangaroo indoor cat food about 3 months ago, it took her a while to get used to it (she was fully addicted to the chemicals they spray Science Diet with- be warned!), so I had to really gradually change her over. She used to have so many issues with vomiting, hacking/gagging, hairballs, if it was stomach related she did it. And did it often, about 2-3 times a week. It seemed to get worse at the beginning of the year and so I did more extensive research and switched her to this. She has not thrown up since. Its been 3 months and I'm ashamed as a cat mum that I listened to the 'vets' that told me science diet was great.Buy this food for your kitty, they will thank you for it.

I started to try grain-free natural diet for my outdoor domestic cat since a while ago. And this is one of the successful natural brands that were well accepted by Bluey. He didn’t like it much from the beginning but he soon accepted it. I believe cats can be trained to adapt to different foods. I choose what’s good for him but don’t judge by his first reaction. Many children like McDonalds foods but are they healthy at all?! I like the fact this food is Australia made from healthy ingredients without nasties. Still trying different brands so far but I will stick to the grain-free diet option.

I'm so happy with this excellent product! Having previously had a cat with IBS, I moved to grain-free foods some years ago.....and will never go back! I've always been happy with Canidae, but unfortunately they don't do a specialised kitten food, and when I found myself with 3 very underweight foster kittens to feed up, I went looking for a good kitten option - so glad I found Ivory Coat! My three little guys had major GIT problems (due to several parasitic infections when they were very tiny), so have extremely sensitive tummies; I've tried several different brands that claim to offer special digestive support (excluding a well-known prescription brand provided by the rescue shelter), but Ivory coat is the ONLY brand that hasn't resulted in explosive #2s and ... MoreI'm so happy with this excellent product! I've had the boys on Ivory Coat for ~3 months now, and they couldn't be more healthy or full of energy! Within weeks of starting this food, they went from severely underweight to well above average weight for their age. They have glossy coats, bright eyes, and minimal odour (from both ends!) Ivory Coat might be very slightly more expensive per kg than other brands, however I find that the kittens eat less of it than other brands (it does have a higher protein content than other brands, and I feel is more filling and nutritious to them, hence eating less of it). It's a great all-natural product, and the icing on the cake is that this is an Australian brand - I will continue to support home-grown now that I've found Ivory Coat, and won't hesitate in sharing my find with anyone who'll listen!! In addition to fostering, I also board kitties in my home, so see a wide variety of dry foods consumed, and the results of eating it - my comment would be that it's definitely a worthwhile investment in your cat's immediate as well as long-term health to pay a little more for quality......and be sure to read the ingredients list! Just because the brand is high-profile doesn't mean they don't include junk & fillers. You can trust in Ivory Coat: it's done wonders for my kittens, and I'm sure will do for yours, too :)

My three kittens (7 & 10 mo) absolutely love this dry food. It makes their coats very soft and shiny, and I feel good about feeding them this dry food as it's natural and free of artificial ingredients. Only negative is the packaging which has to go into landfill- I don't think that's good enough these days as they are much more environmentally friendly packaging alternatives.
Really disappointed! The ingredients look great so I changed from a supermarket brand. However, my 3 months old kitten started having diarrhea and dehydration since I completely swapped to ivory coat. We tried variety of wet food on him but he never had a diarrhea. Now I have to swap back to his old food. What a waste!
I bought this cat food thinking it would be the right choice for my cat. Being grain free I thought it would be healthy. Since she has been eating this she has developed liver disease which is unlikely to be reversed. This is the only change in her diet and lifestyle. I have since read many other reviews and peoples experiences with this product and wish I had done more research before feeding this to my poor cat.
Used to feed this to my cat and she liked the food but didn't love (she isn't fussy at all and this is the only brand of food I've tried that she will not eat it all) but with feeding her this brand of cat food she would get nauseous and vomit after eating, she would have runny poops that smelt to high heavens. Took her to the vet and she was fine medically, changed her food and she has improved significantly. Threw out the remainder of the bag I had left and will never feed her this brand again.
It is not my opinion rather what my cats think of Ivory Coat Natural health Grain free for Indoor Adult Cats. After 5 weeks they still will not eat the stuff. So much for the Chicken and Kangaroo dry food. I started by giving a small quantity with their regular crunchies and that was that. Won't touch the stuff.
I have a VERY fussy cat and this is her base dry grazing biscuits. She gets bored easily of flavours unlike my other male cat who will exclusively only eat Ivory coat kangaroo for the last 5 years (which she also doesn’t like the kangaroo too much to start unless I add some other ‘treat’ as ‘sprinkles’ / flavour interest on top of her serve to get started, yet she will happily come back to empty the bowl by the end of the day). She also gets fresh meat or wet food daily so more likely spoilt for choice! I know they are getting the very best nutrition and supporting Grown and Made in Australia rather than unknown sourced meat of international brands. Very shiny coat, healthy weight and no fur balls yet (she’s long hair and now 2yo). Worth experimenting with mixing up ... MoreI have a VERY fussy cat and this is her base dry grazing biscuits. Before switching to Ivory Coat, my kitten had very intense odour in his litter waste and was not digesting properly. This kibble has changed that completely and he is eating much better. They are small which is good for young felines and his litter has never had a better scent.
