bought this unit less than a week ago... If I only have read the reviews beforehand...Massive headache to assemble. You need to bash the mallet onto the parts so they can fit to each other. It is noisy, messy and exhausting! Need to apologise to all neighbours for all the noise made in attempt to put a couple of parts together. Half-way through, parts will fall off when trying to fit other together... I'm completely frustrated and disappointed. Will ask my money back

Manual says to "lightly tap" the shelf into its slots. Does the person who wrote this do parties? You have to break in each slot with 10 minutes of high-energy mallet bashing, after which the shelves will pop in and out (especially out, when you're malleting an adjacent slot). I would not have bought this if I'd known I had to forge the steel myself.

Exactly what we needed for our rumpus room. The 610 mm deep storage is fantastic, this unit stores a lot more than the old narrow shelving it replaces.My only initial concern was how the middle shelf beams/braces join the lower to upper sections, but once built it is very sturdy.For the price it is amazing. You would have to spend a lot to get a nicer looking unit of this size. But I like the warehouse/shed style look.

This shelf unit was easy to assemble and I have no complaints with it other than I installed it in a relatively small room, loaded the shelves with goods and shut the door. When I returned the next day the fumes in the room were so strong that my eyes burned. I have since left the door open and it's better but still makes me nauseous if I'm in there for longer that a few minutes
This product was a total waste of time, cheap metal frame that bends when you try to assemble and cheap plastic caps that break during assembly. It is actually impossible to put this together the parts do not fit properly. Returned and received refund.
I purchased two of the JB5TRHDSR shelving units for use in my garage. The big plus for me was the large amount of storage area available with the unit. After assembly of the units I loaded my tools etc. onto the shelves. There was much less than 350kg on each shelf and the load on each shelf was evenly distributed. After a few days I noticed that several of the MDF shelves were sagging due to the long support beams (C in the parts list) bowing outwards at the centre. I fixed this for each shelf by connecting the front and back long beams together at their centres with a 610mm length of 3/16 inch threaded rod, passing through 7/32 inch holes drilled through the beams and under the MDF shelf. I've bought about 6 of these and will keep buying more, BUT the specification repeatedly says "350kg PER SHELF". Seriously, NO WAY. The thin MDF shelves bend severely within a few weeks if you go over about 100kg, to the point of totally collapsing into the next self (see photos) and then you can imagine a cascade collapse. Get an Engineer (a real one, ie: MIEAust, PEng) to rate these things properly please. Maybe, maybe, the rating is meant to be 350kg total for 5 shelves uniformally distributed, but never ever 350kg per shelf. The MDF will just fold like tissue, and even if it didn't the thin legs would cave in with close to 2 tonnes loaded in the 5 selves total (5 x 350kg = 1750kg = 1.75 Tonnes). Wow, what a piece of junk to assemble. No matter how much bashing the thing just doesn't want to go together. I'm at the point now where I need to decide if I can be bothered assembling this thing or just trash it. The 350kg rating is a joke, the shelves are THIN MDF do not put anything valuable on them.
I have been looking for more storage options for my house, and looking at the shelves proved to be the perfect fit to go into my garage, and still have room for the cars and my bike. It gave us more room in the garage by being able to put everything else we had in there onto it.It does take a bit to put it together, especially the bottom shelf, but after that it gets easier. It took me about 90min if that to get it put together.It is very sturdy, no wobble and very secure.
It took me a very long time to bash these together, the video makes it look easy, but its a hard slog, took me 3 hours of stress and hammer bashing to assemble 4 sets in our office, it was literally painful. The coupler was the hardest part, bashing legs from above at 1.8 meters. Then moving/sliding them into place was hard too, the boltless cross beams can pop out easily. The shelves were a perfect fit for our office space and look great, hold everything but will not hold over 100kg each without some kind of extra support.
