I truly cannot say a single bad thing about these earbuds! They provide an absolutely phenomenal listening experience, as well as noise canceling about as close to over the ear headphones as you can get from wireless earbuds. Firstly, these earbuds are extremely well built, and the materials for both the earbuds and case are a smooth touch material that feels very high quality. The controls of the earbuds are also excellent and intuitive, using subtle (extremely tactile and satisfying, I even use the headphones as a fidget sometimes!) buttons inside each of the earbuds on their surface rather than the traditional inaccurate touch sensors most wireless earbuds usually have. The earbuds also fit extremely comfortably and well, and are engineered to be used for more active situations, so are also IP68 water and dust resistant. It's honestly shocking how snug and comfortably they fit; the earbuds' physical shape actually conforms very closely to the shape of the ear! The packaging says that "62,000 ears [were] scanned" to make the fit as good as it is and it definitely shows! The real showstopper is the shockingly good sound quality and noise cancellation of these earbuds - they sound and provide active noise cancelling essentially a step down from high quality over the ear headphones and are absolutely phenomenal. All music, voices, etc. sound extremely crisp and clear, they have a wide frequency response meaning you can hear all of the intricacies of songs (similar to in over the ear headphones), the noise canceling blocks out almost all outside noise extremely well via active and passive noise canceling, and with onboard microphones these headphones also have an extremely useful (and suprisingly clear for earbuds with a seal in your ear) sound passthrough and good call quality. Last but not least, the earbuds integrate very nicely with Android phones via fast pairing, support smart assistant integration features, come with different sized eartips to refine your fit, have fantastic battery life that will last you days when combined with intermittent charging via the case, and are overall some of the absolute nicest earbuds I've ever used. I highly recommend giving these a try!

The common themes (e.g. fans, rain, birds, storm, waves) are convincingly real and can effectively obliterate intrusive noises with help from active noise cancelling. The app includes a strange Dolby spatial sound enhancer for media streams that "expands" the media sound - this enhanced sound, from every conceivable media type, was invariably a degraded stereoalizezation effect that produced an annoyingly fake sound. A terrible addition !Excluding that option, the sound is fantastic - clear and noiseless treble with surprisingly strong bass from such a tiny earbud. Navigation is intuitive but is not without fault (navigating taps don't always land the result you are anticipating). And the range for the Bluetooth connection is less-than-stellar.Overall: these sound great but I don't find their overall operation to be at a level where they can compete with the latest Google Pixel Buds Pro while demanding the same price.I would definitely recommend these, but I would also recommend that you carefully consider other earbuds on the market that might be better for you. There are a LOT of earbuds like this on the market right now.

For a pair of $300 earbuds, I was expecting a lot better sound quality 'upgrading' from the Jabra 75T's to these. This was NOT an upgrade. I LOVED the 75T's, they had a much nicer fit with a crisp, clear sound quality, and fantastically defined bass. HOWEVER, with the Elite 8's, Skullcandy earbuds from 2008 sound better than these! The audio sounds like its coming from Gameboy speakers with a gimmicky simulated bass that lacks any 'thump' or 'oomph'. The high end frequencies are flat, harsh, convoluted, lacking in clarity, color and definition. Adjusting the EQ through the app does not make it any better. I am extremely disappointed by this, especially since a 2 year old model sounded like an ENTIRELY different quality or brand. I am extremely disappointed by this, especially since a 2 year old model sounded like an ENTIRELY different quality or brand. These are no where close, they sound like dollar store headphones. The battery life is good, the fit is comfortable and they don't fall out, but that's about it. I've asked friends over a call how this mic compares with my old 75T's and they said the old one sounded better... So what exactly is supposed to be better with these? Even the ANC and hear-through has issues.. When I'm buying earbuds at a high end price range, I would expect the audio to be at the very least, GOOD, especially since that's the MAIN purpose/use for them is for LISTENING to things. I honestly don't care how 'rugged' they are, I'm not throwing $300 earbuds around carelessly, I never dropped my 75T's in the 2 years I had them. Although I doubt that should affect or take away from audio quality build at all... they just cheaped out on the audio drivers. Podcasts are fine and not as noticeable, but whenever I put on music, I get extremely bummed out to the point where I don't even want to listen to music anymore... and I'm a music producer/sound engineer for the last 15 years. I have a decent attention to audio detail, although it wouldn't take someone with a trained ear to recognize the lack of audio fidelity with these. There's a night and day difference between these and the 75T's. As soon as you turn them on, the voice assistant even sounds distorted and muffled like its coming from a stuffed animal speaker?! What is that!? I was a big fan of Jabra but after these I'm going to have to reconsider switching to Sony or Bose. I cannot get a proper sound reference now for when I listen to my recorded songs... and of course these are 'final sale' from Best Buy so now I'm stuck $300 deep in garbage audio I have to listen to every day at work. Take my advice and AVOID these, you have a better chance of having clearer audio with $20 earbuds and don't have to worry about how 'rugged' they are.

The soundstage is remarkably immersive, making you feel like you're right in the middle of the music. There is support for spatial audio, so if youāre watching a tv show or movie that is encoded with spatial audio you will be in for a treat as it makes it feel like you are part of the action. The "military-grade durability" claim is not an exaggeration. These earbuds are built to withstand the toughest conditions. Whether you're going for an intense workout, running in the rain, or just dealing with daily wear and tear, the Elite 8 Active can handle it all. I live in an area where its mainly hot and humid, so I sweat a lot when I go jogging. These buds did not slip out at all and I felt confident even when trail running that they wouldnāt pop out. Iāve had problems in the past with other earbuds that wouldnāt stay in my ears when Iām running hard, but no worries here. The robust construction and water-resistant design give you peace of mind, knowing your investment is well-protected.The ergonomic design of these earbuds ensures a secure and comfortable fit, even during vigorous activities. They come with multiple ear tip options, allowing you to find the perfect fit for your ears. The only slight drawback is that after extended use (several hours), some users may experience a bit of discomfort. However, this is a minor concern compared to the overall comfort and stability. The active noise cancelling is very good, but not great. At the gym it does a good job cancelling out the very loud and annoying background music my gym plays, but I can still hear it, although at a much less louder volume. The battery life is impressive, offering up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge, with an additional 24 hours from the USB-C charging case. This is more than sufficient for most people's daily use. However, if you're an extreme power user you might need to charge them more frequently.Pairing the Elite 8 Active with my iPhone and iPad was effortless, and the multipoint Bluetooth 5.3 connection remained stable throughout my testing. The touch controls on the earbuds are intuitive, allowing you to adjust volume, skip tracks, answer calls, and activate voice assistants such as Siri with ease.In summary, the Jabra Elite 8 Active In-ear Headphones are fantastic for active individuals. With exceptional sound quality, military-grade durability, and a comfortable fit, they deliver on all fronts. Whether you're hitting the gym, commuting, or just enjoying your favorite tunes at home, these earbuds will elevate your audio experience to a whole new level.
Jabra Elite 8 Active is a pair of earbuds that passed the rigorous US Military Standards for rugged electronics and this is not a light statement to make by Jabra. The earbuds have IP rating of IP6X, which is the maximum level of dust protection and even the case has an IP rating of IP5X. Jabra claims that bringing these buds to the beach for outdoor activities are not a problem. The buds also get an IP rating of IPX8, which means they can get submerged under water up to 1.5 meters and the case can withstand splashes of water as well. The buds were also tested against saltwater splash, too.Why do these ratings matter? Well, people have been buying Jabra earbuds mainly for their durability. The buds were also tested against saltwater splash, too.Why do these ratings matter? Well, people have been buying Jabra earbuds mainly for their durability. These earbuds are meant for outdoor activities. But does Jabra deliver this time with the Elite 8 Active? Yes. Not only that these earbuds are durable, they stick in the ear really well. Jabra gives you a set of different silicone tips for better fitting to your ear, however, the ones that came stock work well for me. These earbuds stick really well to my ears. These days spatial audio is pretty much standard so these buds support Dolby Audio. However, it does not support Dolby Atmos, which is reserved for the higher-end model. In terms of other features, theyāre all there. Thereās ANC, which works pretty well, and also hear through that blocks out wind noise when we use the earbuds outside. The 6 microphones work well and I have used them for video conference without a problem. The earbuds can last up to 8 hours in a single charge and the case has enough reserve power to charge the earbuds 3 times. The case also supports wireless charging, which is nice. Now on to audio performance. I wonāt be very critical here because again the main selling point of these earbuds are outdoor performance and activities. First thing first, make sure that the buds are updated to the latest firmware by downloading the app to your phone. Youāll be getting improvement in terms of audio performance.Generally speaking, audio performance is good. Audio is clear enough and the bass is very much audible and quite well pronounced. However, I would very much like it more if the mids and highs are more evenly pronounced so as to get more balanced frequency performance across the board. So, the types of music that play better in my test with these earbuds are dance and electronics, which is not surprising because these earbuds are meant for outdoor activities. Listening to Daft Punkās track āOne More Timeā is both enjoyable and energizing. Audio performance across all frequencies in that track make more sense and are quite typical to electronic music. Other types of music even classical music are still enjoyable to play, though they may not maximize on the sound characteristics of the earbuds, which are leaning more to the low frequencies. Beethovenās 9th Symphony, 4th Movement, was still enjoyable to hear though it is less engaging than tracks from electronic music. Separation between all instruments and vocals is not the earbudsā strength. Itās quite clear that the earbudsā acoustics are tuned more to give better performance for specific genres of music. Still, this is a good pair of earbuds for outdoor activities.
I wanted to like these so bad and for the most part I do but one thing stops me from loving them....Hearthrough Mode. When in this mode the earbuds start out working perfectly fine and you can hear your surroundings just fine but when there is a constant background noise like driving with both windows down or in a room with machinery running the buds decide to muffle the noise for some time and then go back to working normally again. Sometimes it is 10-15 seconds and other times it's multiple minutes before they go back to ānormalā operation in that mode. They do this over and over and over as long as the background noise is constant and you have them in hearthrough mode. Sometimes it is 10-15 seconds and other times it's multiple minutes before they go back to ānormalā operation in that mode. They do this over and over and over as long as the background noise is constant and you have them in hearthrough mode. It is distracting, annoying and in some cases, for me, dangerous because I am a Contractor and I need to hear what is going on around me at all times! I do not need my buds āputting a pillow over my headā every few seconds and then removing it whenever they feel like it for a few seconds and then muffling the sound again all day long! Now the good....They are the best buds I have ever had that STAY IN BY THEMSELVES and do not need to be readjusted or pushed back in regularly through the day. They just stay in! They are really comfortable too! Plus they come with 3 different sized ear tips so you can get the fit you want and they are not proprietary ear tips so you can buy aftermarket replacements when they wear out or get lost. The charging case is nice and slim and is the only case I have ever carried in a pocket over 21 sets of earbuds used or tested in the past few years. They are easy to reinsert and they always connect and charge without having to wiggle them around in the case. The software is great and has a really nice integration of the google assistant that I really like. You can get notifications read to you with a tap on the right earbud button or you can hold it and speak a task or search query and it works flawlessly. You can also customize the actions of the buds buttons on each side for single tap, hold, 2 taps, 3 taps. So you can have up to 8 actions with both buds active. The app has a built in EQ that has presets and also allows you to customize the sound if you'd like. The app lets you do a lot, like track your buds with GPS allowed, play ambient noises, playback your voice in the buds while on a call so you're not yelling at people and so much more. They are highly customizable through many aspects and too much to explain here. The app is well thought out and gives the most customization and options that I have seen in any earbud package I have owned to date. By far the best app experience.ANC works great with no flaws and blocks unwanted noise from interfering with the audio that you are listening to but it can be turned off if you do not want to use it. However it is always active on a phone call in single bud mode. Not a deal breaker for me and it does make sense why that is applied in that mode.I wish it had 2 more "clicks" up for volume as I have worked and do work in noisy environments and my ears are not what they used to be. To be fair this is a wish on most earbuds that I have except for my favorite pair that has yet to be beat in 5 years even by their own new releases. I think the max volume on these will be found to be perfectly acceptable to most users. Listening with ANC and Hearthrough OFF is pleasant and no noticeable things to complain about. The sound quality is very good in all modes, even Hearthrough no matter if its muffling surrounding noise or not, the audio being played sounds good.Overall I really like them and IF they find a fix for Hearthrough with a firmware update then I will LOVE them and they may finally take the reigns away from my trusty favorites even though those are a tad bit louder, these are more comfortable and STAY IN! I love not having to fidget with my earbuds through the day because my activity keeps making them slip out slowly. These do NOT do that and I love that about them! Plus they sound great! I think these are a winner and most people will be very happy with them as I am. I really like these and even with the hearthough annoyance I have found myself reaching for these more often than any others I own since receiving them. I do recommend them and I think the hearthrough thing is just a new product glitch that will be fixed really quickly. I have contacted support and they seem to be really interested in details and finding a solution, even mentioning, they do want to resolve it as fast as possible because they are a new to market product. So I think it will be resolved. With that faith in mind these are an absolutely recommended item. The company actually cares and wants to help to make their customer's experience the best it can possibly be, even with a new item. A++++ Really nice buds! I would order them again if they got lost and that should speak volumes because I own so many "back up" pairs. I genuinely like these a lot!
These buds are my new best buds, both at work and play! At this point I have owned a lot of headphones, earphones, earbuds or whatever you chose to call them. A lot of them have a lot of nice features, but so far none I have tried have the combination of sound, features, comfort and durability that these buds have.In terms of visual design, these buds are very minimalist. They sit well back in my average size ears and with a non-reflective coating they do not call attention to themselves. Unlike other buds that go out of the way to be noticed, likely so you can show your friends and family how cool you are, these are pretty stealthy. Might not be for everyone, but I really like the understated look rather than going for trendy. The outer coating is interesting as ...Ā MoreThese buds are my new best buds, both at work and play! The outer coating is interesting as it has a very slight rubbery texture, making it seem less likely they will slip from your grasp. I was worried that the coating would attract dirt/dust/debris as I have experienced that with similarly textured items before. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that these buds actually seem more resistant to collecting messy bits than others I have experience with. I even managed to send one bud through the engine compartment of my running lawn mower (don't ask) and when I located it on the ground, I didn't see much of anything on it, and after a quick wipe on the t-shirt it went back in my ear.The medium squishy tips on the buds out of the box fit my ear best, but the package came with larger and smaller ones to fit a variety of ear sizes. The angle of the tips and shape of the buds really fits more comfortably in my ear than most buds I have tried. For me these are light years better fitting than the hard plastic ones. I got a pair of the trendy white ones as a gift and the darn things simply refuse to stay seated in my ears.I didn't test all the durability claims, but they have survived being dropped through the moving lawnmower (really, please don't ask), batted off the kitchen table by the cat, and (purposely) tossed into the pool, among other things. I am very impressed that after using these every day for a couple of weeks, including the mentioned mishaps, these buds still look good and sound good.In terms of sound quality, I was pleased with the crisp clarity of these buds. The bass effect is naturally constrained by the nature of the device compared to full over ear cans, but it was acceptable right out of the box. I did a little EQ tweaking and I found I could get a little warmer tone that seemed to get just the right balance for my taste. Not muddy, but just slightly less sharp. The active noise cancellation of these buds is the best I have experienced from in-ears. It isn't the cone of silence I get from my over ears, but the ANC is great at taking away the background sound of the lawnmower so that I don't have overcrank the music to drown it out. The form factor also makes it much more comfortable than wearing full cans while working or exercising. It's also worth mentioning the hear-through feature. In this mode it is possible to hear your surroundings, and comfortably communicate with others without removing the buds. I find myself using this feature a lot rather than my old go-to of pulling one bud out to speak with someone, or to be aware of my surroundings. Because the hear-through uses the mics on the buds to pick up the ambient sound it is quite different than listening with your own ears, and it's not great to use while still trying to play music, but it is a nice feature to have available. Testing the mic on a call showed that the pickup was quite good and call clarity was excellent.Operating the features of the buds is easy with pushes of the flat "front" of either the left or right didn't require a hard press (that would shove the bud into the ear) to activate features like the hear-through and ANC. The switching was near instantaneous and has become second nature as I use these. Battery life seems pretty good, but I am in the habit of regularly charging my devices so they are ready for use when I want them. I do know that I was able to run them continuously for 6 hours, mostly in ANC mode, before my phone battery died and I stopped using them. The charging case can charge using USB-C or on a pad,and seems to charge up pretty fast. These have become my go-to earbuds for everyday use. I have relegated my other buds to backup duty, and doubt they will be seeing too much use.

Finding the ideal set of earphones that met my many needs had been a bit of a search for me because I value music as well as being active. But now that I've had some quality time with these earbuds, I can declare with certainty that my quest is over. The Jabra Elite 8 Active makes a great first impression in the area of design. The earphones are packaged in a stylish, portable charging case that is convenient to carry. The case is well-made, and the magnetic lid closure works satisfactorily. Due to the variety of ear tip selections, the earbuds themselves are comfortable in my ears. Even during extended listening sessions or strenuous workouts, they are surprisingly comfy. The audio performance of these earphones is really where they stand out. Jabra has made every effort to offer a full and well-balanced sound profile. Crisp highs, powerful mids, and gratifying lows are all features of the Elite 8 Active earbuds. These earphones provide an excellent listening experience regardless of whether you prefer the complex melodies of classical music or the deep bass of electronic music. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology is what most struck me. It successfully muffles distracting background noise so I can fully enjoy my music or podcasts. The HearThrough feature enables me to be aware of my surroundings while out for a run or a bike ride without taking out the headphones. For wireless earbuds, battery life is a key factor, and the Elite 8 Active doesn't let users down. I received an impressive 7-8 hours of playback time with ANC enabled on a single charge without ANC you will get around 14 hours and That is substantially increased by the charging case, making it appropriate for all-day use or extended journeys. The Bluetooth connection has been steadfast. The earphones were simple to pair with my devices, and they stayed in contact with them throughout my use, even while my phone was in another room or pocket. The IP68 classification for dust and water resistance is a blessing for someone who likes to be active. These earbuds are designed to survive sweat and even the odd sprinkle of rain. They've held up quite well, and I've used them without concern during strenuous workouts and runs. The earbuds' simple touch controls make it simple to manage music playback, answer calls, and change the ANC settings. Even more control is available with the Jabra Sound+ app, which lets you personalize your sound profile and change the ANC settings to suit your preferences. It's a useful tool that improves the user experience in general.Good call quality is crucial in a world where remote work and video calls are the norm. These Jabra Elite 8 Series headphones have hit my ears with the best feeling of sound, structure and the most comfort out of every other set I have used so far, period. I have tried over 30 sets of ear buds over the $100 mark and plenty of others under $100 and these are my favorite so far and now look at other ear buds as inferior. I have used these for over 3 weeks straight on a daily basis, from working in a shop, taking walks, grocery shopping and even being on my motorcycle for long drives, and here is what I have found. The Elite 8 in-ear headphones are strong, they have hit the cement multiple times now and not one mark to date, they are tough, military tough! They also fit my ears better than any other ear bud I have tried, they actually stay in, I do not have to constantly push them back in, I go hours without adjustment. The Jabra Elite 8's also hit the mark with charge time, long days fret my music as they go hours on end playing, they have yet to die in a 9 hour work day on myself and I am between 90 and 100% volume the entire time. The Active Noise Cancelling is amazing as long as you download the app so you can turn the option on and off. When on my motorcycle, I can turn it off and turn on passive sound so I can hear the world around me which is a huge need on a bike. The ANC feature works almost too good, I had my 2 youngest kids yell at me with the volume at 70% and I could not hear them at all, hats off to Jabra for them creating a true ANC that works flawlessly. The ear buds charge very quickly from what I can tell, I never go without battery when I need them, I also only charge them once every 3 days so far, yet to run out of juice. Connection to all my devices have been seamless as well, not one device did not pair within seconds, it was always instant. Now, for the sound, these sound great, not my $500 gaming headphones good but not far off. If you have Dolby Atmos turned on your phone or PC and you turn it on in the Jabra app, you will hate your experience, you need to use the app only or phone/device only, the sound quality will suffer 10 fold if you do this, which I expect from other reviews that is most likely what they are having as an issue. The lows hit low, probably as low as 35 to 40 hz and then fade down from there, I feel like they have a subsonic filter built in, which is smart. The mids are clear, not muddy like many others, lyrics are crisp and clear like they were meant to sound like. The highs are crisp and not tinny at all, very smooth highs, if you get the tinny sound, your equalizer on your device may be set for general, not for your ears or device you are listening through, learn to adjust for yourself, it will make the worst headphones even a little better. The wireless range is amazing, states 32 feet which is false, it is WAY more, my desk in 49 feet away from my machine and I leave my phone on my desk, I can go another 4 or 5 feet past my machine control panel before it starts to break up. The built in voice assistance works great with Google, the microphone is very precise and picks up everything, so if you are trying to google search via voice, go away from others talking, it will pick them up.The charging case is great as well, compact for my pocket and giving us multiple more charges for weekend long hiking and camping trip performance. The built in controls work great, nice positive clicking feel so you know you are not looking like someone has a fly in their ear, you know what I mean. I am truly happy with these ear bud headphones from Jabra, these are easily one of the best for the price on the market currently in my opinion.I absolutely recommend these to anyone, especially if you have tried many sets and they do not stay in your ears, I can bet the house these will be for you!
I'm picky about ear buds, and I've tried a lot of them, so five stars to me really means something. These are, hands down, the best ear buds I've used to work out in. Yes, I have some higher end ones that aren't really designed for workouts, but even against those, the sound quality and noise cancellation on these Jabras holds up. When you combine that with the water (sweat) resistance and the stability in your ears while moving around, it's an unbeatable workout combo. If there's one nit to pick, it's that I don't necessarily want to pause my program when I take out one bud to wipe some sweat away, but even that feature will seem like a large positive to some users. And it doesn't just pause your music (or TV show if they're linked to your Apple TV) when you take ...Ā MoreI'm picky about ear buds, and I've tried a lot of them, so five stars to me really means something. And it doesn't just pause your music (or TV show if they're linked to your Apple TV) when you take out one bud. It also switches the other bud to ambient sound pass-through because it assumes you might be taking out one bud to hear what's going on. Then it switches back to noise-cancelling when you put the bud back in. And make no mistake, you won't hear what's going on around you when these are in and noise cancelling is turned on. It's like the floor fan doesn't even exist, let alone is blowing air past you on high. It blocked out all but the highest register of sound coming from the rowing machine. Other than the sound coming through the buds, the loudest noise was my own breathing. You know how when you're snorkeling, the water mutes everything and makes your breathing sound loud in your own ears? That's what it was like. The sound was great right out of the box. Good response across the entire dynamic range, and plenty of volume on the low end, which can make or break ear buds in my opinion. Completely stable in your ears during any range of motion I encountered, and very comfortable. These would be perfectly fine as your everyday set of buds, but you can't beat them for working out in.
