The first thing I noticed about the Jabra Elite 85T is the sleek black bud storage/charging pod they came in. Other than the sensational look, its rounded edges provided a very smooth and pleasant tactile sensation. What a start!! but if you are after more than glamour then you are in for a high ride. The highly functional magnetic clips in the storage pods ensuring that the buds are safely (and stylishly) stored as well as letting the buds receive the maximum charge. And so, the benefits go on. This was my second pair of ear buds so I have a great basis for comparison. Now to begin my sound journey of discovery: The App made it simple to modify the sound to my personal requirements and permitted me to specify the earbud’s button functions, a big plus. The ‘hearing’ test on set up was a great innovation for me, particularly as my left and right ears have a different level of hearing. This test allows one to personalise each bud’s sound variables. The sound quality was great for all types of noise; music, radio and my ‘hear a books’ but the pièce de resistance for me was when the buds were used to make or receive telephone calls. The incoming calls were clear and without any interference and the earbud’s microphones picked up my conversations with ease - the calls were strong and pure, - absolutely sensational. This was a massive positive and meant that I could experience the true definition of hands free. As an aside, my mobile phone could also stay safely and securely in my bag. I experimented with the noise cancelling function whilst using a power pressure hose. As I now expected, the sound was great. I could continue to listen to the radio conversation in comfort. These buds are larger than some other buds, but this extra space is used to provide the amazing sound experience for the listener. I often use the buds during sleeping, as not to disturb my partner, and had no uncomfortableness sleeping with one in. The supply of additional size ear gels allows them, again, to be personalised to one’s own ear fitting. In summary these ear buds give the amazing benefit of personalising all aspects of the buds, from sound quality for individual ears and fit. I have no hesitation in recommending these very highly to anyone that is after a true sound experience.

Earphones sound really good, having very good and crisp bass. Audio quality is awesome in terms of loudness, treble, bass.Only problem is the call quality, Microphones are not working properly. This is my 2nd pair of the same model/ 85T earbud’s and still facing the similar issue. If you are in a room/ environment with no to very less noise then only other person can hear you otherwise he won’t. I have tried to use them for calls in trains, buses, busy environment, streets with people around me, the other person on the call can’t hear me at all.To sum up: Audio quality is awesome.Call quality is not good at all. Thanks

Probably the best ANC buds on the market. The ability to individualise the sound via the app, to maximise sound quality also caters for those with some hearing loss.I have used these buds in place of ear muffs when using loud machinery. The ANC does a great job to cut down the noise. This is probably not their intended use but but if you can't find your ear muffs, and you need to use a chainsaw, whatcha gonna do?The only downfall that I have experienced is on occasion they can come loose in the ears and need adjustment.I highly recommend this product.

"Upgraded" to the 85T from the Active 75T. Not a good decision. The main problem is that they don't fit as snug in the ear. Any major movement while wearing them (running, cycling or a brisk walk) will knock them free. They buds are slightly bigger and heavier so they hangout of the ear more than the 75's - so the size of the silicon tips doesn't matter. The next negative is that the case is obviously of a lesser quality, the lid is garbage - I'll be surprised if it stays on very long and I take care of my things.I've been using Jabra for years, this might be the thing that makes me switch to another brand.
I went from a Skullcandy Ink'd+ Wireless In-Ear Headphones to the Jabra Elite 85t as my first pair of true wireless earbuds, hence this was supposed to be quite a significant upgrade. However after having these for a couple weeks, I am finding more cons than pros with the product. Pros: The ANC is fantastic! When out for a walk, I often find that it almost blocks out all noise when listening to music. At times, I even felt it may be dangerous when I have ANC set to the max settings, as I couldn't even hear cars zooming past me. The hear-through feature is handy to have, as I'm able to have a conversation while still wearing the earbuds (manners aside). The hear-through feature is handy to have, as I'm able to have a conversation while still wearing the earbuds (manners aside). Cons: 1) The earbuds are not that great a fit, where I always felt the need to adjust them or correct its positioning. Truthfully, they fit well enough that they won't fall out unless I'm violently shaking my head or something along that line. 2) The microphones aren't great for phone call... I've receive complaints each time I make a call, that they hear too much background noise over my voice (even after I disable the sidetone feature, which is its audio feedback feature on by default). I've gotten to the point where i just don't use the earbuds for calls 3) The right-earbud is the main earpiece that's connected for mono playback. The left ear piece cannot be used if its too far from the right earpiece (roughly 20-30 cm distance). 3) The earbuds have frequent connectivity issues, where I'd be listening to music and sound just drops for a split second. I've also noticed that the left earpiece would get interference (hearing static noises) when I walk past the anti-theft sensors at the entrances of stores (I was able replicate this 100% of the time walking past JB HIFI). Overall for me personally, the Jabra Elite 85t was a neat but overly expensive device. My old pair of Skullcandy Ink'd+ Wireless In-Ear Headphones, had more day to day use for a 5th of the price.
I’ve had the Jabra 85t Elite earbuds for a bit over a week now and in my opinion they are a very impressive set of wireless earbuds.Out of the box they were easy to connect to my phone and set up with the Sound+ app from Jabra. The app also identified that I need to try the large size ear tips to improve the fit in my ears and the associated active noise cancelling effects. As for the sounds quality, I listen to a combination of podcasts, audio books and music (more on the pop music spectrum) and the sound quality is pretty amazing. I've bought quite a few different sets of headphones/earbuds over the years (from the inexpensive to well known top dollar brands) and these would have to be one of the best on the market right now.I was sceptical that active noise ... MoreI’ve had the Jabra 85t Elite earbuds for a bit over a week now and in my opinion they are a very impressive set of wireless earbuds.Out of the box they were easy to connect to my phone and set up with the Sound+ app from Jabra. The app also lets you adjust the level of noise cancelling which is a great feature. The quality of calls is pretty good as well, although I don’t make or receive that many calls. The Sound+ app is easy to use and allows you to personalise a whole range of features on each earbud. Battery life seems to be really great as well.At the time of writing this I haven’t used them for anything longer than my commute to the office (about 50mins) but with earbuds and the compact case they live in I've been using them for days without having to recharge them.Overall I’m very happy with my 85t earbuds in all aspects - build quality, sounds quality, active noise cancelling and personalisation of features.
I bought these a couple of months ago and I love them. They have a great sound profile - take the time to set it up in the Jabra Sound+ app. They are a little heavy in the ear but I don't wear them all day so I don't know know if they will hurt after a while. I have had a couple of days of heavy use and it didn't bother me. People often tell me how clear I sound which is actually quite rare for wireless buds. Great Mic. I also use them for online gaming and everyone say they can hear me very clearly. That's why I went with these over other ones. I wirelessly charge the case on my phone and have never one run out of battery. I don't feel like the battery life of the buds or the case is low. They have a very premium feel in their charging case. After using Jabra Evolve 75e (neckband style) for 3 years, I decided to upgrade to wireless buds. Big mistake. I have had the 85Ts for 3 weeks and keep discovering problems.1. The fit - I have rather small ears and have to be very selective with headphones. As a previous Jabra owner and after reading reviews I thought I would be safe because of the different sized gel tips. Unfortunately the weight of the earbud itself leaves you with a constant feeling that the bud will fall out (it eventually makes it way out of my ear if it doesn't directly fall out. The bulk of the device makes it uncomfortable to wear for even short periods of time. The fact that you *must* use the right ear bud at all times (I.e. you cannot use the left earbud only) exacerbates these ... MoreAfter using Jabra Evolve 75e (neckband style) for 3 years, I decided to upgrade to wireless buds. The bulk of the device makes it uncomfortable to wear for even short periods of time. The fact that you *must* use the right ear bud at all times (I.e. you cannot use the left earbud only) exacerbates these comfort/fit issues.2. Connectivity - Jabra claims to be able to connect to two devices simultaneously. I am constantly having to connect and disconnect the earbuds from my phone; earbuds are not automatically recognised by my laptop for audio output (music, Zoom calls etc.). Moving from laptop to phone for a call is impossible without manually connecting the device each time making it unusable for business.3. Audio quality - big claims from Jabra about the audio quality with the use of Sound+ app. The app is useless with my iPhone (e.g cannot customise or switch between sound profiles) and cannot be used with a laptop. I am sceptical that an android phone would change the experience. The microphone is rather weak for video/teleconferencing, and my partner complains of background noise during standard calls, even if sitting still in a quiet room (let alone a noisy office or outdoor environment). Noise cancelling works well, but it is not easy to cycle through ANC/hear through/off modes as with my previous Jabra gear.I do like the sleek case design.Overall I am severely disappointed in this product, especially considering the premium price point. I should have bought AirPods.
I previously had a jabra active 75t and the only difference between this version and the older one is that the airbuds are more comfortable in the ear (probably more safer too?), audio has improved quite a lot, ANC is very shockingly effective to take out any sound that can be irritating you especially. However, the biggest problems I have found with this airbud that bugs me quite a LOT is that its lifespan is so bad, it only lasts 3 hours on average on full charge compared to the previous airbud which would last for so much longer, like over 6 hours as far as it felt. These airbuds just turn off so quickly, and their speakers are so bad too, my voice literally turned robotic in one incident (which was hilarious but ??) on a zoom call. It also turns off pretty fast ... MoreI previously had a jabra active 75t and the only difference between this version and the older one is that the airbuds are more comfortable in the ear (probably more safer too?), audio has improved quite a lot, ANC is very shockingly effective to take out any sound that can be irritating you especially. It also turns off pretty fast when you use microphone obviously, but really fast. These airbuds are not that great, which is why I can see that they offer it so much. Also I constantly experiene cackling noises sometimes, which I NEVER had with the previous airbuds, it's literally not that great as people claim it to be.
Overall this product is amazing. It’s survived Navy recruit school and nearly every thing under the sun and only has 1 scuff to the case. After having these earphones for almost 2 years now I am glad to say they are still going strong! The ANC feature works wonders, noisey workshop, house, bus or wherever the ANC blocks almost all of it out which is great when you are in a loud environment most of the day and can’t be bothered carrying a large bulky pair of headphones. The sound is definitely worth it especially with ANC ON, it can put up a good competition against more expensive headphones like Sony xm4 and Boss headphones. The pairing app has great features like adjustable ANC and hear-through, plus it also tells you what size ear piece would fit your ears ... MoreOverall this product is amazing.
