Overall they are good now I am used to them, and they integrate really well with Teams. The control button on the chord is a good feature; a lot better than with my old Logitech Bluetooth headset (but then the chord is a bit of a nuisance). There are a few niggles as below.- The top of the headband is quite firm, so can be uncomfortable on the top of ones head with prolonged use- The ear pieces amplify background noises (kid of like putting a sea shell to your ear). No sound-deadening foam, but then again they might last longer.- Side tone (feedback from microphone to ear phones) is quite high if mic is right next to your mouth, but this can be adjusted.- Have the occasional high pitched distortion when using with Skype. I use this headset every day. It's very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, I know that because sometimes I might go as long as 6 hours with it on and it still feels fine. Sound quality is also great, both while making calls through VOIP and listening to music while I work. The microphone is very high quality and i often have people specifically mention how clear I sound while on calls. The only slight issue is that when moving the mic from the standby position to use it, it picks up quite a lot of noise, so you'll need to mute the mic before you do this.I like the fact that you can use it with USB for PC and with a standard audio jack, although when you detatch the USB part you do lose the mute function. The controller is nice and easy to use, you can ... MoreI use this headset every day. Having a busy light is another nice touch. One thing I'm especially impressed with is the strength of the cable. I've caught it on things a few times now and it's still working fine. The earpads have a tilt mechanism in there for added comfort, which is probably why I prefer these to all the other headsets I've used over the years.

I have owned a pair of Jabra BIZ 2400's for about 5-6 years now. They were starting to wear out so I thought I'll upgrade to the Jabra EVOLVE 40. I opened the package and immediately they felt cheaply made. I plug them and put them on and the microphone is pretty much in your mouth with no way to adjust it outward. Then the worst, most garbage part was when I used them...the sound quality is worse than... well I don't even know what they're worse than. It's just total garbage. I was so disappointed, especially after 5 years of loving my old Jabra headsets. Just sad at how cheap they feel and how horrific the sound quality is, all while trying not to choke on the mic that's against your mouth.

Good experience for me
25 May 2022

It is the second time that I bought this Jabra Evole 40. With the first one I was happy to use it until I made a mistake by pulling the cable while it was connected to my computer. The jack was broken from that moment, and this is the reason I bought a new one. I have used it for about two years, and I was satisfied with it. The only negative point for me is the usb connection. I could not do any registration once I trie it, but since I have never use it this part did not bother me.

Great headphones... almost perfect

Having used these almost constantly for a few weeks now they have been excellent. Long periods of use (3-4 hours at a time) do not fatigue the ears at all - they are very comfortable. I have a large head and I have maxed out the available adjustment in the head band - they fit me well, however I would not want to have an even larger cranium or they might struggle to fit me properly ;)A handy feature (refer image below) is the red circle that illuminates on the side of the earpiece that contains the mic when I am on a call to alert others not to disturb. The circle does not illuminate when listening to music. One issue I have had is that they don't seem to be recognised when the PC starts up. Jabra EVOLVE 40 Headset

I needed a better microphone for online meetings and training video creation. I was unaware of the background noise that my "old" headset introduced. I looked around and found some very expensive headsets and some that emphasized BASS. I came across this Jabra headset at a much more reasonable cost. I was a little surprised that it has a USB "puck" as well as the 3.5mm connector. The 3.5mm for my phone and the USB puck for the laptop where the video creation occurs. (I found that the 3.5mm connector in the laptop recorded one side but not stereo. The puck resolved that issue)There is no perceptible background noise and the sound quality from the microphone is good. The headset ear pieces are comfortable but after a while my ears start to hurt and I have to move them around.Overall, for the price, these were a good choice and I would recommend them if your requirements are not for constant wearing. I am happy with my selection.

Jabra Evolve 40 MS Mono **USB-C** And Mobile Corded Headset
2 October 2022

I have had an operation to remove a cancer on my vocal chord and have had one chord removed which has left me with a soft, raspy voice. I am not easy to understand on the phone and people give up. I’ve tried various solutions and my family tell me that the Jabra Evolve gives the best result. Automated systems still can’t understand me so I am willing to be your Guinea pig if you have any other ideas.

Small plastic connection keeps snapping
7 February 2023

I have bought this headset twice already, and both times the ear piece has snapped off while wearing. There is a small plastic connection from the ear to the headband, that small like a tube like shape. I am truely confused how this keeps happening especially with the price. i also get kicked off my computer sound 1x per day and no one can hear me until the driver resets. not sure if the driver is missing updates..... I actually recommended this headset to a friend thinking this issue was a one off. Now it happeneded again. she states that she is going to be very careful with hers

This was an amazing headset for 17 months and then it fell apart
8 May 2020

I bought this product for work in Dec 2018 and it was absolutely amazing and versatile up until May 2020. Best headset I bought, and I bought a few until landing on this one. It could plug into USB or 3.5 to make calls, which was amazing. However, in May 2020 the USB part connected/disconnected about 30 times while I was on a call rapidly, within 5 seconds, and then it could never connect again via USB. Tried multiple computers, restarts, driver loads, etc. the USB had gone to lunch. It was not that bad as I still had the 3.5mm connection, so I used that for another 2 weeks, the cord on that part is very short so I had to keep within 6 feet of the computer at all time but after 2 weeks, the earpiece disconnected from the band and it was not the ear piece with the ... MoreI bought this product for work in Dec 2018 and it was absolutely amazing and versatile up until May 2020. What is worse, Jabra has a 2 year warranty on this product on their site but Staples said they only have a 1 year warranty, still working through it but hopefully I am not out of luck as it should be a quality product with a longer life than this. 5 out of 5 rating if you need it for less than 17 months - 1 out of 5 if you thought you and the headset could grow old together.

Works great! Headset only -- no USB dongle!
28 September 2021

This is the headset only -- by design! At the time I purchased (Sept 2021), it's half the price of the other listings for Jabra Evolve 40 on Office Depot, and it mentions only 3.5mm connectivity -- the others mention USB. If you already have the Jabra USB dongle (or you don't care about the control dongle) this saves you some money. The 3.5mm plug on my old headset broke when the device it was attached to fell to the floor. I didn't need a new USB dongle, just a new headset, so this was perfect -- why pay for a new whole package when all you need is a new headset? But that's why it's cheaper -- it's a replacement headset only. Look at all the listings and it's pretty clear
