I love this thing.Pros: - Acts as a standard USB audio device, making it plug-and-play compatible with any OS, and even your smartphone with an adapter. - Bluetooth pairing works very well, and can be toggled at the touch of a button. - Audio quality isnt as good as my wired PC headset (I wouldnt expect that from a speakerphone), but its way better than my phones earpiece/mic or speakerphone functions. The sound quality is clear and there have been no complaints about my voice clarity on the other end of calls. The unit plugs and plays with PC/laptop without the need for driver installation and automatically takes over from your inbuilt speakers (great if your admin has restricted software installs to your work laptop). Secondly, disappointingly I found that the USB cable is hard-wired into the speaker and not user changeable. As the most vulnerable part of this kit and the first thing likely to fail, you cannot simply replace a failed or damaged cable without factoring in the cost and inconvenience of a repair. I leave the inbuilt cable wrapped around the unit base and instead use a 3rd party extension cable from the plug to the laptop to hopefully reduce the risk. Not ideal, but at least my extension will get the wear and tear and this is replaceable.Overall a solid piece of kit and glad I purchased despite the negative points mentioned above.

I actually haven't tested this, it's a gift. But I have my own. Just plug in USB or use Bluetooth and it seamlessly becomes your speaker and microphone for phone calls, Teams, Zoom etc. The sound is clear, never any issues, the person at the other end always gets great sound even when I am wandering around the room. It also seems to get rid of all background noises like fans etc. Really can't fault it, been using it daily since March 2020.

The speaker is plug and play as far as the laptoppc goes, mine just worked, I doubled checked the settings in Skype and it automatically picked up the speaker, for Bluetooth like any other device it has to be paired, I have paired and used it with a Samsung Note 5, S5, OnePlus2 without issues. On the top of the speaker there are touch controls for volume, mute, startend call, LEDS on the top indicate the volume level, a white LED comes on when its switched on, when paired with Bluetooth and additional blue light comes on. The speaker has spoken instructions and tells you when it turns it has connected to something. It is has rechargeable battery and is very portable and is supplied with a neoprene type zip case, the USB cable wraps around the speaker and latches so there arnt any annoying trailing cables.

Not just of the people you talk with, but also of you when you talk. There is no echo that is caused when I speak through the speakerphone to people on the line. I have never gotten any comments back from anyone that it is difficult to hear in fact, it has been just the opposite. Most people I talked to after I first got this device commented on how clear and easy it is to understand compared to other people. My husband even used it to do remote music teaching during the pandemic. The quality of the sound was still good despite the louder volume. This is the best speakerphone that I have found in this price range, but it is not perfect. Without a doubt sound quality is better on all speakerphones when they are connected by a cable rather than bluetooth. This unit is no different. It would be nice if the unit came with a 2-3m cable connection rather than the 1m that it has. Other than that - it is the best speakerphone in the sub-$500 range.

I needed it when making Skype/whatsapp calls with my phone when talking to grand parents. When the kids make noise and talk it is sometimes difficult to hear the other end as they get cut off so I thought this Jabra Speak would solve it as it says it is full-duplex. However it does not work in full duplex (i.e. sound should) so it is not better than using the phone. I think they are enough for a fairly quiet office or room, but with kids around or in a noisier office or factory they are sometimes not powerful enough or on the limit.It's quite easy to use, but it is more work than using the smartphones built in mic/speaker of course. And you have to go find the thing and you have to connect the bluetooth and you have to have it charged and you have to carry it around together with the phone if you want to move around in the room/house. If you are more than 2-3 meters from the Jabra Speak no one will hear you. If you use video the sound will also come from another direction than the video if the Jabra and the smartphone are not right next to each other which can be a bit weird especially for kids.
