Jack Daniel's Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey 200ml

(8,903 reviews)

Old No. 7 is the iconic Tennessee Whiskey that made Jack Daniel's distillery known around the world. It is made from a "mash" of corn, rye and barley that respects the recipe developed by the founder himself, to which is added the purest water of a spring that gushes three kilometers deep. The process therefore involves filtration with activated carbon and aging in handcrafted barrels until the ideal moment, established by Jack Daniel's Master Distillers. Amber-colored whiskey, it strikes for its sweet hints of candy and vanilla, on which smoky and aging notes are grafted. In the mouth it is characterized by the right balance between sweet and woody flavor and by a sparkling and incomparable personality. To be tried with ice, it lends itself to mixing cocktails such as Honey & Ginger and Lynchbourg Lemonade.

Ive never liked Jack Daniels, or Tennessee whiskey. I hate to admit it, but this is beautiful. Theres a slight hint of something that always brings banana nut bread to mind. It doesnt taste exactly like that, but theres a hint of something in the background that reminds me of that. Im not good at describing tasting notes, but this has all the qualities of a perfect bourbon, with none of the issues that make me dislike the entrylevel Jack Daniels whiskey. If I didnt know better, I might even think this could be from Kentucky. Its that good. And look at that bottle. Just look at it. Buy some right now. Or leave more for me. Im cool with either one.

Jack Daniels used to be all the rage when I was younger. But as time goes on you realise it's not the most special drink in the world. It's a typical American whisky. Would be a bourbon but I don't believe it's made in the right state. If only they tried to do something different. I guess they do have there charcoal filtering but that's about it really. Nothing special, can probably find the same quality of drink for cheaper else where.

When you are looking for smooth, delicious, whiskey drink, guys, grab a bottle of Jack Daniels old #7. I have enjoyed several whiskeys to get the perfect drink of choice for me, and nothing, nothing, I’ll repeat again, nothing beats the finest Tennessee whiskey, Jack Daniels. His name is big because it’s the good stuff. I’m not an alcoholic, in fact I don’t drink often, handful of times a year I’ll enjoy a couple of drinks in an adult fashion. Jack is always my go to choice.

Ah, good old Jack. Well-made, and very popular - one can’t go wrong with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 sour mash whiskey 🄃. It is smooth and easy to drink. My husband drinks this a couple of nights a week on the rocks. For the Jack Daniel’s lover, a trip to the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee is a must. The distillery has a storied history, and the whiskey-tasting at the end is a lot of fun!

Best Whiskey for the Money

I used to buy Gentleman Jack because it cost more and has a cool looking bottle. Then I realized that I like regular Jack Daniels better. Gentleman Jack may be a bit smoother, but I think regular Jack Daniels has a better, more robust flavor. I don’t even need ice with it. Regular Jack (black) is my favorite whiskey in this price range.

First thing to say is that this is my first ever review on Ocado despite years of purchasing. I felt compelled to review to say how lovely and refreshing this drink is. The original JD is one of our favourite drinks. It is just one of those drinks I would order in a bar when I am not sure what I fancy as it never lets me down, always with a coke mixer. However, we saw this on offer (?25 from ?32) and thought we would give the Apple one a try. All I can say is 'Wow'. It smells like crisp Apple's fresh from being picked and the texture of it is so smooth that we have really enjoyed drinking it neat, in a short glass with a big cube of ice (note - get yourself some silicone ice moulds). When lockdown is over, I am looking forward to going to a bar and finishing off an evening with a JD Apple on the rocks. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Trouble is, I am going to have to purchase the other ones now too aren't i!?

Number Seven, Jack Black, or just Jack Daniel’s; I’ve never heard it called Jack Daniel’s Black.Jack Daniel’s is a classic, and almost in it’s own category.Stars are subjective- this is NOT a top-of-the-line-hand-crafted-small-batch-organically-sourced-artisinal-bourbon. I bought the Bourbon of the Month club for my Father-in-law and was pleased with the items shipped so I decided to purchase an additional subscription for my husband. Twice! So we are now three time subscribers to this club. I am not sure what happened but the last club purchase in March, for my husband's birthday will be the last. My husband was sent Wild Turkey Longbranch Whiskey for his second shipment. I can find this at local liquor store without issue. How is this considered top quality, hard to find? I emailed customer service and was promised a high-end final shipment. My husband received a final shipment of Calumet Farm Bourben Whiskey which retails for $45.00. This is high end? Again, I can find this anywhere. Another email to customer service. I was referred to their inflated prices on their website where they are charging $550.00 for a $70.00 bottle of Blanton's (which is pictured in their premium Bourbon club that I purchased) and $99.00 for the $45.00 bottle of bourbon that I received. Needless to say, I encourage you to keep shopping for a Bourbon of the Month Club and pass this one up. The value and service is not what you expect.

What can I say about Jack? He never lets you down. He listens. He’s Jack from This is Us who runs into a burning house to get your cat or dog. I never drink this straight cuz Jack likes to mingle. A Coke, ginger ale, and if you’re feeling adventurous. Get your hands on a Faygo Rock ā€˜n Rye and thank me later.
