JD Bonded is everything that old #7 should be. The nose is maple sugar, candy, marshmallow, vanilla, banana, and more. The palate brings the same as the nose but more intense. There is also some oak, and even a bit of s’mores that comes through. The finish is LONG! This is where the spice comes through along with a wonderfully warm hug. Just amazing.Jack Daniel’s has done us all a fantastic service by offering this Bonded and the Triple Mash at a very affordable price. The Triple Mash is VERY different than the Bonded but is also just as good. Both are 50% ABV and neither is harsh in any way. Smooth as silk.A drop of water brings out a bit more sweetness and brings out more banana. It’s still terrific, but I prefer it neat. It could not have been better! I selected 4 bottles of a great Bourbon that I was having trouble finding and was super excited to see it at Quality Liquor Store. I received the bottles in just a few days. Everything was packed tightly and arrived safely. Perfect experience all around, highly recommend!

So different than classic JD Old7 which I’m not big fan.You can feel 100proof, strong smell which goes away after a while and stay on your throat.I just love it and nothing can bit that price range - worth every panny!Bought many bottles already for future because that whiskey will go away quickly.

...but I would not buy it solely on the basis of being a bottle in Bond fan. Yes the whiskey does have some added warmth & balance attributable to many BIB expressions, however just not $30 for 70cl worth. Better BIB expressed whiskeys are on the shelf for less $. Only worthwhile for Jack. Daniels superfans.
I had to try it because it is bottled in bond, and 100 proof. I do love Old Overhold Bonded Rye so I expected the same quality. The JD Bonded is OK, really nothing special. Maybe a little smoother but I did not taste anything special. It is also overpriced for what you're getting. It's $10 more, and you get 50 ml less than if you bought JD No.7. In my humble opinion, it's just not worth that price.
I'm not a huge Jack fan, but this tastes great. I'm about halfway through, and will buy it again. But where is the extra 50ml? When I picked it up, it felt like a tiny bottle lol. Price is still good for the quality though. I like BIB whiskeys, and think this is one of the better ones I've had. Look forward to trying their new triple mash when it comes available in my area too.
I'm a Jack girl. Always have been, the old classic #7My best friend bought me a bottle of the single barrel bonded 100 proof for my birthday, and I will never be the same. It is rich with flavor, smooth and powerful it gives the palate a trip of peace. Out of all the Jack's I have drank, this is now my number#1 favorite. I will stock my cabinet with this from now on.
I liked the OG jack as a young adult. But switched to Gentlemen Jack when it came out then to single barrel. This one in my opinion is better then to og. But not single barrel. But that's not the point here, it a good middle ground between them. Smooth enough with just a bit more flavor the then og.
JD is not a palate pleaser, and is normally a mere whiskey to mix with other ingredients so it cannot be easily tasted. However, this Bonded is an exception. It would rank between No 7 and Gentlemen as far as smoothness. As far as flavor, it exceeds both of these and has a multi layered profile, and I think is quite good.
I have no idea if this deserves to be the #1 whiskey (as per Whiskey Advocate) but it is definitely sweet and delicious and a good deal for the price. I love higher proof whiskeys for their more potent flavors and JD BIB delivers by my standards. It is smooth enough to drink neat, and it does not disappoint when you add a bit of water either, in fact a bit of water enhances the flavors, perhaps because its 50% ABV dulls my tastebuds? If you love bourbon you will not be disappointed!

Jack Daniel's is the brand name of a Tennessee whiskey from the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA. Jack Daniel's Distillery was officially founded in 1866. A few years later, the distillery moved to its current location to be closer to Jack Daniel's main resource: Spring Hollow's mineral-rich cave. Attention to detail in the making of whiskey begins with making your own charcoal to filter. It has the perfect blend of corn, rye and barley. Most importantly, this filtering process allows the whiskey to soak for about twelve days drop by drop through an approximately three meter thick layer of charcoal, which is produced on the premises of the distillery from sugar maple. This gives the whiskey its unforgettable and unique taste. The aim of bottling is to revive authentic whiskeys from this period. Jack Daniel's Bonded Tennessee Whiskey is distilled in a single still, distilled in a single season and aged in hand-selected casks for a minimum of four years. The 100 proof bottle single cask has a multi-layered texture of intense, robust and fruity notes of oak, charcoal and spicy raisins. Vanilla, cinnamon and orange bitters provide a gentle balance.
