The Jackall Chubby suspending hard-body lure is one that every serious estuary angler should have in the arsenal. This small, floating lure can be cast up onto the top of a rock bar and slowly worked back over the rocks, bouncing and making plenty of noise to attract those feeding fish. Or you can work the lure down to half a metre, and then slowly roll it back. This is where the suspending lure will come into its own. Let the lure pause, and then after a short time give the rod tip a tweak to attract the attention of the fish. Another technique is to once again pause the lure during the retrieve, and then give the rod a shape jerk, then stop. The bites from the fish are mind-blowing at times. A word of warning here - beef up leaders so that you can muscle the fish out from line cutting rocks.
