Excellent looking guitar. Arrived in mint condition. Not a scratch or dent on it. As delivered, the guitar can be played (after being tuned) right out of the box. However, I decided to swap out the pickups and tremolo system. I had read many reviews for this guitar that indicated that the tremolo was sub-par and would not stay in tune. The majority of people who had this issue swapped out the OEM R3 nut with a Floyd Rose Original and a set of Hetfield EMG pick ups.

Jackson JS34 bargain shredder would be hard to beat at any price point. Many features, like the double locking FR licensed trem and nut, best feature is the maple neck, thin, fast, jumbo frets, smooth and easy on the fingers, guitar practically plays itself. Not the best pickups, but have to go way more expensive to beat them. And, the arched top, mahogany wood oil finish and black hardware is just beautiful. Get ready to dive bomb and make all those weird noises only a Floyd can do. Recommend this guitar, lots of fun. Never had a Jackson before but find myself playing it the most.

Good mod platform needs work to shine.

Bought for something different from my Strats. Had 2 to choose from in stock, the other one had a badly bowed neck and was unplayable. The natural finish one I bought had rough frets (ends and surface). Badly needing work. The Floyd Rose is good and stays in tune well, but it's cheap. The tuning machines are awful, but not super important (locking nut). The pickups are pretty harsh-sounding and lack much clarity. That said the pots and switch work well, no urgent need to change them. The neck compound radius feels good. Now the good. While still not as good as my U.S.A. Strats and Les Paul, it's a great value with about $650 invested overall.TLDR: Good starter axe, but really needs simple upgrades.

And also buying this guitar with the mindset you will probably have to do a full setup on your brand new guitar (hope you know your way around a floyd rose). A bad buy if you are looking to have a 100% no issues guitar out of the box. Very bad as a present to a new guitar player DO NOT BUY FOR THE NOOBIE. The quality check just isn't there with these Chinese Jacksons unfortunately. Only buy if you really don't have enough money to buy a more expensive jackson and you regret selling or breaking your old jackson just like me or maybe you played one back in the day, or yours was stolen etc. and you are ok with putting some elbow grease and a few extra bucks into the guitar to make it what you originally wanted out of a jackson. I really do hope this review helps you guys. It's worth the buy to the right person and with all that is said, I do not have regrets, but if I were to do it over again, if i'm being honest, I would look at another jackson with a better track record and save up.

Great Machine if You Know How to Use it!
29 February 2020

I own 3 of these JS32 DKAs, as well as 2 of its non-archtop predecessors, plus several other Jacksons To point, I think these are fantastic guitars, and, at their price, I find them awesome to own - easy and fun to play! There are minor cons, but, overall, these are one of the best buys on the market, particularly for a niche that isn't as common as might have been decades back. Simply, this is an awesome looking, awesome feeling guitar that has many playable bells and whistles that a rock shredder would want to explore: Gorgeous, fast feeling 24 fret necks (with binding which predecessor did not have), great looking, nice weighted body, Floyd system (which scares some off, but, really, there's nothing better for staying in tune once you learn how to use them). The reason I own 3 of these: combination of great feel, easiness of play plus excellent tuning stability/lock - makes you want to pick them up and play all the time. Each of the 3 I've got is different colour, and I set them to specific tunings, so I grab the one in the tuning I want and they're great! The trems keep them locked in tune awesome, and I can shred for everything I wish; they are very reliable. Now, in fairness, here's the cons: My orange and flamed ones came in set well, but I don't think I've ever needed to adjust factory setup more on any guitar than I had to on the natural finish one I got. It was, ridiculous how far the factory setup was out: Truss and intonation. But, hey, took the time to set it up, tweaked it again a few days later, and it's now not only stayed perfect since - it's honestly become one of the nicest daily players I've ever owned. The pickups - sure, go for higher output for recording, but they sound nice enough for basic play. Trem - licensed Floyd, so not as pristine as real Floyds for heavy trem diving, but stays in tune excellent for general play. The real advantages with these is the necks and bodies both feel fantastic, and they stay in tune great.

I love jackson guitars. I recently purchased the js32 and not being picky at all. First thing out of the box, impressed that it was really close to in tune yet immediately it had fret buzz, Could see runs in the paint as well. Ended up adjusting the truss rod, to help with fret buzz, adjusting the bridge to combat overly high action then adjusting springs in the back to compensate. By the time i had done that i also had to run the pick-ups way down due to strings touching. Literally nothing left un-adjusted in order to make it playable compared to their higher dollar guitars. 2 hours into it i could enjoy it. I think i blame fender takeover. I bought this guitar to serve as a backup while my main guitar, an Ibanez Premium RG1070FM, is gone several weeks for warranty repair. I needed a practice guitar with the same scale length and double-locking tremolo, and after three days, it's doing great. It's my first guitar with a poplar body, and tonally it seems similar to basswood but slightly brigher; this combination of woods and pickups makes the guitar nice for mid-heavy soloing without sounding brittle. The neck and fretboard rivals guitars costing three times as much, like the Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HH FR I had. The neck joint and heel is less clunky than the Charvel's when it comes to reaching frets 19-24; although playing the upper frets is better on the JS32DKA, I still prefer the All-Access Neck Joint ... MoreI bought this guitar to serve as a backup while my main guitar, an Ibanez Premium RG1070FM, is gone several weeks for warranty repair. The neck joint and heel is less clunky than the Charvel's when it comes to reaching frets 19-24; although playing the upper frets is better on the JS32DKA, I still prefer the All-Access Neck Joint on late model Ibanez RGs. I've been an Ibanez RG devotee for 23 years, but thanks to the JS32DKA, I'll give Jackson guitars serious consideration when I'm in the market for a gigging gutiar. I'm thinking Soloist SL2 or SL3.A few negative:1. There was too much play in the tremolo arm, despite the inner hex screw and arm collar being fully tightened. Sadly, I've played enough entry-level guitars to know that this is a fact of life. I had spare parts, so I replaced the arm socket with and arm with Floyd Rose branded one I had lying around. The collar still needs to be tightened down after every song, but the socket itself no longer wobbles in the base plate when you pull or push the bar.2. My bridge pickup squeals with moderate gain dialed in on my Blackstar HT Club 40 MKII amp. I have DiMarzio pickups on my Ibanez and Seymour Duncans in my Schecter, and I get no feedback with those guitars; this leads me to believe the stock pickups in the JS32 are not wax potted to prevent feedback.

This guitar is very affordable, and it has many interesting and attractive features. The guitar was in need of some slight adjustments, specially in the FR bridge (which might not be the best implementation of the system, but is perfectly operable nonetheless). It sounds perfectly fine too, but to be honest, the most prominent characteristic are the striking aesthetic qualities. The looks. This is a truly gorgeous guitar, beautiful shape with vibrant colors. It's really a treat. It's worth every € just for that IMHO.If you add great handling, and the super nice jackson neck (one of the most comfortable and fast neck designs out there)... I just can't complain. So, summarizing, this is a decent sounding well built and wonderfully looking instrument.

Sweet little beast for a starter guitar
13 October 2021

I have several guitars in a range of quality, and saw this on an Open Box deal during Rocktober. I tried to resist, thinking I was probably going to get a dud and that I don't really need any more guitars, but I'm glad I bought this little beast. I haven't even plugged it in yet and have been falling in love with the fast fretboard and the deep cutaway that grants amazing access to all 24 frets. I wish I'd had something like this in this price range when I first started playing guitar.Keep in mind this is basically an entry level guitar. The neck doesn't sit perfectly flush with the cutout of the body, but not so bad that it's a technical issue - just a bit of a cosmetic issue - maybe a 10th of a millimeter on each side . The finish is a bit sketchy around the inside of the slot for the pickup selector switch and a few other tiny spots, but overall is nice and smooth and glossy. It has a nice solid heft to it and the tremolo system and locking nut are very solid and it stays in tune very well even with a bit of a thrashing on the tremolo bar.Ultimately, this isn't a show-piece and it probably wouldn't last through too many gigs, but this would be an absolutely perfect starter guitar for a beginner guitarist that wants to learn to shred. This guitar won't get in the way of learning technique and building speed and coordination, and it might even get some compliments on its looks.Again, not a masterpiece, but a great guitar for the price-range. Fun to play - structurally solid, nice looking, built for speed.

I cant recommend it enough for its sound quality, the feel, the neck... Which delivers the ability to lay out staccato solos and speed riffs that are insane!! Even the hardware, which I admit, feels like it is cheap made at first, but take it from me, it has strolled thru every ounce of hard playing and abuse I could deliver any instrument and sounds like the day I opened it, also I believe the way the hardware is made helps it deliver the amazing tone and definitely the feel of this guitar. Ive got a huge black tooth grin on my face every time i pick it up and plug it in. Rock on!!
