Let me begin by saying that new Jackson guitars these days are very overpriced; and I would never pay the full retail price for one. However, I got this one for a little over $500, in mint condition, and I think that is a fair price. It is a great guitar overall. The finish, of course, is beautiful, and there was much attention to detail. The frets are jumbo, and pretty level, but it will soon be getting a professional grade fret level/polish in my back room, as I do with all my new guitars. The pickups are pretty good, and they really don't need to be upgraded at all; however, I do have some EMG 81s, which suit me even better, and I will be replacing the bridge pickup with one of them. The bridge is a Floyd Rose Special, which to me is excellent, and I still cannot ... The bridge is a Floyd Rose Special, which to me is excellent, and I still cannot tell the difference between the Korean made FRS and the German made FR Original that costs more than twice as much. They both work very well, stay in tune, and do everything that I need them to do, from dive bombs to fluttering to subtle tremolo. The bar stays in place nicely, or can be adjusted so that it hangs freely. I also really like the matching headstock on this guitar, and the logo is very well done, and stands out nicely. And also the satin finish on the famous and awesome Jackson neck makes for very comfortable playing. Of all the guitars I have ever played, there is none that has a neck so nice and comfortable to play as a Jackson, from the low end JS series, all the way to the pro series. Jackson necks, with the 12-16" compound radius, are simply the best, in my humble opinion. I really like this guitar overall. It is very fun to play, and has no downsides that I can think of at all. 5 stars. :)

I have had this guitar about a week now. I love the neck it is smooth and plays really well. Fast action. The pickups are great I was curious about the Jackson branded active and how they would sound. Perfect pickups for high gain very tight sounding no mud. The one thing, some people who dislike the Brand that uses the 81/85 might not like the Jackson pickups, Or people who prefer passive pickups. The pickups do remind me of the 81/85's but a tad brighter. After a quick setup to my liking it plays really great. I did have to spray a little Deoxit in the pickups switch it had some dust effecting it but the spray cleaned it.

I'm trying to get a return lable from reverb and get no response
Overall:A solid guitar, everything you would expect from a Jackson. It's a midline guitar for them, but with a quality and playability that exceeds many other brands "high-end" guitars.A side note...bought it in slime green....in person, the color is a little different than what I expected, more of a kelly green than a fluorescent .....not a bad thing, just something to be aware of.3 stars on manufacturer support only because I've never had to deal with them, so I can't say
I've had this only a couple days, but I absolutely love it. I've never been disappointed with a Jackson, and this is no different. At first I didn't like the gloss finish on the back of the guitar, particularly on the neck, as I felt like it slowed my left hand down. But after a couple sessions, I realized it was just a small adjustment to make it feel like my hand wasn't sticking, and now it feels lightning fast, like I'm accustomed to with Jackson. Obviously, you could spend more money, but for this price, the guitar sounds fantastic. It really shines playing thrash, sounds bright and the harmonics are good too. I would highly recommend for a mid range guitar. Looking forward to getting the winter camo, but come on Jackson, why is that the only model that doesn't ...
