About Jamis Trail X A2 2022The Trails are Calling. Building great recreational-level bikes that ride much like their high-end bikes is a passion at Jamis. No bikes showcase their commitment to do just that better than these. The Trail X chassis emphasizes all-day performance with quick, but not overly twitchy handling attributes. Make no mistake though, if you want to throw down they’re more than able to keep up. FeaturesFrame Materials: Trail X features lightweight and strong 6061 series aluminum tubing, featuring over-sized & tapered tubing for increased frame stiffness. Upgrades/Changes from 2021Tektro M275 brakes Sunrace cassette Shimano M315 shifters About JamisJamis was named after founder Ron Jamis and founded in Tallahassee, Florida in 1937 and is now owned by American company G. Joannou Cycle Co. After living in the UK and then moving to the United States, George Joannou noticed that at the time English bicycles were far superior to their American counterparts and began a bicycle importing business. The company is now run by his daughter, Carine Joannou and acquired Jamis Bikes in 1990. Still a family owned company they as passionate about creating the best bicycles possible because they believe in the power the bicycle has to change peoples lives.
