Joannou Cycle Co. After living in the UK and then moving to the United States, George Joannou noticed that at the time English bicycles were far superior to their American counterparts and began a bicycle importing business. The company is now run by his daughter, Carine Joannou and acquired Jamis Bikes in 1990. Still a family owned company they as passionate about creating the best bicycles possible because they believe in the power the bicycle has to change peoples lives.
