After living in the UK and then moving to the United States, George Joannou noticed that at the time English bicycles were far superior to their American counterparts and began a bicycle importing business. The company is now run by his daughter, Carine Joannou and acquired Jamis Bikes in 1990. Still a family owned company they as passionate about creating the best bicycles possible because they believe in the power the bicycle has to change peoples lives.
