I bought one of these back in 1990. I live in Jersey and have a 'shore' house. I bought it to bring to the beach - cause - have mesh - the sand will fall right through. So I kept using the backpack for the day trips, vacations, stadium and park visits. So for 29 years this backpack has served my needs. You can go into any theme park that inspects bags .. and it is 1,2,3. I don't know why there is a warranty. I travel a great deal and this bag goes with us everywhere. As my kids were growing up it served as diaper bag, snack bag, beach bag, camera bag, excursion bag and pool bag to name a few. I just want to say it was the best $29.99 I ever spent. I felt like this backpack was very durable and my only disappointment is that I somehow lost it. I was on foot or bike for about 4 years and I would use it to go to my local meat market to get the smallest meat pack they had. It was a pretty snug fit but it fit. Thinking about it makes me want to go look through my storage unit for it.

Absolutely what I was looking for! High school, gamer son totes his VR and other gaming gear all over the place. His goggles, headphones, controllers are all in separate, hardshell cases. Now, he can put them in this mesh pack without added weight and off he goes to his friends with his hands free for other gear. He digs it, and he's picky! He will also be able to use it this summer for going to the beach or hiking. It is super well-made and durable. VERY happy with this purchase!

My son is very rough on his backpacks and this mesh backpack has held up amazingly well. He carries his Chromebook and a full load of text books everyday. The backpack is very roomy. Jansport's return policy is outstanding. It's the only backpack brand we buy.

This blue mesh bag is roomy for swimming gear. It has comfortable shoulder straps, a small inside pocket for keys and a good size outside pocket. Very attractive blue color. It arrived nicely packaged. Delivery was prompt.
Now that the current times has change due to school shootings and weapons brought to schools, the new school rules are clear back packs and mesh backpacks. I am a mother of two teenagers and an employee of a school(middle school) and we need you guys to make a clear liner in the inside of the mesh backpacks. High school students do not want the look of a clear back pack only. Many students ride the school bus and when it rains everything in their bag gets wet, personal and school own books. This can cost the students family lots of money when the school equipment gets ruined. I bought this backpack for my son who is going into Kindergarten. The mesh feels heavy duty. The overall appearance is attractive, and the straps feel thick and comfortable. For a 5 year old, it fits a little big, but it will do. We haven't had a chance to utilize the backpack, but I feel that it will hold up for the entire year if not longer.
I have owned by pack for almost forty years. I then got one each for my children in the early nineties. I carry mine every time I ride my bike. You can attach things to it with split rings (keychains, etc.) These packs were unavailable for a little while, so I'm glad to see they're back. I got one for my twelve-year-old nephew for his bike adventures. I wish they made a yellow pack, as it would be easy to see when biking. One with reflective material might also be nice. I also have one that I keep in my luggage for when I visit people on vacation. Perfect for carrying a light jacket and such. As I said, forty years old, so that answers the durability and quality questions. You can't go wrong.
My daughter's school required clear or mesh backpacks again for this school year. We bought one last year from Amazon but fell apart quickly. Knowing how well Jansport backpacks hold up I was thrilled they had an option for a mesh backpack. The mesh feels very durable and the design is nice compared to just a plain colored one. It's also nice that the back is padded with the bottom having similar material and not a mesh bottom. I have high hopes for its durability throughout the school year.
