I have been using a different brand for a long time that cost double the price of Jarrow. I accidentally bought the 5000 IU from the previous brand which I didn't realize contained corn and soybean oil in it. It kinda threw me off that brand so I decided to try Jarrow. Jarrow uses extra virgin olive oil which is a better carrier. I also like the price. So far it gets the job done, although I do not have a lab result to give you a definitive increase of my vit D levels. I take this with omega3s, vit k2, vit c and magnesium and I feel good lately!

Unlike many other Vitamin D formulations, this Jarrow formulation provides effective D3 in an extra virgin olive oil carrier. There are no cheap rancid oils that seem to be rather common in lesser formulations. We already knew that Vitamin D regulated over 200 tissues. COVID taught many of us that insufficient Vitamin D also compromised the immune system's ability to fight off COVID. If one wants to be sure of good Vitamin D levels, this 5000 IU product is good for building up and maintaining a healthy vitamin D level (whereas 10000 IU is good for building up, but a bit too high for maintenance for many people).
I am a cancer survivor who was vitamin D3 deficient. I have been taking this brand of vitamin D3 capsule for years now. I lowered my dose to this 2500 IU (same brand just different dose)after my results came back high-normal range from a blood test. This is an excellent maintenance vitamin to keep your levels up. Much kinder to your system than the RX version. I wish they sold it in the store. But Swanson is really fast at shipping. I highly recommend!
