Jasart Studio Thick Edge canvas is the preferred choice of stretched canvas for students, professional artists and hobbyists. The classic 380gsm (7oz) 100% cotton canvas is triple primed with quality acrylic gesso, making it suitable for use with acrylic, oil and alkyd paints. The medium grain surface has a 1 to 2 weave. Hand stretched over Swedish pine stretcher bars; you can be assured of optimal canvas strength with the Jasart Studio Canvas range. The staple-free edge (back-stapled) allows for painting on the sides and each canvas is supplied with corner protectors, for added protection during transport. Folded corners and wooden edges allow for easy re-stretching of the canvas. The Jasart Studio Thick Edge canvases are 1.5" or 38mm thick, perfect for hanging with or without a frame.
