Depending on the sound mode and what you are listening to, sometimes you hear the subwoofer playing higher end sounds that can sound overpowering for the overall audio balance. Although the different sound modes and settings help with this, I wouldn’t mind a bit more subwoofer control.This speaker system has big sound and comes in a clean, convenient, compact, and easy to use form. This JBL soundbar + subwoofer combo is incredible. It feels like you're in a movie theater. Being a bit of a tough grader, I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option, for the following reasons:PROS:- Outstanding bass - perfect for action movies, really makes them thrilling- Crisp sound quality, powerful sound - as expected for a JBL product- Set up was quick and easy, pretty much automatic.- Sleek design and low profile soundbar. Looks good and adds to the aesthetics of the TV.- The remote has preset options to optimize the sound for a movie, voice, music, and also to adjust the bassCONS:- The only drawback is that the provided HDMI cord is quite short in length (easy to fix)Would 100% recommend
I have placed this soundbar in my living room, and have been pleased with the sound clarity this thing packs within. The movie experience has changed for me completely as the wireless sub woofer delivers the perfect bass and can be placed anywhere in the room. The HDMI ARC connection made the setup very easy, and when connected I do not need to handle 2 remotes (1 for TV and the other one for soundbar). The TV remote is enough.Apart from connecting to TV, the ability to connect to mobile devices via bluetooth also comes handy. Over the past 2 weeks, I have been playing surround music throughout the day to have a cafe-like experience.I would definitely recommend Cinema SB550 soundbar to all movie lovers out there.
The sound bar and subwoofer was extremely simple to set up and use right out of the packaging. It took me less than 5 minutes from unboxing to listening to high quality sounding music. The packaging that it came in was also very high quality to ensure no damage to the units. I’ve been using mine in an outdoor environment and the system is plenty loud to get the full listening experience even while outdoors.
Sound bar that does the job well. I like that I could boost the bass using the remote. The dialog of characters on screen also comes through clearly. Way better than having stock TV speakers. It gives me a solid set up partnered with my smart TV. Not as much mobile pairing options that I’m used to but again, having a smart tv makes the experience better.

This is the perfect soundbar for anyone looking to upgrade their 1bedroom metropolitan living room. Small enough to not get in the way while providing a massive improvement to TV’s internal speakers. The sound here even performs better than previous bars I've owned that occupied twice the floor space. The subwoofer provides nice punch and bass response without causing your building’s foundation to rattle. The soundbar itself has great high end response and a respectable mid section that a lot of bars tend to lack. This is a great choice for anyone renting an apartment that wants to enjoy a colorful spectrum of sound for TV and music without breaking the bank on a heavy and cumbersome system. Highly recommend!
