It seems that the only models left of these are all rejects that never worked properly and they're trying to liquidate all they are sitting on which seems like a lot because out of the 4 I purchased from different places (yeah, they know it's a problem but wont stop selling them) they all have different sound issues to list- only 1 has worked as intended by the factory specs.BEWARE OF THESE!!! - You WILL get monitors that don't work as the manual claims they should.This will be my 3RD TIME RETURNING THESE FOR WORKING ONES!DON'T BOTHER WITH SALE ITEMS LIKE THIS!THESE JBLs ARE NO LONGER ANY GOOD!THEY ARE OLD STOCK OF FAULTY ELECTRONICS THAT WILL NOT DO YOU ANY FAVORS!

I do know the track quite well, so I looked for resonances around, and there closely on the speakers themselves it was a middle freq. coveted rattling.I understand it is resonates by so precise specific frequencies and harmonic content (that have to be played) at a very high volume that it even couldn't be replicated with just a frequency sweep.I found it because that is the unusual type of middle freq. content and variation I like to play with, which is very rare in common musical genres.So after reading on reviews at the net, there is a good chance that the new shinny black plastic cover needs some silicone/material for padding.Since it remains an elusive event I will wait for some on line solutions/disassembling instructions before DIYing myself.///No, I won't be returning my JBL LSR 305P MKII monitors, not for a minute, less for a day or more!

I have these speakers as a hand me down ones from my father.They sound incredible, The build quality is never seen before. The clarity of the voices and the low end are just unbelivable. The reflective front is a fingerprint magnet though. The option to control them from the back is useful for many scenarios. There is nothing that can shake you more in this price and size range.
I bought the 2i2 for two-mic recording. It works perfectly: the controls are super-easy to use, though you should RTM as a few things may sneak up on you.The audio comes out as you send it in, with no artifacts added.I'd get one instead of a Solo if you at all believe you'll upgrade your system in the future. The price point is certainly within most people's reach.
The best studio monitors at this price level, PERIOD. They produce sound accurately and clearly for film and music production. The response is flat enough where it counts and they combo as great speakers for enjoying any kind of entertainment partnered with a sub. I use them every day, and I couldnt be happier. Ive used plenty of monitors, and these are my go tos at my home studio and at the office.HOW THEY COMPAREThey arent as clear and flat as the Yamaha HS5s but they have much clearer lows and mids, lacking that tinny quality and sound more accurate to how people enjoy entertainment without sacrificing clarity. These are the speakers youve always wanted and youve never heard anything like them. What are you even waiting for?

I bought these for home use with Line 6 Helix and Logic Pro X. These speakers sound absolutely wonderful used with this setup. It really makes me like my Helix more. I had been using headphones, good ones but you just can't reproduce the sound exactly through headphones. I would definitely recommend these speakers for home use.It does seem like they are best when they're on the computer desk on the sides of the monitors. That's the most accurate tone by far, and that's what they're designed for. Once you move away from the sweet spot, the response changes pretty drastically.

This DOES matter as you'll be starting at them for hours on hours! And they may be one of the first things clients/visitors look at. KRK are screaming yellow, Yamahas have that "NS-10" look which is kinda cool, Adam Audio have that cute gold ribbon, all the rest just sort of "blend in" or look "average". These JBLs are a perfect fit for my studio, where the monitor face has that sleek, techie look. (See pic) I particularly love how they reflect the LEDs I have in my setup--which sort of blends them right into the family!Sound: I spent an ample amount of time tuning them to my space with the controls on the back. I thought I was fighting an uphill battle until after all the fiddling, shifting on the stands, etc., they hit a sweet spot and sounded like pure golden bliss. There's enough clout online to get specifics on specs and etc., so I'll just say: All the good things you'll read on how big, silky and full they sound are confirmed and true in my humble opinion.Cons:*Hiss from the speaker/tweeter? Psh, I checked ALL the monitors at GC, and they ALL had the same amount of noise while at rest. Became a non-issue for me at that point. Plus, there are tools I can plug into if it ever gets to me wanting a nearly impossible "100% quiet" speaker at rest. Felt this was worth mentioning since static/hiss comes up a lot in threads.*The look may not be for some, but that's 100% personal preference. I like it though.* No built-in crossover for subwoofer pairing, but not a deal breaker--especially if you don't plan on using one.*These weren't "set em' on the stands and have perfect sound image", but then again, that's not truly common with ANY monitor, in my experience.* I fear one day, maybe years from now, that laminate on the MDF may peel. Hopefully it will be within the warranty period and covered by JBL. They look great for now though, for sure!CONSLUSION: Look no further, I can say these are the ones. Zero buyer's remorse, and they are worth the buy even at full price. That said, I would definitely buy them NEW, because I'd hate to have gotten these with scratches on that beautiful glossy finish... Lol! So what are you waiting for? Grab a pair, and just return them if they are not your taste! But stop doom searching--you've got music to listen to and/or make. 😉
I was debating whether to get the 5, 6.5, or 8. I had read the dimensions and reviews online, and thought I'd try the little 5-inch. It's PLENTY big for my office/studio set up. The room is about 15 x 15 with one wall glass. Not even remotely regretting the little one. I got two of them and it's going to be overkill--I'm putting together voice over radio commercials with no need for stereo. It's amazing what you notice with the monitors (as opposed to my Audiotech M40X's--which I love). Will definitely be helpful in making date/time change tags to the ads. Note the power cord is only about 4 feet, which hardly gets to the ground (when you've got it on a stand), let alone to your power source, so order an extra extension cord if you don't have one lying around (240V ... MoreI was debating whether to get the 5, 6.5, or 8.
