Amazing Sound and Quality!!
Upon arrival I quickly opened the JBL Party Box Encore Essential. I found the product to be very well packaged and protected by large styrofoam pieces and a protective plastic type bag. The unit has good documentation and a simple yet informative startup guide. The package comes with the Party Box itself, a charging cable, and detailed setup instructions. The unit is shown on the box and some websites with a microphone (for PA or karaoke type activites) but it must be purchased separately as the ESSENTIAL model does not include the microphone but I believe the regular Party Box Encore does comes with a wireless microphone. The unit comes partially charged but I removed the weatherproof/splash proof cover to reveal the charging port and gave it a full charge. The full charge took around 2 hours but this charge easily gives you a full 6 hours PLUS of playback at any volume or light show setting! The Party Box includes the Bluetooth Quick Connect feature so it quickly detects any 'area' active Bluetooth connection for input and mates effortlessly! Upon connection to an audio source either wireless (or wired port in rear/USB or Aux In) the unit comes alive with the famous sound quality that JBL is so famous for producing! I love the JBL Powerful Bass Boost feature which easily takes any party or boat outing/swim party to the next level. The Pro Sound (full 100W) has very crisp highs and amazingly LOW bass for such a small unit. The unit also has an active light show that syncs to the music and has several settings from a solid type show to a flashy party style multi color mode. Unit is also Splash Proof for those boating or poolside activities that get wild... no it will not withstand being thrown IN the POOL but is not phased by an occasional splash. The ports in the rear (pictured) that are vulnerable even have nice weatherproof covers to keep the moisture and sand out of the unit!Another great feature which I have not utilized is the ability to 'bridge' 2 of these units together. If you should happen to have 2 of the units you can connect them for a truly incredible sound experience in stereo so to speak. The unit is portable and lightweight with a rubber gripped handle for easy transportation. The top control panel offers the ON/OFF Button, Light Show Customization Setting Button, Bass Boost button, Blue Tooth pairing button and a convenient rotary type volume control. You can control volume either on the unit or from whatever source you have connected! In summary this JBL unit lives up to the reputation for famous sound quality and reliable fun for any occasion. Our family has enjoyed the unit for a month and absolutely love it! We have not really found any 'cons' to the unit. It charges, booms, and just works for all the activities we have used it for! We even use it in our basement or around the house to make our time at home more enjoyable as well. One of the best products we have purchased that JBL produces!... Show more

Getting the party started!!!
Where do I start... Partybox Encore is a great little speaker for everyone to enjoy! To be honest it was bigger and heavier than expected but light enough for my 4 year old son to carry it around. The sound coming out from this speaker fills up the whole room or backyard, it even rattles the walls around my home. The JBL Partybox app lets you easily control the EQ settings and I was able to dial in the sound to my preference. Speaking of the Partybox app it is fun since it also lets me control DJ effects, Karaoke (more on that later), LED lights, and sound EQ settings. I don't do Karaoke but my kids do and they have a blast doing it with the two microphones that come included with the Partybox Encore. It was very simple setting up Bluetooth and the streaming service I use with the apple logo has lyrics so the family loves signing along to Encanto. It is also nice that the speaker has batteries so this means I can take it with me and not have to worry about an electrical outlet. The power button comes with an easy to read charging indicator so it is super easy to know when the battery is at 100%. The Partybox Encore quickly became my new favorite speaker because of the portability and sound it has, along with the included microphones and the LED effects this speaker will definitely get the party going!... Great sound, unique features - earcups not ideal
I must admit, I feel a little silly. Initially when I started to use these headphones I did so without the included USB dongle / adapter in my PC and was very underwhelmed with them - but that was my own fault for not reading the documentation a bit closer. But once that hurdle was over with, my experience has been much more pleasant.Up to now I've only used them via PC and not a console so my experience is based upon that. I was definitely skeptical on the head tracking feature but after enabling it - it is very interesting. Moving my head to the right puts my audio more into my left ear, and vice versa etc - it's different. I am not sure that matters or is useful in terms of gaming but certainly a nifty thing up to this point.I am a bit torn on the spatial ... MoreI must admit, I feel a little silly. Moving my head to the right puts my audio more into my left ear, and vice versa etc - it's different. I am not sure that matters or is useful in terms of gaming but certainly a nifty thing up to this point.I am a bit torn on the spatial surround - I am not sure if it has helped with tracking sounds in FPS games (CS:GO) or made it a bit tougher since things seem to sound a bit more distant - although very clear, and the 7.1 definitely works with all of the channels in the right positions. Outside of that, it definitely is some of the cleanest sound i've had out of a pair of headphones.Noise cancelling works, probably a bit too well - I've had my GF sneak up on me a few times and scare me - which is hilarious for her and not so great for me. But turning it off is literally just a button on the headphones and you're back to hearing the outside world. The flip up mic is pretty much essential in my opinion and it drives me nuts more headphones don't have them, and that more people do not use them - I genuinely don't want to hear people mouth breathing or their background noise LOL, and I don't want to impart my own on others so the feature definitely gets used!I am not crazy over RBG but the ability to customize the lighting on the headphones is a neat thing and easy to do with the Quantum software / also tweak the other settings of the headphones.Overall I do like the sound and the headphones are certainly comfortable - my only gripe is the ear cups which essentially end up sticking to my head and getting sweaty - not the best feeling but it's pretty much the never ending leather conundrum - love it, but reality is you end up becoming glued to it if you are on it too long (or the headphones are on you too long).I would definitely recommend these if you need a solid feeling, comfortable (take breaks lol), wireless headset with some nifty advanced features you can choose to either use or disable fairly easily.... Huge sound for a not-so-huge speaker.
I needed a speaker to fill a large outdoor church pavilion with music at my son's graduation open-house. When it arrived, I was a little concerned about the smaller size (I've seen some much larger versions in stores), but I was blown away by the big sound that this thing puts out. When I tried it indoors, the highest bass setting seemed to be a bit exaggerated. Once I had it in an open space though, I realized that the bass fades in the open air and needs that extra boost to keep up with the highs and mid-range.I originally considered the dancing LED lights to be more of a novelty than a necessity, but I have to admit that they do grow on you after a while. The microphone jack with adjustable gain and echo was an unexpected treat. I didn't buy it for this purpose, but the ability for it to double as a P.A speaker and/or for karaoke is really cool! I downloaded the party box app (android), and applied an update, then played around with the custom light patterns and sound effects. I highly recommend the app, as it can be a lot of fun to play with.I haven't tried to charge another device using the usb port. I'm not sure that I'll use this feature, but what good would a great bluetooth speaker such as this be if your phone died and you had no way to charge it?I'm also a scout leader, so my future plans are to take it to outdoor scouting events. It's supposed to be splash-proof, so it should make for a nice P.A. speaker and music source. It's a great combination of size, weight, and volume. Being wireless and splash-proof is icing on the cake. You're supposed to be able to pair this with another partybox-series speaker for stereo sound. I'm curious to hear how that works out, but for the time being, one seems to fit my needs just fine for the time being.I highly recommend this speaker. I have a couple of speakers that can fill a room with sound, but this little over-achiever can fill a much larger space and takes things to the next level.... Show more

I have true affection for the JBL Quantum Headset
These are an audiophile-quality gaming headset that are incredibly light and comfy, and they include premium features like active noise cancellation and head tracking. I have literally wore these all day long which makes me realize the true comfort and battery life rated at 39-45 hours that these provide. Another feature I truly love are that these can be connected to two different audio sources at the same time, so I never miss a call while playing a game or watching a movie. I not only use these for gaming and movies but in the office the active noise cancellation is great to eliminate background noise in the office while on a MS Teams meeting or to just drown out coworkers whose voices carry which can be very distracting. In flight usually the economy section I am the envy of the other passengers not only because of the light show feature but because of the active noise cancelling which means I do not need to hear screaming children. I like the connection adaptability which includes Bluetooth, 3.5mm, USB type-a and USB type c Thanks to the included 2.4GHz wireless signal from the USB dongle, this unit works wirelessly with PlayStation consoles and PC for added versatility and convenience. The installation process is super easy as well, just plug in the dongle to any computer and it auto installs and connects.... Show more

Perfect speaker with mics for events
I needed a speaker that I could also use with microphones for an upcoming event to play music and to amplify a few speeches, and this speaker does everything I needed and then some. This speaker packs a powerful punch for its size and is remarkably straightforward to use.Once the speaker was unpacked and plugged in to start charging, set up was simple. This speaker comes with two wireless microphones (no need to order another one), and they were already paired, so all I had to do was add batteries and turn them on, and they were ready to go. There is a separate volume control for the microphones so that you can turn them up or down separate from the music or anything else that you are playing on the speakers. The mics are very clear, and they will be perfect for speeches at our upcoming event. The sound quality is also pretty good, and you can make adjustments to add bass boost or to increase or decrease the bass and treble, which gives you a little flexibility to adjust the sound to match your preferences. This speaker fills the space with found and has the high quality that I have come to expect from JBL. This also has substantial battery life and is easy to carry, making it easy to use anywhere you need it. There are several options for lights that move with the music in a color pattern of your choice if that adds to the environment of your event, but you can also cycle through the options and just the lights off if your event calls for something a little more serious. If you’re looking for a speaker for an outdoor movie night, a backyard barbecue, karaoke night, an event where you need to be able to play music and give a few speeches, are teaching in a classroom where you need a little amplification to be heard easily, or are just looking for a great speaker to use every day with a really simple setup, this is the one for you!... The Best Bluetooth Music Box
The Partybox Encore is hands down the best boombox we have heard in years. We play a lot of Pickleball, we hold parties at the lake, and our kids love karaoke. There has been so many products at the Pickleball courts as people always try to bring their speakers that everyone can hear. The Partybox does exactly that and more.I will start off describing the Partybox itself. It is fairly light for it's size and for the amount of sound it puts out, you would think it would be a tank. The handle to carry the box is ergonomically correct and very comfortable. The power, lights, bluetooth, and bass boost are easy to depress and work flawlessly. The Partybox sits securely on the ground and doesn't vibrate when the music is turned up.The lights are an added touch. The LED blinking lights are bright and strobe in a nice pattern. There is way to many options you can select for how the colored lights and LED strobe lights flicker at a certain pattern. The colors are bright and vibrant!! At night, the lights are a great addition to this music box.The included 2 metal, high quality microphones transmit to the music box with ease and they sound very clear. We downloaded the app so when a song is played you get to read the lyrics. Adjusting the eq for the karaoke is a nice added touch and helps with adjusting deep or high voices with the type of music being played. Now for the sound this box puts out....it is crazy good how nice this little box sounds. The bass boost adds to the deep tone or leaving it without bass boost the speaker is very clear with high and low frequency sounds. I kid you not when I say the sound is impressive!!! Over the last 4 days I have take the Partybox to the Pickleball courts, all the players now expect me to play music from this nice system. The compliments we now get make the other people that use to bring their speakers envious of our JBL Partybox Encore. We continue to be amazed at the sound quality and portability of such a great sounding system. There is one thing I wish this box had incorporated with its' design. The power cord doesn't have a place to store it. Having a nice light storage area with the rubberized cover would have allowed owners to no lose or misplace the cord since there isn't a dedicated storage place for it. To keep it with the box we roll it up and push it under neath the handle. This works but a storage place would be better. Everything else about this box we down right LOVE!!!!... Show more

The One and Done Do All High End Gaming Headset
The Quantam 910p are the nicest pair of headphones I've ever used. Sound quality and bass is excellent, well rounded and perfectly suited for gaming of all types. Fit and finish is impressive, very sleek, stylish, and clean while still feeling durable. They're super comfortable, I've been able to game for 4 hours at a time without needing to take them off or re-adjust. Battery and connectivity is the best I've seen! After plugging in the JBL Quantam dongle, the headset instantly connects and lasts for many gaming sessions, up to 39 hours of game time. I've also been able to pause the game and walk clear across my house without losing connection, super impressive. The Spatial Audio and head tracking features were both new to me. Trying these 2 features out for the first time was a unique experience as they change the way you engage with the game. From my experience the Spatial Audio is best suited for FPS type gaming. Both of these features take some getting used to but are great to have in a high end headset such as the Quantam 910p. Overall, this headset does everything exceptionally well and is worth the investment.... Show more

When playing hip/rap music the lows carry through the room and can sometimes even rattle the wall depending on the volume. Rock music was clear and punchy. Country music surrounded you in an immersive experience. I will say that in larger rooms this speaker tended to fade into the background noise though. In smaller spaces is really where this speaker should live. Also, when full volume was reached I noticed that the bass couldn't quite keep up with the rest of the sound. The bass peaks around 75% volume I believe (still a punch in chest though).Technology & Features:With every new JBL product you can expect new upgrades of technology and the PartyBox Essential is proof of that statement. Though smaller in size, JBL has found a way to pack the same JBL immersive sound in it. The battery I have found will last anywhere between 6-7 hours at 25-50% volume and less at higher volume levels. The ability to wireless pair another speaker through its "TWS" pairing system is almost flawless. Very simple. Also, this speaker is water resistant meaning it is splash resistant and rain resistant making it ready for pool, beach, or camping trips. The light show is a customizable through the JBL PartyBox App or through adjusting on the PartyBox itself.Feel and Look :The JBL PartyBox has always had a "boxy" look with "curvy" edges and this design did not veer from that much. Other than the removal of the phone slot and mounting hole on the bottom this speaker is very similar in design. It's about 1/2 the size of the JBL PartyBox 110 and about 1/3 of the weight. The classic JBL matte black grids on the speaker cover the the JBL orange logo make it stand out from the competition in looks and the hard plastic cutter core should protect from small drops and dings. All in all, this speaker looks about the same as the other JBL PartBox's but 1/3 of the weight. Conclusion :JBL continues to impress with more compact technology and the same signature sound. This PartyBox would make a great travel companion for anyone looking to take the music wherever they are.... Show more
