A very capable and versatile turntable

I have found the Bluetooth (BT) most impressive – I have paired successfully with my Pioneer NC-50DAB Amplifier (Network CD Receiver), various BT headphones and earbuds. The BT seems very robust and I never experienced a dropped connection, although re-pairing will be necessary if other devices are paired in between. My only criticism concerns the BT pairing button, it is poorly located on the rear panel and is quite small, hard to locate and not comfortable to use. This could have been located in a more convenient place and have a more pleasing shape.Hard-wired output is via RCA-style stereo connectors for either direct connection to a separate amplifier (with the built-in pre-amp switched on) or as a line-output to active speakers (or perhaps a headphone amplifier), with the pre-amp switched off. These connections perform as expected. The attraction of the BT connectivity will, no doubt, dictate how this turntable is used by most people. If you have a large vinyl collection, I think users will be pleased with the sound reproduction, although it is unlikely to achieve such a detailed frequency response compared to the CD version of the same vinyl album. This is unlikely to be noticeable when using BT headphones/buds or speakers.

After giving my Hi-Fi separates to my son a few years ago my vinyls have been stuck in the loft. I saw an advert for the JBL Spinner Bluetooth turntable and the fact I have a number of Bluetooth speakers I thought I would give it a go. The turntable is nicely built and good quality, it was easy to assemble but I did struggle to get the counterweight on the arm and tried to use it incorrectly. After using a little more force I managed to get it seated and adjusted as per the instructions which sorted the issue, although some users may find it a bit tricky to adjust the counterweight it's crucial to get the balance right as it directly affects the sound quality. It's worth noting that there are RCA connections if you have an amp available but I was unable to test, it would be great to compare the sounds. Overall the turntable delivers great sound wirelessly, making it a solid choice if you don’t have access to an amp but have a good Bluetooth speaker been under utilised, convenience without compromising on quality.

As a first time user, this was a great introduction for me into the world of turntables. I’ve always been a bit confused about how they actually work but found this one really easy to get the hang of. It arrived very well packaged and the setup process was very straightforward. The instruction manual very clearly laid out all the steps from assembling to playing records, which I found really helpful. The design is very modern & high quality so it looks very aesthetically pleasing. Audio quality was also very good, however, I did feel like I could hear the music playing through the analog output faintly when up close. If you're playing music loudly on Bluetooth speakers, you probably won't hear it so much and with a wired connection, this would easily be solved. Overall, in my opinion, this is a great option for beginners like myself, if you’re looking to spend a bit more for a sleek Bluetooth enabled turntable of good quality.

This seems to be a well made product, everything seems sturdy. The main thing I think lets it down is the supplied stylus, when using it out of the box, it seemed to lack some dynamics to the sound. I swapped with a stylus from another turntable I have and it instantly sounded better, and it's not a high end stylus, so a recommended upgrade.Bluetooth pairing is easy, though when using with Airpods, I haven't found a way to control the volume, though it does play at a comfortable volume. Maybe the intention is to use with a Bluetooth speaker with its own volume control. I fought for many years not to be that cliché hipster with a vinyl player. Ultimately, I stoped resisting and embraced the temptation. the only reason I bought a vinyl player was that for some time already I lost the excitement of listening to music the way I used to when we still have CD. With Spotify, music just becomes background music. I know it’s a first world problem, and that I should actively listen to the music on Spotify. It’s just doesn’t work for me. I just listened to my first vinyl and the experience was entirely something else. On that front, the bluetooth connection to my Sonos era 100 was effortless and the sound was more than convincing.Additionally, the orange colour is amazing.

This has replaced my older and somewhat cheaper turntable, and I didn't think there would be that much difference in quality, but oh I was sooooo wrong. Just looking at it, the whole thing just oozes quality and the build is just superb. The setup of the tonearm is really straightforward and the fact that it is a balanced arm, is even more impressive, as this is something I would expect on a much higher end and more expensive device. The solid aluminium platter coupled with the damped feet and mdf plinth ensures that any vibrations are very effectively reduced. The turntable speeds are controlled by a belt drive system locked with a speed monitor to ensure totally accurate speeds. All in all a very worthwhile upgrade to my AV setup and one that does not disappoint

Thanks to the possibility of pairing it to a BT speaker I was able to make my grandmother listen to her records from over 60 years ago. Seeing his look rejuvenate as soon as he heard those melodies, well, it's really priceless. Now it's probably up to me, but I was only able to connect it via BT with a recent speaker -> BT Version 5.2. My BT4.2 headphones weren't up to the task.If you have some old JBL speakers, perhaps with orange components like the SpinnerBT, you need to give yourself this gift.If you love music this is a must have. Furthermore, owning a turntable means no longer receiving unwanted gifts, anyone who knows you will know that a record from your favorite singer will always be welcome.

Turntable Spinner a pretty good success

I am quite impressed by the Spinner, the quality of the deck is a lot better than I expected. The bluetooth sounds truly far better than I expected of a turntable as I was most weary of the transfer from the needle to the speaker, but the quality and the amplification of the music is spot on and also somehow louder than running through my analog speakers. One of the reasons I wanted to get a bluetooth turntable was because of a company like JBL specifically thinking of bluetooth connectivity and sound while considering the rest of the turntable and what the needle will pick up to the speaker. It really does seem like a lot of consideration was done in this area. One of the reasons I wanted to get a bluetooth turntable was because of a company like JBL specifically thinking of bluetooth connectivity and sound while considering the rest of the turntable and what the needle will pick up to the speaker. It really does seem like a lot of consideration was done in this area. One thing I found funny with the bluetooth is that it continues to play through the analog port while connected to bluetooth and the delay between these two outputs is not so significant. Enough for me to hear but pretty close in timing. I also was worried about the quality of the needle provided cause I am used to using my Ortfon Red at this point but I have been impressed with how nice it sounds, I did order another cartridge that has more capabilities to upgrade. I think that is potentially the biggest miss, where the more expensive version of the JBL table comes with an Ortfon stylus this one comes with a Audio Technica stylus that doesn't have a lot of upgrade options. I think if you were considering those things the AT-VMN would've been a better choice for a path forward. One of the biggest frustrations I had with this turntable was something many people probably wouldn't be worried about when getting it but I wanted a deck that was more automatic. The description of the features for this turntable are a little confusing and it says there is Auto Start / Stop. My assumption here was that it also included an Auto Return feature, for the tonearm to be put back in place after the record ended. That is not the case, the feature is for when the stylus is above the record the turntable starts spinning, then when it reaches the end of the record it stops. However, it doesn't stop so immediately, I have noticed it can be around 10+ clicks of the end of the record. For some that might be a major annoyance and I am not a big fan of it but I prefer it to nothing. I have never used a turntable with this kind of a feature so it was a bit of an adjustment for me and initially I wasn't even sure it was going to stop cause it took so long (or really what felt long at the time). But as I have continued to spin records on it I have found it not to be as much of a problem and I really do love this turntable in so many ways. The final thing I'll say is one of the best things that has come from this new turntable for our household is I have been able to connect it to our JBL Extreme speaker and take my vinyl to the kitchen while I'm cleaning or cooking or to the porch while I'm relaxing. It is really a pretty wonderful and feature packed turntable for the money. I'm hoping my experience continues as such but for now I have only had it for about a week but it's been great and the family is having alot of fun with it.To note I also have a Denon DP-300F and Uturn Orbit in the house, both with Ortfon Red stylus' and I love them as well but they don't have the features the Spinner does.
