I have been testing this one for a few weeks now and I'm very impressed. At first sight I immediately liked the sleek design. I like that it's not too big and super easy to carry around outside. Connecting my phone went smoothly and without any issues. The quality of the sound is amazing. It's so clear and the bass is great. I also downloaded the JBL app just to see what else that brings to performance. For example you can select equalizer and choose between jazz, vocal, bass etc but you can also add your own EQ. I am writing this with my heart broken. I like JBL products like many others. I was in dreaming of buying the JBL extreme 2 many days back and got an opportunity to buy one fine day. The very next week of receiving JBL extreme, the protection flip cover on the JBL has broken. I lost the return window period as it was able to return only within 7 days from the purchase so I was unable to get it replaced. Hence reached local service center in Chennai and explained the problem. They are very NICE and mentioned that it is the COMMON problem across all JBL products and asked me to continue to use it. I was surprised, without this protection cover, how it will survive when it is being claimed as water proof. I am very surprised about the quality, sound and noise cancelling of the jbl! I never had a JBL before and have these headphones for almost a month now. I can say that I really like this one!The sound is very clear, you have an extra button to disable the noise cancelling to hear your surroundings and I find this very convenient!One side note is that a person next to me could hear what I was listening. It was disturbing for him, but I must say that I am a loud listener. If you turn down the volume then you won’t disturb anyone.I used it during my weekly training and it is very comfortable. The duration of the battery is very long and it charges very fast.

I bought this speaker a year and 3 months ago. The speaker worked great but suddenly it stopped working. Its battery is not charging. I can't turn it on. No lights on the battery indicator even if the unit is connected to the power source. I contacted customer service. They said it's likely due to a defect in the AC power cord. But it turns out that the power cord has no issue (I have tested it). Unfortunately, '1-year warranty' period has passed. So it seems that there is no way to fix this issue except for bringing the unit to a service center (which may cost more than the unit price). The customer service representative gave me a 35% off coupon that I can use to purchase a new unit. But, why should I buy a new one? The speaker is just a year-ish old!I did some internet search to see if other customers have a similar issue. It turns out that there are actually many! Check out Youtube, for example. Many customers are struggling with the same issue. I love JBL and purchased several JBL speakers (Bluetooth speakers, headphones, sound bars...). But this is really disappointing. A speaker is not supposed to last just a year.FYI: My unit has been indoors for 98% of the time. I used it normally. No water contacts. Not dropped. No external damage. I believe a lot of customer takes good care of their speaker, like I did.
