JBL Tune 710BT Wireless Over-Ear Headphones - White

I am so glad that I bought this over more expensive options. I researched thoroughly prior to purchase and was reasonably confident, but there is always a risk when opting for a cheaper product. Well, these 'phones can compete with models costing more than twice the price. I tested them with a few demanding songs - Julee Cruise's "Falling", Ministry's "Stigmata" and Christian Death's "This is Heresy", and they performed flawlessly. "Falling" and "This is Heresy" will always reveal poor equipment, as the heavy bass will cause distortion in sub-par devices. I detected no distortion. Portishead's "Dummy" album also sounded excellent. The tuning is neutral, lyrics are clear and the sound is detailed. So far, I dislike only two things: 1. I would prefer that the "on" indicator was separate to the "connected" indicator. 2. The clamp strength is a little strong, though this is easily remedied with a few thick books or a watermelon.

A mixed bag

I experience these headphones as both incredible and disappointing, it outshone my expectations in some areas and fell short in others. I would advise anyone that commutes, listens to podcasts, and likes to game with a wireless headset to purchase them. I would be more hesitant to advise them to users that are heavily invested in music, or prioritize noise cancelling. Pros: The headphones are lightweight, durable, flexible and have incredible battery life. Intuitive controls and good Bluetooth connection make them super practical. I wear them for 10-12 hours a day and they feel great. The battery life is also just a huge plus for me and I definitely will not return the headphones. The sound quality itself is just ok, the base is fine and music sounds good but it's far from impressive. In short, practical users (not sound snobs) will find these headphones to be the perfect everyday headset. Those that are looking for exceptional sound quality should keep looking.

Trust my review I am very picky when it comes to headphones. I definitely recommend these JBL Tune 660NC. These on ear headphones will surprise you for the price. Here is my rating and a couple of feedback for each category for them so that you know how they will work for you like they worked for me and my rating for them. Only 4 because if someone is looking for noise cancelling completely you wont get that with these. Full Review Below!! Fit: They fit really well and are really comfortable. They seem built pretty sturdy. They sit on my ear pretty well. For everyday use they are comfortable and even work well while wearing glasses and a football hat. For active use they work well with sweat and your normal cardio like running and weightlifting. I wouldn't recommend them for like crossfit though cause for too much movement they kind of slip off. Connectivity: So I used my Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus for this test. When opening them out of the box my google used Google Fast Pair and automatically detected them and connected them without me having to go to settings which was pretty cool so if you do not know how to connect headphones that will eliminate stress. Did not lose connection with them. From being upstairs with them and forgot to leave my phone downstairs I was able to take a phone call and listen to music without interruption. Taking phone calls was pretty easy. The buttons on the headphones even let you mute, accept and even hang up on your calls. You can even use Google Assistant with and any other voice apps such as siri with apple phones and bixby with Samsung. With music can pause a song, go to previous and next song and of course adjust volume. Battery: Opened it up since last saturday and since a full charge has been a week of being off and on them and have not had to charge them and battery is only at 50%. So I would say the battery is definitely impressive. They do pretty well conserving battery they turn off after a while of not being used which never had that before with previous bluetooth headphones. Sound: The sound of the headphones were pretty clear and crisp and was even able to use the equalizer of my amazon music player to adjust it to different pre sets which really allowed me to watch the headphones adjust to jazz to rock to pop and really experience the headphones true range which they did not disappoint. I can turn them all the way up and people around me don't hear them so its great if you want to jam and not worry about disturbing anybody so feel free to turn them up in a library or airplane! lol Noise Cancelling Feature: So I gave them a 4/5 cause the Noise cancelling does not completely cancel the noise, I can still talk to someone with them on except they sound muffled whenever I am not playing music. Now when I play music I definitely cannot hear anyone or anything. I think that's where the active part of noise cancelling comes in they activate whenever you are playing music or on a phone call which I think is a really helpful feature to use most noise cancelling headphones you have to take off if you want to have a conversation with someone especially when working out in the gym but with these you will not have that problem.

There is no "pin-point" feeling on the top of the head, it's a nice evenly displaced cushion. Technical: Your typical buttons do what they're supposed to do, and yes, BUTTONS! Pause-play work as expected, and double click to skip and a bonus of triple tapping to go back. Volume buttons are a gripe though. It suffers from the classic 2:1 ratio. For every "2 volume step" you go up an actual audio volume difference. It's something you have to live with but it does get in the way when you want that"just right" level. There is no 'auto-pause' feature when you take them off and 'swivel' them. But having the ability to swivel them around your neck makes up for that lack of a feature. Sound: It's nearly perfect. I know I said it made strides in my previous gripes with JBL's headphones and it truly does. Bass is one area they knocked it out of the park. It's tight but not rumbling, if there's a song EQ'ed right with more bass intended you'll hear it and not muddled. It's clean, clear, and punchy, but not rumbling. Highs are another problem I had, but they adressed this with cymbals and high notes coming through as they should, and some vocals, but never coming through where it's painful (similar to a "nail on chalkboard" feeling). Mids are a bit wierd. In some Rock and Roll songs, some electric guitars sounded to be overpowering and muddy as if they were trying to be there but someone was putting a towel between them and you. Nothing drastic, just didn't sound right. But overall I would rate the sound as more than what you would expect from headphones like these; amazing sound quality. I wasn't able to test the NC on these headphones since I don't have the typical "noise profile" most people have. But from the limited testing I did, it did it's job well. It's not going to blow you out of the water, but it sure isn't going to leave you hanging. Low rumbles and *high* peircing sounds did come through still, but that's to be expected with those kinds of frequencies, but everything in the middle it did a swell job at doing it's best to block it.

I received the JBL Tune 760NC headphones in black to test and review. The headphone is up to JBL standard. The looks are good and there no sharp edges to get hurt from. As we already own different JBL headphones in my household, it was very nice to make a comparision. The sound of the headphone is GOOD! It’s nice and clear. The microphone works perfect as well, so the headphone is really good for business use when you connect wireless via bluetooth to your device. The battery lasts pretty long as well (had to charge only once during a 8 working days and had the phones on for 8 days). So it’s really good to use for business if you have a lot of calls. The controls require a bit of getting used to when you have the headphones on your head, but they are easily accessible when you get used to its location. Lastly, the ANC is average here. They will isolate monotonous types of sound but don't expect too much beyond random spurs of sounds like people talking in the background. Overall, these are are really good headphones, and I'd definitely recommend them to users. Ive had these for two weeks and I've been using them about a couple hours each day for the last two weeks and the charge is just now halfway down from 100%. With ANC on and assuming you are running 50%-60% volume you'll get around the claimed 35 hours, with ANC off at 50% volume you can expect the 50 hours. [Sound] You cannot go wrong with these headphones they are pretty loud headphones especially with ANC off, they have a pretty decent soundstage especially for what you're getting, the bass, mid and treble is pretty clean and they are a little bass heavy but there's nothing wrong with that, the bass does not affect the treble, its very nice and clean, you can really listen to some songs and float off in your head bopping! All around you will be pleased with these headphones and they are deffintely an amazing buy you won't be let down

While this is 1.5 hours shy of JBL’s listed 20 hours of performance, the fact of the matter is that 18.5 hours is plenty. Playback controls are small and hardly differentiated from one another. If you’re wanting to get the best audio quality from the headphones, use the included 3.5mm cable. One of the more functional features is multipoint connectivity. This allows you to simultaneously connect to two devices and alternate between them. In order to do so, pause media on the primary device and play it on the secondary one. This bass-heavy pair of headphones is great for the average consumer. Where passive isolation falls short, active noise cancelling makes up for lessening low-frequency noise. Isolation is just ok, but when noise cancelling is activated, the outside world fades into the background. Active noise cancelling is turned on by default. The headphones may fold flat or upward to become more compact for transport. If you want great noise cancelling for less, yes. They might not be the clearest sounding headphones, but they are comfortable, portable, and effectively filter out external noise with ANC toggled on. Aside from that, Google Assistant and Alexa integration is a wonderful convenience: having texts read aloud and being able to immediately reply without touching my phone is a joy. That said, if the poor microphone quality is impossible to overlook, They’re lightweight, easy to operate, and have a significantly better microphone.
