A product that does not do what the box says it will do, i.e. 'Zero noise'. The design is extremely nice and the product is easy to use. However, the noise cancelling function barely muffles sounds around you, it does not block them out. Considering how expensive these earphones are and considering the 'Zero noise' slogan on the packaging, I feel I wasted my money.

It is the first time that I use a double earphone. It is interesting that you have the possibility to use only one side (mono) instead of both (stereo).I mainly used it when I was riding the bicycle, going to work or taking my son to school...sometimes even going for a relax ride. The earphone behaved well with my sweat (it is pretty warm nowadays), and it was easy to clean...it didn't affect the sound quality...and boy, what a sound quality...the ambience awareness mode is very interesting. The case (which also recharge the earphones) is sturdy and made with good quality material, it has an USB-C port to be recharged as well.It is wonderful that there is an integration with Google Assistant, and you can read/write SMS and Whatsapp messages, and also trigger some ... Example of commands are the standard (volume up/down, next/previous song, etc...) but also switch between modes (ambient awareness, noise canceling, etc.) and Google Assistant. The how-to start those commands are easily available in the small but instructive quick guide. The earphone case is flat on the back, but not on the bottom, so you cannot let it standing up. I found it annoying. It also has a magnet to secure the earphone to its place inside the case, unfortunately the experience of removing and inserting the earphone is not optimal. The part of the earphone that you have available to pull out ot the case is slippery and small. During the night and sleepy or while in low lighting it can be challenging to stick the earphones inside the case, it has a very particular position to be inserted.Another issue that I faced which was quite frustrating, was that one day I wanted to ride for a long path my bike and I took the earphones and put them into my pocket. Once I reached the start of the path I wanted to use the earphones, but for my surprise I couldn't connect to my Android phone. The earphone was full on battery, the smartphone as well, bluetooth was enabled. I unfortunatelly could not pair it as well, as it seemed that the earphone was totally shut off, no pairing mode available. There was no way to "turn it on" or to reset it...The only solution was to return to home and put them into the case, which after seconds was available again to connect and to pair.I had just a few annoying experiences, but the overall I'm very positive about my experience with this earphone.

I've had these for about a year now & while they're generally good, there are a few things that could be better. Most annoyingly, if they are in their case in my pocket and I answer the phone, they are still connected through Bluetooth so I have to turn Bluetooth off to answer a call. You would think if they were in their case it would automatically disconnect. Also, more recently they don't appear to charge everytime they are out back in the case. Today for example they have both been in the case for about 5 hours and the case is fully charged but the right earbud was at 20% when I went to use it again. It's to the point that I now tend to only use one at time so if one runs out of battery I swap over to the other one. The battery life is also greatly reduced now. ... I just put in and earbud and it was 100% and since writing this review it just gave me the low battery warning. Also, occasionally a really loud static noise plays for a second when it glitches or something. Probably not great for my hearing as my ears hurt when it happens. Overall these have served me reasonably well but I won't buy them again.

The sound is good and the build is good quality, but I had to salvage the silicon tips from the JBL earbuds I bought 3 years ago, because the largest tip provided in the package was still too small. Walking around was enough to make the earbuds shift in my ears. Thus, the active noise cancelling didn't work, and the sound quality was terrible. With the salvaged tips (which are significantly larger than the largest tip in the new earbud), The sound quality was much better and the ANC worked much better. And in regard to that feature, you should kerb your expectations. It's noise mitigation rather than cancelling. In a quiet house, it's effective. But outside, it's not really that effective. You should save your battery life.
I'm excited about the battery life, JBL seems to have other brands beat there. At the price point, it almost seems too good to be true (12 hours without case, 36 with). I'm not sure about the sound quality yet. My last pair of headphones were the JBL race endurance, with those I never really had any issues-beyond losing them. These seem a little questionable. At certain points in some songs where it gets pretty loud, there's almost a scratching, piercing noise that seems like it could blow through the speaker, but it's so quick it's almost hard to tell. I'm also not sure about the fit of these. I only had them in for a few minutes before they started to make the inside of my ears sore. It also felt like no matter how I positioned them, they weren't as secure as they ... MoreI'm excited about the battery life, JBL seems to have other brands beat there. I'm honestly a little scared to try running in these, I could definitely see one popping out during a good workout. The pale purple color is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Shipping was fast, and they came in perfect condition. Overall, I'm feeling very MEH about these headphones. The battery life is incredible, and the price is decent. That's what these headphones have going for them. In the future, I'd like to upgrade to something with a more premium sound, though, and that doesn't cause any pain when wearing.
1st, let me say Best Buy's service and people are amazing. But, I returned them in less than 2 weeks. I expected way way more value in a JBL. I will never buy their products again with this experience. If they were say, 60 dollars, maybe even 70, I wouldn't be as disappointed, but they're double that price. The good:The app is great. The eq is great. The "Ambient Aware" setting is excellent for the office or outside. (Loved this feature) The touch controls are flawless. The setup is a breeze. The mic is excellent. Voice calls are excellent and clear. The bad (audio/music)The highs start to crackle and distort. The mids even distort barley past half volume. The actual "Active Noise Cancelling" is basically non-existent. I can hear my socks on the floor or the ... I can hear my socks on the floor or the pages gently flipping on a book. The "Extream Bass" is false advertising. It's mediocre bass (at best) that knocks down the mids and highs. I have a set of 6 year old $40 Skull Candies that almost rival these.I feel cheated, like the we're supposed to be dumb enough to turn off the heightened (amplified) volume "Ambient Aware" to the almost unnoticeable "Active Noise Cancelling" mode and believe it.Maybe JBL is just cashing out on their name and former glory.Best Buy, drop these things or negotiate a massive drop in price for these because you're reputation is on the line, especially at full price.
I bought these over a month ago, they replaced song wfc500 (which went through the wash). One thing the Sony lacked was a decent microphone, which reviews stated these were the best microphone for the cost. I learned my lesson, you can't get a decent pair of earbuds for under $200. I like that you can change the tap options one each ear buds, but I wish they took it one step further, and you could assign the taps. I.e. I hate lowering the volume on level but double pressing, so to lower 5 levels that 10 taps, previously, I could hold it and it would keep lowering until I removed it. The connectivity is plan issue, for some reason kid messenger calls stop the audio from working and I need to reset it (which on weekends, can be 4 times a use). MY main issue is the ... MY main issue is the pain, it doesn't matter what tip you use, they just don't fit in you ear right. I read that this was an issue, but I've been wearing earbuds for over a decade and figured I'd be able to power through, while my ears adjusted. Nope! I got a blister. I do like the "find my ear buds" option. Wish I had returned them while I could instead of thinking, they'd get better. The slightly improved microphone isn't worth the discomfort.
I've never had so many major issues with a pair of headphones. My issues with these are:1. Horrible resistance to sweat, earwax, or dirt/dust. When they get the slightest bit dirty, the headphones will not charge, and you will barely be able to hear your music. The audio will become 90% muffled you can't even hear lyrics anymore.2.Bluetooth connection is HORRIBLE. Headphones will randomly connect to my phone while they are closed in their case, PLAYING AUDIO CLOSED IN THE CASE. ALSO NEVER CONNECTS WHEN YOU WANT IT TO.3. Headphones DIE IN THE CASE AND DONT CHARGE, BECAUSE THEY CONNECT TO MY PHONE.4. Sound quality is very unremarkable when the headphones are clean and actually work.5. When it does detect the headphones, it takes an extremely long time to be able to use the app.My conclusion: I've made many mistakes in my life. But by far the worst decision I have ever made was buying these JBL TUNE BEAM headphones. 0/5 stars.
I have been using the JBL Tune Beam ear phones for the past 2weeks and I have to say I am pleased with the performance. Upon unboxing the Tune Beam I was not impressed with the build quality. The charging case was small and felt a little flimsy. The ear Pods were also very light and plastically and I was concerned they would not be comfortable for long period of use. Actually so far the opposite has been true. The Tune Beam's fight comfortably in my ear and they are so light, that at times I forget I am wearing them. They have been a great addition to my regular 5k run, they are water resistant and the ambient noise function is a great feature that allows you to enjoy music but also be aware of environment sounds during your workout.Pairing the earphones was ... Simply activate your Bluetooth on your phone or laptop and do the same on the earphones. You will see a blue light on the Tune Beams that indicate Bluetooth is on.Sound quality is pretty good, I like music with heavy base and there is little to no distortion when playing some of my favourite tracks. The JBL Tune Beam Ear phones are surprisingly good, the battery life is solid, the sound quality is good and they are so light that you sometimes forget you are wearing them. If you are in the market for some wireless ear phones, with good sound quality, lots of features then these are serious contenders.
The JBL Tune Beam seems to be a great 'headset earbud', it has super clear, crisp audio, nice touch controls, good app and computer support, and pairs and connects to multiple devices with no issues. What it seems to be lacking, at least for my earholes, is full sound and a bottom end. Bass is almost completely lacking with my fit. If I push them in and hold them with my hands, it's better, but still not as good as my Reflect Aeros or my True Wireless Flash earbuds. When not being smashed in by my hands, I'd rate their sound (for music), at 6. Aeros=8, TrueWirelessFlash=9. For conference calls or audiobooks, I'll give them 10, because, again they are crystal clear. The ANC (active noise cancelling) works, and is enough for headset use, and, again, lacking for ... For conference calls or audiobooks, I'll give them 10, because, again they are crystal clear. The ANC (active noise cancelling) works, and is enough for headset use, and, again, lacking for music. Mostly because I think with my fit, the full range of sound isn't present and thus also can't be cancelled. As far as fit, which is where I think most of the problems (and one of the positives) stem from: I think these earbuds are designed for people with smaller earholes. I included a picture of them side by side with my Aeros, and the earbud body that lodges up against your ear canal is much smaller. I used the largest gels, but it didn't make a difference. That might make these perfect for a younger and/or smaller person. Aside from the sound range loss, they feel as though they could fall out with any sort of activity. The positive side, and it really is nice, is that I could, and did, wear them for all day conference calls. No ear ache after!I love the look and feel of the buds and the case. The earbuds slide into the charger firmly and easily. I like the lighting and I enjoy the touch controls. Two small ergonomic gripes would be that the case can't really stand up and the buds can be a little hard to grasp to pull out of the case.Overall I'd say this: if you generally like bigger earbuds (you always use the large gels like me), you may want to skip these.. UNLESS you want to use them as a headset.. I certainly will. If you are a bit smaller, and find most earbuds too big, these may be for you!
