I love using this charcoal. The pieces are a good size, and it lights pretty quick. I have an electric fire starter, and there is almost no sparking when I light up this charcoal. I have tried a lot of brands, and the ones that cost less usually throw a lot sparks and have small pieces. I also like how it comes in a 35 pound bag. I have done 5 cooks now and I still have nearly half a bag. The other thing I liked is the charcoal heats up to a high temperature.

Jealous Devil is amazing Charcoal. Efficient, it does burn longer than some of the other brands I have purchased. Just be sure when purchasing from the store that the bag is not damaged, to ensure you get all the charcoal you're paying for.
Great value for the price. Mix a large and small chunks. Works great with green egg.
Lots of big pieces, long lasting. A little difficult to start due to the higher density which can be offset by using some sort of fire starter. Perfect for low and slow. Vermont castings is superior for high heat searing and easier lighting.
Love this lump charcoal. Stays hot long & doesn't have alot of little chunks. I'm a Jealous Devil fan. This is the only charcoal I use on my kamado grill.
Having tested several of the top brands of lump charcoal, this is now my preferred charcoal and will continue to purchase it wherever I can find it. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a reduction in popping, cracking, and smoke I usually get from all the other lump charcoals I've used in the past. Coming off Royal Oak which was the last bag of lump I bought, this is night and day difference.This Jealous Devil lump charcoal lit quickly and stayed HOT (KJ Jr. 550+ degrees) for the duration of my cook. There was no excessive smoke taste that I could detect, and my wife agreed also. After closing off the vents on the grill, the charcoal cooled with minimal ash. I'll be able to use the same charcoal for a second bbq.
Due to COVID19, we haven't been able to replenish our tank on our gas grill. Luckily, we have a charcoal grill. My husband loves this product far more than regular charcoal. He now prefers using this method of grilling vs charcoal
This is a my third bag and I love cooking with them. The ease of starting a fire, longer burn and the flavor is wonderful. I won’t use any other now that I found these. Also the price is reasonable and TSC delivered promptly. Live the new slide open bag too!!
