Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Eau De Toilette is a fantastic scent! As soon as I read the notes, I knew it was a winner. Top notes are Clary Sage and Mandarin Orange; Middle notes are Caramel and Tonka Bean; Base note is Vetiver. I don’t normally put the full notes on my reviews, only what I detect. And for this fragrance I can smell all of those notes. But what stands out the most to my nose is the Clary Sage, Salty Caramel, and Tonka Bean. Every time I wear this I receive compliments! Some people might think it’s more of a colder weather fragrance, but I’d say it’s year round. I’ve worn it on hot days and it’s great! The performance is easy 12 hours, no exaggeration! I think it’s a sharp looking bottle and juice color, also a neat cap too. The box is nice too, it has a velvety feel to it.

All i can say is after a visit to the store instead of blind buying online, i was so unlucky to end up having a cold which affects your smell if you have had covid recent to it. I was so excited to go to town and actually test fragrances for the first time in years. Well with no smell i ended up buying this and 1 Million Lucky. When i got home i had some mint tea and realized that Scandal and 1 Million Lucky smell exactly the same. The caramel smell overpowers everything else though. So if you like that smell of caramel and 1 Million Lucky you will love this but there is no need to buy both.

I love when my husband wears this cologne It is a clean, fresh, masculine scent. It wears well and is great for casual or a night out. It is not overpowering and seems like it would smell good on any man that wore it. I also like that the bottle comes with a small ring that locks the spray pump so you can pack it without worrying about it leaking or accidentally spraying when jostled around in your bag. The only thing I did not like was the packaging round metal tin that had to be opened with a can opener. The interior plastic holding the bottle in place was very difficult to remove a very strange way to package cologne. By the time we were done trying to get it out, it looked like it was vandalized I am not sure what a sealed metal tin proves for marketing. Outstanding

I first smelt this on a tester strip and was really taken by the fragrance. I've now just received my 150ml bottle 2day and it's such a beast of a fragrance. It's a strong scent which people will notice. You could wear this all year round but obviously go easy on the sprays in hotter weather. I have big collection of fragrances, especially niche house scents but this my favourite designer scent without a doubt. You won't be disappointed. Geranium, sandalwood and tonka make one brilliant scent.

Overpowering

I asked my husband to review this one for me, so here goes:Maybe I just have an unsophisticated nose, but this stuff smells cheap for such a big name brand. The woody scent was so powerfully cloying that I felt a headache coming on within moments of wearing it; even a quick spray feels like a cologne overdose. I immediately wanted to wash it off.This is just my opinion, of course - some people may like the smell. Definitely try before you buy. Even if I wasn't repulsed by it, I think the real scandal is that a gaudy-looking bottle of Scandal costs a small fortune. Doesn't really offer value for money given that there are much nicer scents on the market that won't drain your bank account.

This is mega sexy!

I tried this in The Fragrance Shop and was delicious and intoxicating. If you want compliments and to smell sexy then this is the one! Great for all seasons and for a EDT it performs well you get 8 hours easily. I bought it for my brother’s birthday and he loved it instantly never smelling it previously. There is a bright orange in the opening then a lightly sweet caramel note blended with the vetiver, tonka bean and aromatic clary sage. This is masculine, sexy aromatic with the sage and woody in the base. The caramel gives it a bit of sexy and seductive vibe. Truly delicious. If love Le Male, Invictus Victory Elixir and 1 million you will love this even more. Order received on time.
